Hi All,
I've been able to successfully install Viper on several Oreo Roms - it works fine for internal speaker and wired headphones. However as soon as I connect my Bluetooth Headphones (Sony MDR1000X) the driver state changes to Abnormal and Viper stops processing - meaning I don't get Viper goodness through my Bluetooth headphones.
I've tried every which way to install Viper, various APK's, Flashable Zips, all available in Magisk, ARISE sound system, etc..
The same occurs across all Oreo Roms. Works fine on Nougat Roms...
Any ideas? Anyone else see the same behaviour?

How did you installed V4A on Oreo 8.1? I'm running LOS 15.1 on Mi6 I can't figured it out how to install it. Classic I/O error...

The only Oreo ROM I was able to get this working on was the MIUI Oreo. I no longer own the Mix, moved to a Note 8. Hope you guys get to the bottom of this!

SOLVED! Just ROOT your device with latest Magisk (using v16 now), open Magisk menu tap downloads and type "viper4android" and then download and install "ViPER4Android FX for Magisk v15" module. Now you are good to go!

Have you got magisk on an internal or external SD card? What worked for me was to move it to internal storage.
SOLUTION
All you need to do is uninstall Magisk Manager and install it again from the following MagiskManager-v7.1.1.apk.

I've tried installing straight from the source github and I still get the exact same problem as OP on my Samsung S5 G900W8
In case anyone is reading this 1 month later, I had the same problem and had removed all remnants of old MM installs. The fix for me was to remove MM, then go into recovery and before running the 19.1 installer, run the official latest uninstaller first and then (without rebooting) install 19.1. After that, I could hide without the "setup failed".

Just tested the ROM for the Note Pro. Works fine so far, a little weak battery, but that's the major problem of the phone since the beginning.
Still looking for fixing green cam when video call using Whatsapp bro, I think the problem is volte mode, when I try to active volte mode from magisk module, then using video call Whatsapp, then I got notice that "can't use camera for this moment, try to restart if you still see this issue".
So when I unable volte mode, I can use WhatsApp for video call, but front cam and rear cam being green.
Ok i decided to try this rom and it is not bad. Today is my first full day using my old note pro with this rom and sim. I have a 3 hours screen time and 4 hours Spotify and i can't remember on miui life like this, so it is a good rom. APTX work with my KZ ZS5 and sound is excellent. Beside how to activate VoLTE i want to know if there is a way to activate camera2appi for using g cam, on miui 9 is easy, but here old method doesn't work.

I've noticed that since last update, whenever Magisk prompts for su authorization I have to press "grant" button and then touch the fingerprint to authenticate. I would like to got back to just touch the fingerprint for authorization.
I've already reinstalled Magisk, double checked configuration, cleaned up dalvik/art cache but the 'problem' persists.

If I remember correctly, that's caused by the Magisk Manager supporting Google's new biometric authentication API (Pixel 4 face unlock) and not something that can be changed.

They're using the new API for Biometrics. It's not actually an Android 10 feature, but just a new API... It also looked like that on older versions such as Pie (older versions than Pie aren't tested yet.)

I've always used a xiaomi.eu - stable rom on my mi8 and googlepay (an this ctsProfile) has never been a problem.
Around ~a month ago i tried a pixel-experience rom on my device and since then (no idea if there can be a correlation) i'm no longer able to make it work.
I returned to the same stable i was using, i tried newer stable, newer beta, i even deep flashed via fastboot the stock rom for my mi8 but i always fail the ctsProfile test, even with the stock rom unrooted.
I tried the SafetyPatch - https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-safetypatcher-t3809879 but with no success and even the MagiskHide Props Config https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-magiskhide-props-config-t3789228.
Currently i'm running:
MIUI 11.2
Xiaomi.eu 20.3.5
Android 10QKQ1.190828.002
and according to Magiskhide this is my device fingerprint.
Any suggestion?

This is known problem as Google changed the safety check methods more-less week ago. So if you had bootloader unlocked it dorsn't matter if you have stock rom and no root

Anyone ever get any of the custom roms to work with Verizon? They all seemed to install and operate fine but I know even after trying to install the two fixes out there that sim still never worked. Has there been any update to this? Thanks
You mean the volte fixes that Ulysses posted in the GSI guide thread? Those were meant for Android 9 GSIs and even caused me issues on AT&T. Receiving a text would make my service toggle on and off over and over until I rebooted my phone with those on the latest GSI roms which are on Android 10.

Thanks for the info! I tried your suggestions, but hasn't worked for me either... on the Razer Phone 2 on Verizon the phone simply says "No SIM card" & I haven't been able to get anything different. If anyone has any ideas, let me know

The SIM card is not recognized.
Many setting options are also missing in the network settings.
