Best way to tranfer data from old Android phone to Nokia 7 Plus? - Nokia 7 Plus Questions & Answers

I will receive next week my NOKIA 7 PLUS phone but do you have any recommendation on how to move all data from the old android phone (honor) ? I read several guides suggesting different methods (via NFC, specific apps, just google account, etc) but I am not sure which to choose. Any best practice you can recommend?
Thanks,

[Q] Transfer existing apps/data from old X to new X?

Hi all. I did a search but couldn't find a clear answer to this particular question. If it's out there I would appreciate if you could throw me a link.
I just received a replacement Moto X for my current unit which has a bad camera. Both were created using Motomaker if that makes a difference.
I've got the new phone activated and used Migrate to move the basic stuff, but I can't seem to find a way to move the majority of my apps to the new phone (I've used Titanium Backup previously but I guess that's not an option here as both have 4.4.2) and I've got quite a few programs that contain settings and data that I really don't want to lose or have to recreate from scratch.
Is there a program that would allow me to move the bulk of my current apps and the related data to the new phone relatively easily or should I just start the copy/paste bucket brigade via USB and my computer?
Edit: I'm also open to using adb and a nandroid backup if that's a possibility, but I would appreciate pointers to instructions if they exist. Thanks.
Does Google back up work, when I switched from my HTC to my MotoX, everything went across including wifi locations.
It should be in your menu, you are actually backing up your Google account and it restores data on any device that you sign in on.

It doesn't appear to be working as advertised. I've installed the same apps that were on my original phone and none of them had the same configuration or data on the new phone. I've even tried removing apps from the new phone and forcing a sync on the old phone, then reinstalling on the new phone about a half hour later to see if that might help but have had no better results.

Is it working properly with the Moto X now? I've seen quite a few reports of it failing on Motorola phones and the Play description itself mentions that it's not available to Motorola devices.

[Q] Transfer Texts from Android to WP?

Can anyone please share any methods they've found to successfully move text messages from an Android phone to a 8.1 WP?
The specifics are: AT&T carrier; old phone is an HTC One X (Android); new phone is Nokia Lumia 1520 (Windows Phone 8.1)
I thought I'd successfully done my research before making the switch, but the Nokia's Transfer My Data app apparently doesn't work with text messages on newer WPs. The dude at the AT&T store was going to transfer "everything," but the battery on the 1520 was completely drained so he referred me to AT&T's Mobile Transfer app. As far as I can tell, though, that doesn't work with WPs. <sigh>
I'm pretty frustrated with myself at this point as the text messages really are the most important data I keep on my phone -- they are important enough that I do a weekly backup of them. I got a little burned when I switched from an iPhone to Android, which is why I tried to do better research this time. Apparently, I didn't research well enough because what I thought would be a simple task with Nokia's Transfer My Data app hasn't worked for the text messages.
Suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Moto X 2nd Generation XT1097 Gmail confirmation Loop

Hello people!

Well, I own a smartphone Moto X 2nd Generation, never updated, never did root or unlock the bootloader. So this week I decided to upgrade it to the latest version of lollipop 5.1, and made a hardreset ..

I wonder if here in the forum have this or another method that can solve my problem ..
Well, so far I have not had even a method that solves my problem , I'm trying in some way the flash unit , the most of such OEM options are disabled as well as USB Debugging, has some way to enable ADB or via fastboot via pc ?

No, it can't be done. You have to be able to get into the phone to turn on ADB.
There is no solution that you can do. You need to ask the previous owner to login then remove the account. You can't do anything yourself.

Have you heard of the method I mentioned above ? Sera that it is really possible? I think is something like this :

There is no way around it. You must talk to the person whose account is on the phone. There is no other way.

Question WhatsApp from iPhone to Pixel 5a (Android 12) after initial setup?

Hey there, Android 12 introduced a features that allows folks to transfer their WhatsApp data from an iPhone to Android devices. See here: https://www.androidauthority.com/transfer-whatsapp-chat-iphone-to-android-3048389/
However, this is designed to only work if the Android phone is fresh out of the box and the migration can't be triggered once the phone is already set up.
Is there a way to trigger the transfer even though the Pixel has already been set up, without relying on shady 3rd party migration software? I don't understand the technical reason for this restriction, seems it's some business bull**** reason?
(In my case, the Pixel arrived with Android 11 and only offered me to upgrade to Android 12 after I had already started using it. I was not aware that this feature would be coming in Android 12.)

Not sure if there is a way to trigger transfer once set up, but you could factory reset once you have upgraded to android 12 and then phone would be in out-of-the-box state.

so I tried it on a brand new pixel and it still didn't transfer ....
connected the two phones with the cable... selected the "move to android" option on the iPhone ... went to the Android and installed WhatsApp from Google Play ...
When I launch WhatsApp it simply ignores the connected iPhone. Asks me for phone number & verifies it, but never offers to restore from iPhone.
Why? Does it support encrypted backups? Does it support account PINs? I'm clueless. I tried 3 times (phone reset).

Sorry I can't be of more help. I don't have WhatsApp or iPhone, so I don't have any direct knowledge of your issue. My only experience is with Signal, which does support encrypted backup files. With signal, you must record encryption key that is generated when backup file is created, then you must import backup file on new device and provide encryption key. Not sure if WhatsApp has similar export and import capabilities. I guess you tried the device migration tool in the Pixel Setup?
same thing happned to me there is no option to trigger the data restore tool & also the playstore wont install data restore tool on pixel 4 xl

Question Slow USB WhatsApp Iphone to 11T transfer

Wonder can anyone help.. This seems like the biggest difficulty ever. Transferring WhatsApp backup from Iphone to Android. Apple ecosystem is working tremendously hard to prevent you moving from Apple to Android. Its been already a week of trying to solve this issue.
I have finally found a 3rd party app that can migrate Iphone back up then convert into Android format and then restore. ( This switch option is currently only available to Samsung user in free format.I guess Samsung ecosystem is also fighting this issue hard to win people over)
The problem I have, 11T pro file transfer is ridiculously slow. I need to move 6gb of WhatsApp messages and no matter what I do or PC I use ( Mac/Laptop or pc) 11T pro will cancel the transfer always around half way. It just disconnects. Even if I use directly connected USB drive, same thing.
Im slowly starting to regret this idea of going back to android.. Or maybe 11T pro is just a crap phone.. Which all tells me that apart from a good Snapdragon and fast battery charger, everything else is poo..
Help appropriated! Thank you
