What rom are you using ?

Probably the power IC is damaged. If that's the case I fear that you will have to replace the entire board.

Sometimes happens after you flash a ROM.
Try using a battery calibration tool and see if that works......

I proposed this to a partner, you have nothing to lose, I tell you what I've done with something similar: download the whole battery, when you turn it on, nothing comes out, maybe it just vibrates, you remove the battery, the sim and the sd, so you put the power button for a few seconds and leave it like this for 4 or 5 minutes, after that time you set everything up and put it to charge, use it later until the battery is fully discharged, do not load it before only when it turns itself off, I hope this helps you

Same problem

Battery goes from 90% to 0%

Anyone have the problem that the battery status is incorrect? Sometimes within the hour of fully charing my device the screen starts to flicker and then device turns it self off.
When I restart and charge it the battery bar shows almost emtpy and goes to 100% after ten minutes in only one step.
I am using Sakajati's latest ROM. Only modification I did was replace IE with the previous version.
1. Flash a stock ROM see if still problem.
2. Try a different battery see if still problem.
Both will test hardware or ROM related.
Your battery is most likely dead.
yeah I agree your battery is most likely dead. I had the same problem with my first tilt. It died out cos I accidentally overcharged it a few times.

how did you overcahrge your tilt? i would like to avoid doing that.

You can't, the phone would just stop charging it.

i know the phone is smarter than that, but i figured he used an off brand charger or something like that, just wanted to make sure.
If you use too hot of a charger it can hurt the battery a little bit....
I know that a common cause of this problem beyond the battery is that the phone's calibration to read the battery level gets thrown off. To reset the calibration, turn the phone off, do a battery pull, wait a good 30 seconds, put it back in, then without turning the device back on, put it on the charger and let it chill for a couple hours. When all is said and done, you should have a fully charged battery and a recalibrated Kaiser.
I would not be to quick to blame the battery here but yes it could be that What SPL do you have? If the device acts dodgy whit screen freeze it could be that. I would try some other whit recomended rom and give it a spin before changing battery (ofc. short version is to borrow a fresh one to eliminate).

[Q] Something strange with battery

My galaxy ace is totaly crazy now.
I took it from charger, after 20 minutes it 50%, after 5 minutes i get warning and it reboots. After booting it show me warning and again reboot. After 5-10 times it just blinking. I cant go into recovery or even turnt it of.
I pull out battery, wait a minute, insert back. Then I connect charger and boot device...and the battery is 100%! what is going on?
i've already:
re-flashed 3 firmwares
cleaned battery stats
here you can see how big is battery drain and a fact that battery is nearly 100% after connecting charger.

If it actually is a battery problem, why isn't he able to turn off his phone? Any ideas?

Hard to know but it could be that the voltage from the battery is so low or fluctuating so much that the power switch is unable to function.
Similar to your TV remote where you sometimes need to jiggle the batteries slightly to make it work properly.
The first thing I would try and rule out is the battery... it's a relatively easy and inexpensive fix if that's the problem (ebay is your friend).

Don't excessively flash ROMs
revert to Stock ROM for the timebeing
And don't Delete/wipe battery stats because after every successful 100% charge the battery_Stats.bin file gets deleted and regenerated.
so deleting that bin file wont help
next, check if the contacts of your battery are intact and that they are not covered with dust
when you connect the charger cable to your phone then check if the cable is properly inserted or not,if no then insert it properly
If none of this solves your problem then i must say mate that you need to change the battery.
are you sure that it is a battery problem? :-?

I can take that into consideration but the analogy you gave doesn't seem to be that convincing. Sometimes it may be due to the unclean android system that causes all this & I best know how it drained my battery in less than 30 minutes but I still use the same & it lasts a day now. But it may even be the battery or may be anything else. Who knows? !:screwy:
@OP : Try a full wipe & a reflash. If that doesn't help, go to the sammies or buy a new battery.

Pull the battery, leave it out for 30 seconds, put it back in, put the phone on charge, leave it alone for 10 minutes to get a basic charge, unplug it, try to turn it on. If it boots then pug it back in to finish charging.

Give it a while - that's why I said 10 minutes. Let it try to recover - if you've totally emptied the battery it may take a while to sort itself out.

Xperia Z battery problem

Hi guys my Xperia Z1 was charged to 100% after some use normally went down to 93% next second i pulled the phone out of the pocket it was turned off tried to turn it on got it to vibrate once but nothing showed up on display tried once again few minutzes later it booted up but just went off on bootloader. I came hame and put it on charger phone turned on showing like 50% battery drained it to zero started charging to 100 on 60-70% on charging suddenly went up to 100%
i used phone for 2 days with random reboots and after switching it on showing different percent of battery remaining, today it wont work without charger after i disconect charger phone shuts down. Could anyone tell me if this is problem with battery or its faulty motherboard maybe? thanks
ps. i need fast answer because im about to buy a battery
Tried to boot phone into safe mode and see how it reacts? Also do you use Stamina mode or any other service that changes or reads system properties?
whats the point of booting in safe mode if battery percent is going crazy even when phone is charging wile its shutdown

You have classic symptoms of a dying battery. Replace it and the problems will go away... If you did a search, you would find exactly the same symptoms described by others and the same solution. Your battery can't hold power due to a deterioration of cells.

Try to make your phones battery empty as much as possible....my note 8 was doing the same thing...i waited for its battery to go to 0%..but even after it turns off itself... whenever i press the power button it turns on again and then turn off after the boot up..which means that it's battery is still not fully 0%...to make the phone complete dead..i went to boot locker and Waited for some time...after some time it was automatically ded(because in bootlocker the phone screen is on constantly)....then i recharged it to full 100% and now it's good as new.

Calibrating the battery like that sometimes does the trick. What you should keep in mind is that deep discharges wear down lithium-ion batteries, which can prove troublesome in phones with a non-swappable battery.
