How to Tell if I have the T-Mobile Variant of Moto X XT1053 and Not Developer Edition - Moto X Q&A

I'm looking to buy a used T-Mobile variant of the Moto X XT1053. What do I ask the seller to check to determine if he/she has the T-Mobile variant of the XT1053 and not the Developer Edition? How do you tell them apart easily?
If the seller bought the phone from Motorola's website, would that help? Did Motorola sell only the Developer Edition, or did they also sell the T-Mobile version? I don't remember how Motorola sold the 2013 phone back then.
Thanks very much!

Moto x models?

What is the model number for each Moto x variant? I have a GSM developers edition purchased through Motorola. For some reason I thought it was the XT1058 but when plugged into my computer it says XT1053. What is the difference? If it has already been posted sorry

[Q] which is sold on amazon - 1053 or 1058?

Sorry if it was answered before, but I could not find it.
I'm trying to figure which model is sold on Amazon as Motorola Moto X - 16GB, Unlocked Phone - US Warranty - Black
here (cannot post link - the id is B00E92AV2W)
Ships from and sold by Amazon.com - so I assume it is not resold by some merchant.
The questions I have:
1) Is it 1053, 1058, or some other model? A tried asking on Amazon with no luck.
2) How it will receive Android updates? As it's not tied to a carrier, will it be directly from Motorola?
3) Is it the same design as black/plain black back/silver accents from motomaker?
4) Is there any logo on the back? Apart from moto's
5) Does it have unlocked (unlockable) bootloader?
Thanks everyone who could help!
If it's listed as GSM unlocked, it's probably the XT1053. The XT1058 is the AT&T branded version.
No logo and no carrier bloat on the 1053. It will probably come with a T-Mobile SIM.

[Q] From Canada - Can I go to the US and buy the 2014 Moto X in stores?

I'm in Canada and finding it a bit of a challenge to find a workaround to get the Moto X through MotoMaker. I'm going to the US in October and was wondering if there are any stores that would carry the unlocked Pure Edition so I could just walk in and buy it?

Moto G 2nd Gen Verizon

I can't find any online for Verizon, but I see them in best buy for Verizon for $129.99.
I'm asking this because I want to buy it off someone on craigslist for only $40 but want to know if I unlock it, will it work on T-Mobile 4G.
I asked the seller the model number, he said its X1064. That's same model as the unlocked Moto G 2nd Gen I had before. So it had me wondering since its the same model then it should work.
Did they release a CDMA X1064 and a GSM X1064 model.
Can anyone help me.

XT1097 in the UK?

Hi.
I've seen a Moto X xt1097 here over in the UK but I thought the XT1097 only worked on American bands (AT&T)? When I spoke to the seller he assured me it will work here?
Is this right?
I've looked into it more and the bands seem to be compatible with the UK.
Well I managed to cancel the sale before it was sent out in the post. From what I have read the XT1097 is stuck on Lollipop and didn't get an official MM release because it was carrier locked to AT&T. Also the bootloader is a pita to unlock and it costs $25 to do.
