Twitter notifications aren't working after oreo update. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions & Answers

After the oreo update my Twitter notifications stopped working. Seems like all my other notifications are working fine, I know the notification settings have changed, went thru them all and seemed to be set up right. Any input would be welcomed.
Thank You

Gmail notifications in bar

Alright I am stuck. I am getting no notification on the notification bar for gmail. Every other app is fine. If I go in to gmail the email is waiting for me. I have done a full factory reset and no luck. Notifications is turned on for gmail. Does anyone else have issues with gmail?
Go to application manager and click on gmail. Is notifications checked?

It went to update for me, and gets to Installing 11/20 and resets... over and over and over. I don't have my cradle for the gear with me at work, and I'm not sure how to fix this. Any ideas?
EDIT: Fixed - Manually uninstalled gear manager and gave it time to uninstall all of it's providers, and re-installed via the samsung apps app. Seems to be working fine now.
I'm in Canada and can't see the update yet.

Is it worse than the previous version as that's not working with Gmail either... Whenever I get one email in my priority inbox, I get about 3-4 notifications for emails from my regular inbox (which I don't get alerts for on my phone). I also don't get the notification for the email that was actually received. Also, every time this happens, my gear disocnnects and reconnects so I think that has something to do with why I'm getting these other multiple notifications.
i am on 1.6.111801

I'm using gmail and its perfect. On what do you support this? So much misinformation on xda any more, brutal.

My gmail is working great. It also appears that notifications are clearing for me again when I clear the email on the phone. Not sure about other apps. I still have a stuck "Missed Call" notification from a few days ago.
I'm still showing 1.5.121601 in Gear Manager. Is the update automatic, or is there a notification on the phone? The misaligned Gmail notifications -- getting a new email, and the notification on Gear showing an older email -- are driving me batty.
Edit: I found the update in the Samsung Apps store. D'oh!

Running stock Note 3 and Stock Gear. Notifications are random and not on time. I have reset the gear and uninstalled and reinstalled still hit or miss notification from gmail. with the 12302 update. You sure you got this vers? There are others reporting the same issue. This is not miss-information. lol
FWIW, here is an informal change log for the update from Samsung Support:
* Improved pedometer accuracy
* Add setting menu “Motions”
* Change motion menu for wake up gesture
* When connecting to device again (example: after powering on), send notification of all unread messages
* Changed to send notification only for new message
* Fix to add popup message for BT connection without GM in setup wizard
* Implemented standalone alarm
* Add additional PIN lock
* Changed and improved notifications menu
* Implemented more notifications
* Gear shows the messages of the notification of quick panel displayed on the phone

I basically just broke it out into a bulleted list.
Do anyone here using LINE Naver app. I just have a question. Why does our galaxy gear doesnt alert us whenever there is an incoming call? Only it notify me a new incoming messages. But for incoming calls and missed calls doesnt do anything. Hope someone could enlighten me. Just got my gear and updated to 1.5.123002
Just got the update to 1.5.123002. Doing some testing and now it seems to be grouping emails together into one notification. This makes it so that I see less of the message. Before the update, all the emails were separated in their own notification.

Yes I got the update this morning, I never had issues with the previous update either. I get all notifications that I want, including gmail, gnow, etc. They get marked read on phone if I read them on the watch. I'm on stock gear, note 3 with custom rom. Yes there are others with this issue, just like there are others for whom it works perfectly. To say gmail is NOT STABLE is misinformation. It may be for you, and that's how it should be stated.

Works absolutely fine with GMail....and I use it a LOT.....better battery since update....and camera pinch zoom on pics is much better....by the way I am running this on my Note 2 JB 4.3, and I have no issues at all. Was thinking about going the Note 3 route.....no need now, this partnership works just great for me. I can make calls using s voice without even touching the watch....sound is good. Right now, everything is fine. A few more decent apps would be nice though.

Twitter notifications

When I send a tweet with stock Twitter app I get a notification. If I shut it off by way of nitification settings, I'm unable to receive notifications when anyone retweets, likes or does anything with any of my tweets. Does anyone have an answer?

Notification Issues

I am having issues where I reply to texts and I still see my replies on the status bar. It's like the S10 created a thread out of received texts and my replies. How do I turn this off?
Pretty sure that's the setting where you allow notifications to show as pop ups.

Not an issue, I believe this is a "feature" with One UI. My friends S9+ did this after the pie update and my phone as well... Kind of annoying but it is nice to still see the conversation if you forget what was being talked about.

Question after update to 9.1.0311

Hello guys,
After I updated to 9.1,i noticed a weird behavior in the notification bar.
Before the update, when I had email notifications I had two options, to either click on the top right arrow of the email banner and expand the emails (some of them only shown) in the drop down notification menu, or to click directly on the banner and afterwards I was redirected in the email app, showing the inbox list.
After the update, if I click on the Gmail banner, it only expands the emails, regardless of I click on the arrow or wherever, but I have to select a particular email in order to be redirected to the Gmail app;after that it takes me straight to this particular email and not to the email list of the app,whereas before it was taking me to the email list.
I take it that this is either a bug, or a change of function.
The question is, is there any way to change the function? I am using my work email in which I receive maybe 600-1000emails per day and it is a PITA to get in a random email first and then to have to go back in order to see the email list..
Any ideas? Am I missing something?
P. S: of course this behaviour is not only in the Gmail app, but in all apps with multiple notifications
Cheers

Maybe it is a new function since some people complained about not being able to expand notifications
Same here!
And it's really annoying...
Looking for a way to get it back

I have no idea really. I was using this function maybe 50 times per day and now I have to bother going straight to the app, Gmail notifications are now useless to me given that I receive more than 600 emails per day, so the 3-4 expanded emails are pointless if I then have to go back, then go to the second home screen, then click again the app, to go to the same point I was with only one click before the update.. Maybe try one of the many email apps that might work for your specific needs? Gmail app is fine for average users not power users with so many emails.
Things change and our Huawei device is meant for consumers.
Good luck!

But it is not only the email app thingy, this is a change in the function of the notifications as a whole, it is just more of a pita with my email because I am checking it all the time..
Regerdless of the app, all the notifications now only expand and do not redirect you to the native app, but only to a particular notification. It is just stupid, they changed they way the notifications have been since android implemented more than a single notification for the apps. The primary function should be to take you in the app itself.. [emoji23]

Hmm I wasn't able to check that function yet but I do see a option in the Gmail app that only allows the one initial notification. Inbox notifications >> notify only once. Maybe that would work for you.
Cheers

Thanks for the input mate. However as I said, this is not a Gmail issue per se, but a general change in function of the notifications, regardless of the app.
In order to elaborate, let's say that you have WhatsApp notification in the bar (more than one single msg).. When you click on the notification it just expands, you cannot be redirected in the app, you can only click on one of the notifications and go straight into this particular msg.
Same applies to FB, to play store updates, to whatever app.
Let's hope that they will change this in the next updates.

I am sure it is a Huawei thing, since the last update retained the same android version and just upgraded the Emui ver..

Unfortunately the problem persists, even after. 328 update.
I really wish that we could somehow change the function. It is really pita to have to either go directly to one of the msgs in the notification, or to have to go back and then enter the app from the app menu of homescreen. Totally counterintuitive.

Really don't understand why they screwed this...
Same on p30pro
What about mate or other series?
As said : Anyone with an other phone brand / rom (if rooted) could check if this only happens with the last huawei updates?
Need to know if it only huawei 'pitifully' related :'(
