So, After trying various apps to get the AR stickers, below is how i got them to work.
1. Download AR core

Atom Visualizer for ARCore. This app will automatically install AR Core for you (<10mb>)

I dont know why but i am running oreo and these apps. did you try to install the posted version of stickers?

nope. just allow unknown sources and you'll be a-ok
just to let everyone know the camera app doesnt use the full 10mpx it only uses 5 or at least the app only has the option use up to 5mpx. also after installing it im noticing tearing in the viewfinder now with both camera apps.

The free "focal" app in the play store has photosphere feature

How well does this work? I mean, the stitching improved a lot in 4.4 on my nexus 4 but I was planning on buying the moto x to replace, I really like it but I don't want to lose photosphere.

anotherdroid from previous page provides a free download of the android camera/gallery. it works flawlessly...of course it also means you have two camera apps. i normally "twist" to open the moto x camera and the android camera on homescreen.

Looks like it. I did a test photosphere with the nexus gallery camera posted on the first page and uploaded it to G+. It is viewable there and if I click the details it looks to have all of the normal geolocation tags.
I'll try to do a real test this weekend.

Hrm so oddly, the images I upload to G+ with Nexus app are not viable on G+ in chrome on my PC. The Android G+ app views them OK. I wonder what is happening there.
Working like a champ on my KK Moto X. It does drop the resolution to 5MP but the shutter lag is significantly lower with this camera - which is why I wanted it. Thanks for the APK!
works great, but one issue
the app works great on my at&t moto x, however, i cannot upload the photosphere to google maps. when i click share to maps, it takes me to the app maps, instead of uploading. anyone experienced that too? (share to g+ or g+ photos works fine)
I've been using the stock camera app, but have wondered if I'm missing something better.. I'm not a serious or good photographer by any means. Mainly looking for something simple, that allows save to SD that will take good pictures

I use the Moto camera app that was stock on the phone. 2 reasons, first, if I want to take great pictures I use my dslr not a phone. Second, I love the twist of the wrist to start it. Usually if I am using my phone to photograph it is because a quick something is happening or about to happen and I can twist my wrist as I bring it up to my face level and the camera app is open and ready to use. Just my 2 cents.

Exactly, I have the same feelings about moto camera. Also you can record video very quickly (no need to change mode like in other apps). Slow motion video is quite fun too. The only thing that I hate is that it doesn't have built in gallery like for example google cam which leads to delays and bugs.
I'm using HTC Camera and it works well.
Snapdragon camera, which I'm really liking.
I'm using Moto camera but the newer version (camera1) ported from Moto G which adds in a better UI and some manual controls
For pics I use the Google Camera with the HDR+ enabled, it takes great shots when there's a lot of light, Moto camera it's ok, but I rather use Google's. I'm also using Footej (haven't used it that much but so far so good!).
Since I'm rooted I have Xposed, whith the Twisty module I can enable the wrist twist to open any of the cameras I want as default.
For my use of a camera and I have tried many, I really like Open Camera from the Play Store. It offers some of the best options and features without getting all gimmicky.
Using two camera apps, Camera1 from the play store (Motorola's New Camera) for taking pictures and Open Camera for video recording
I have been using "DSLR Camera" from the store for about the last two years. Does everything I want with no fuss.

I prefer SnapDragon Camera. I believe you must have a caf kernel in order for it to work correctly.
Can someone test please if Gcam works on Note 8? Since it have that dual camera setup, I don't know if taking a Qualcomm Note from US (that works with Gcam on S8) will be OK.

This is not the Pixel camera. Just the regular Google one without HDR+...
there is a google hdr camera app thread that has this app in it. i have it installed on the note 8.

Personally I use OG YouTube, let's you download, ad free, and has pop up player. You have to use micro-g apk also. I will zip them both up if you want and upload to Mega if you want?

What's the micro-g app for again? Could I just use the OG YT app without it? I don't care about being able to sign in to YouTube.
i use youtube downloader here from XDA because i simply use official app and just press share and choose to youtube downloader...

. b Com you can use it without it...the micro-g app modifies the Google framework so it plays nice with OG YOUTUBE. In order for OG YouTube to work properly, you first have to uninstall any YouTube updates then disable YouTube altogether, reboot to clear any leftover stuff. Then install micro-g, then install OG YouTube...

Looks like everything's working pretty well. I really do like the extra settings and capabilities. Downloads tested fine, I was able to watch the videos on my other video app. Looks good. One small tiny thing that I don't have that I did before on the stock YouTube app is the ability to expand the screen to fit this new aspect ratio. You know what I'm talking about, right? Not the biggest issue as I usually prefer the native video ratio instead of stretching it on this new N8 display. But if I ever do wanna watch a video from YouTube and have it stretched to fit I can always download it and watch it on MX Video Player. Pretty neat app, overall. Thanks again for the help!

How can I fix this?! I have tried everything from enabling and disabling YouTube. Clearing cache, nothing. Anyone else has had this problem? Only thing I'm thinking of is resetting the phone.

I also have the same issue
the crop to fit icon was there until yesterday then gone
I tried everything
only factory reset from stock recovery worked
and it worked for a while only
I force stopped YouTube update to make sure I stay on the version that have crop to fit
but it's galaxy apps update that's cousing the icon to go missing
one of the Samsung app update is to be blamed
