Beta oreo on Canadian note problem - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

When the beta oreo (N950USQU3CRBB) came out I installed it on my Canadian note 8 (Rogers). Under "Service provider SW ver." XAA/XAA/XAC.
Now that the official oreo is out, I have downloaded the Rogers version and tried to install with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

What exactly isn't working when you try to install? Do you get a specific error message, etc.? Are you using Odin or Comsy Odin?

I get "Sha 256" error.
Will try Comsy after work. Thanks

Ok in that case it might be the version of Odin that's the problem. Make sure you are using the most recent version (Odin v3.13.1, I think).

Had to revert to BRA1 with modded Odin. That got me back to N950W from N950U, Oreo OTA came in right after.
Thanks for all the help. Much appreciated.

Note3 Sprint OS downgrade to Kitkat.

Please, can any one know any kitkat version for sprint repair firmware to download. I don't want to download it from sammobile. It is an old version why should I pay for it.

Try the Sprint forum .

If you dont want to pay try updato.com or just Google for your firmware .

Uninstall each app that is causing an issue and reinstall. The newer OS is great!

Sadly that didn't work
Yes, you can go back to N but it needs to be the latest N FW with bootloader v3.

Someone mentioned that you must factory reset your device after flashing android 8.
Try that if you haven't already like the dude above says.

The SM-T580 as well, but German firmware only.

Anyone on Bootloader 2 or 3, these fimwares will update it to 4. If you end up not liking 8.1 Oreo on the tablet and want to go back to your native country's stock 7.0 firmware, you might not be able to, so check before hand, or wait for custom firmware.

If you decompress the firmware and install it via twrp you can avoid that

Once it's released I'm sure there will be links to the firmware here, and it will also get pushed to your phone through OTA.

Thanks. Great appreciated. I just thought someone might have a link already. I don't want to root this device and tired of waiting. Lol.

Unless you're on REALLY old firmware, like a year old, you can't root it anyway.
And no one has a link, because it hasn't been released yet.
And there isn't Verizon-specific firmware. That ended with Oreo when Samsung introduced BYOD firmware to the Note 8 firmware. Now all carriers push the same exact firmware.
