Security rollup OTA

I got an OTA this morning, I think it is a security roll-up or something it is dated 1/29 I hope this is a precursor to Marshmallow.
Baseband version is now: G925AUCU3BOJ9
Build Number: LMY47X.G925AUC3BOJ9
Security Patch level is: 2016-02-01

Or they released it as a stop gap because they are delaying the M update.....

Probably stop gap. If M was imminent, they could just include the security update with the BIG update. AT&T really sucks in the update department....

Is it unlocked boot loader now so we can root again?

Mms seems to be working fine for me. What do your apn look like?

It was not the apn, talked with AT&T and verified that. Also AT&T checked and verified that many other were having same problem. The messages app was broken somehow

Can you give an example of how to reproduce the problem you are having? Aside from the screen going dark when I am holding the phone up to my face while on voice call (which is working fine for me) what are you using the prox sensor for?

that is the usage, i also noticed some other issues, auto brightness and auto rotate is also not working

I don't see this build number listed on the Ping Pong root. Does this mean I cannot root my s6 edge?

Stuck on Marshmallow?

Hi,
I just received my new phone, and I realised that I am still on oxygenOs 3.5.4. I checked the system updates, and it says that there aren't any updates available, but I see that nougat was released in January.
Is the Nougat update something that I need to trigger manually? Is there any reason to not update to Nougat? I guess all the kinks are pretty much ironed out by now.

You should have received it by now. You can manually download the ROM and either sideload it or place it in its folder.

You could try installing a free VPN app, changing the region to Canada or Germany and checking again. This is how I've done it.

I am facing the same issue. I got my 3T yesterday and it says no update available. I have not rooted my phone and wont root it unless absolutely necessary. Where can I download the official Nougat ROM from? And what is the procedure to sideload it?

OREO OTA - expected?

So, now that OREO beta is over and done with.
When do you all think T-Mobile will release the final OREO build OTA?

I'm confused about the oreo beta ending it was said to have ended the 15 but I still recieved 2 updated after the 15th

It still no release either and it is March 6th. I want it for my s7 edge but have to wait for this one to get it first. Stupid.

T-Mobile website says the S8 is currently in the testing phase for Oreo. So it shouldn't be too much longer just need them to sign off on the internal testing.

That's odd, they're working fine on my S8A... I did a factory reset immediately after upgrading though, maybe that's why.

Yes, Unlocked units get the updates after Carrier models, just curious why it is still showing August Security Patch when I already had the August Security Patch with the last update? Strange

It may of just been something Samsung forgot to add in or patch and thus threw out a new update for it with the same security patch. That's my guess anyway.

That's what I think. I don't remember the size of the first one, but I thought it was smaller than the second one.

I am still on ASGK, but I know soon AT&T will force me to whatever firmware is next whether I want to or not. A$$holez!

Just use a package disable and disable software update. I just recently updated but only when I enable it. I however I'm so sick of not having root or custom rom support and after I update it totally screws up my android auto and a few other apps after updating I may never update again. Does this mean we can install twrp recently? I really don't care about Knox and other samsung apps except for galaxy wear and maybe shealth for my insurance.

I don't see any strong reason to do rooting and custom ROM for my S10 as everything are already there with the stock OS from Samsung.

I did this update and not have l having trouble getting on lte.. what could I do to fix this? I'm on TMobile with unlocked phone.

AA disconnecting while unlocking phone problem

Hi everyone,
when I'm using AA and I unlock the phone, AA immediately goes down and few seconds later come back;
it's the same of removing the USB-cable and put it back. I'm sure it's not a cable problem, but a software one..
This problem started after the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 10 update was installed.

EDIT: I tried to disinstall and reinstall AA; Clear cache of the entire phone by (stock) recovery; and many other attempts.

I have read on other forums that Google has acknowledged an issue here, and that they have provided a fix to Samsung which should be included in the July patch. I was anxiously waiting for this fix, but after applying it, the problems is still not fixed on my EU Note10+. Anyone else who still has the AA problem on Samsung after applying the July patch?

I guess wait for the August patch and see if it is fixed there. I must say that I find the AA connection very unstable anyhow, many spontaneous disconnects/reconnects.

August patch did fix the issue! S10e

SOLVED with the ultimate security patch 1, August on my Note 10!

Fixed also for S10+ with August '21 patch. Finally!
