I read some comments regarding sound quality of NC. It seems that some guys who use CM7 complained about bad sound quality. Is this true??? I am now using the booted 1.1 version and find that sound quality is average but at least not bad. Compare to my another android cellphone Moto Defy, the sound quality of NC is poor.
Is there a way that can improve sound quality of NC?
Is the sound quality of CM7 really worse than the stock version???

Sound quality or volume? I hear about people complaining about the volume, but not quality. How's the quality with earphones? Is it just the speaker?
I always use my NC in a case when I'm watching a movie or playing music, as it GREATLY amplifies the volume. Quality I haven't noticed an issue with, but never really done any critical listening, always just background music.

Earphone is better than speaker.....regarding the speaker....I think the only way I can hear the sound from the speaker is to stay at home...
I am always listening music when I am reading via NC. I am not satisfied with the sound quality compared to my another android cellphone. So I think about a way to improve sound quality. I want to play lossless audio music like APE & FLAC on the NC but I dont know how.........
On cm7 u can use dsp manager, it can improve quality by a great extent( use speaker volume to adjust headphones volume too).
If it's volume of the NC that you're concerned about, use volume+ app from http://androidaudiohacks.com/home/volume-gingerbread
But if you mean the quality, then I'm equally clueless about what to do.

I was using CM12 but I had to return to stock because some bad battery drain issues. When using a fix for WhatsApp audio recording (avaliable on the CM12 thread), I noticed a HUGE sound quality increase on my voice recordings - no more crappy telephone-like voices, it sounds clear without noises and stuff. I decided to try the same audio file for stock KK but unfortunately it is incompatible.
My question is: since the same hardware can provide two very diferent sound quality levels, what I need to do in order to achieve the same or similar sound quality in Stock 4.4.4 ROM? Is there a file where I can change sound parameters and make it work better?
I used pixel experience for a week and reinstalled stock firmware. Then after the speaker quality had changed, there is disturbance in the sound when played in high volume. Please help
Anyone having trouble with sound quality in this phone is like lower than normal? I had tried the original earphone, usb-c to 3.5 and also my truewireless. But all are sound not loud enough and blur.
Why the mic quality is so so bad in all custom roms of this device, audio recording is too much noisy and poor quality at the same time, the sound output is so bad, can it get fixed in near future? even miui captures noise in audio recording but the audio quality is crisp loud and very decent.
Sound output is bad because custom roms don't have a proper Dolby support. I miss the good audio quality too in custom roms too but now I have to make do with Wavelet or rooted audio mods like JamesDSP or Viper4Android. As for mic quality, I don't personally notice it. People who call me don't have a problem with the mic. It can be fix by magisk module I think, Mic Fix by ryuki if I recall.
