Some RIL log:...
No other errors but this:

From what I can see from the log is that the path libpath is read from the file system..prop AFTER the line where rilLibPath=(null).
rild_main: o: read prop rild.libpath1, result=30, value=/system/lib64/libbalong-ril.so
AND
rild_main: o: read prop rild.libpath2, result=32, value=/system/lib64/libbalong-ril-1.so
So that should be fine.
Small note.
system.prop at Line 123: rild.libargs=-mmodem0
But is then redefined at line 259. rild.libargs=-m modem0
Did you try to give permissions to files, such as the modem, rild?

I think that this is the fix https://github.com/papsi177/Honor_7_framework_av/commit/255091c935a1505351d5186d3747adf1918efbf2
We use LOS stock codecs instead of Huawei proprietary codecs, I will try to implement them to the source, but firstly we need to fix camera, sensors, GPS etc...

There isn't a Huawei phone with Hisilicon chipset on AOSP based ROMs that can play [email protected] videos, because they use software decoders from Google. Only @papsi177 seems to have been able to fix hardware decoding.

I removed the doubles.
This is from the environment:
https://android.googlesource.com/platform/hardware/ril/+/master/rild/rild.c#97
But in nougat that does not exist: https://android.googlesource.com/platform/hardware/ril/+/nougat-mr2.3-release/rild/rild.c
Anyways, the prop is set in system.prop https://github.com/T1mpp4/android_device_huawei_hwgra/blob/lineage-14.1/system.prop#L249
I have a feeling that the service ril-daemon is still not started. I will now try to start it somehow and see

Do you have right proprietary files?

I will now try with your hisi.rc and platform.rc ! I also rebuild vendor files if there is some problems

Well..Here is no secret. If want play HD video, you have to use hardware codecs. It must to be implemented to vendor and properly configured. All is shared long time befor. You have just take what you need Btw i dont undestand why other devs, who working on Huawei devices with huawei SoC, dont use this as well(i mean harcored codecs)
I hope this week end i finally boot my LOS14 and many questions will clear for me..

The sim is there and the logger knows it. But then it does not find rild socket. The blob is there in it's place. I'll try with another rild (system/bin/rild) from device alice later.

Again, thanks!:highfive:
I will test on sunday

So it turns out that the issue was in kernel. It is now fixed! All credits for @Speedo.thc !!
This same fix also fixed wifi (and did not disable sound)
Now looking at camera issue:
I see that nexolight had earlier the same kind of issue here: https://github.com/CM-Huawei-P8-Development/device_gra_l09/issues/2
I looked at her fix and added some blobs and get this in log:
CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE "/system/bin/mediaserver": cannot locate symbol "_ZNK7android14ICameraService22getInterfaceDescriptorEv" referenced by "/system/lib/libcameraservice.so"...
If someone knows a fix, tell. I'm done for today but tomorrow I will look at it more. Maybe just something simple like this shim: https://github.com/Spirtix/android_device_huawei_HWPLK/blob/lineage-14.1/shim_libs/camera.cpp
Looking at sensors also quickly:
SensorService: couldn't load sensors module (No such file or directory)
I will now upload latest to mega: https://mega.nz/#F!pf5TTJYI!vISWqwBm3BfBW9uRD-K87A

Welcome to Android Open Kang Project!ROM Version: 8.0
Device: Alice
Maintainer: XTutorials
Build Status: UNOFFICIAL
Disclaimer:
Code:
* Your warranty is now void.
* We are not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone by installing any custom ROMs and/or kernels.
* You do it at your own risk and take the responsibility upon yourself and you are not to blame us or XDA and its respected developers.
What is AOKP?AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
What's Working: -Touchscreen
-MTP
-ADB
-External-SD with exFAT support
-Dual SIM Support
-Wi-Fi
-GPS
-Screen Recorder
-Audio
-Video Playback
-Deep Sleep - UNTESTED!
What's working PARTIALLY:
-Disable Wi-Fi/Bluetooth scanning On Settings->Location to fix : deep-sleep issue!
-Enable Look screen "On Call Proximity" to prevent accidental touch during calls!
-Use Footej Camera to record video up to 1080p!
-YouTube 720p60fps works in ~20fps-- but it might work with some third-party YouTube apps or use YouTube in Web Browser
-RIL may stop working after a reboot
-There might be other minor issues
What's not Working: -Encryption
-Bluetooth
-NFC
-Sensors
-Off-mode charging
-Single SIM support
-VoLTE
Installation: -It is mandatory to update your device to EMUI 4.1 B895/B896! (otherwise RIL won't work correctly)
-Copy ROM and Gapps to your SD-Card
-Reboot to TWRP 3.1.0-0
-Make factory reset (or clean wipe, more recomended)
-Flash B895/B896 Update if not installed already! (if yes, skip this step!)
-Restore your recovery(TWRP) because installing B895/B896 update overwrites it and if you don't make this step you'll be stuck with stock recovery until you'll flash it again.
-Make a factory reset wipe
-Flash ROM and Gapps
-Reboot and enjoy!

Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q)
1:
Q.Is this ROM stable enough to be my daily driver?
A.As I don't own a P8 Lite anymore and I can't test it, I can't respond to this question. But the public can!
2:
Q.Will this ROM get official updates?
A.In this moment, no. If OpenKirin or our team can fix some more bugs on the Oreo device tree, maybe I will.
3:
Q.How is battery life?
A.As I said, I don't own the device anymore, so public reviews will tell.
4:
Q.What is logcat?
A.It is a tool what reads the system while running and I can fix problems easier if I see exactly what causes the problem. You will need adb tools installed or linux or adb shell on windows and usb debugging enabled in Settings-Developer Options. If you cannot get a logcat, just tell me the problem. I'll still try to fix it.
Install
The install fail, doesn't work
I guess that you still need a device to test before to release any custom ROM Android 8.0/8.1, or at least a few testers to check your ROM previously
It's not enough to build without issues the whole source code - because the resulting ROM may refused to boot for different reasons !

I know, but nobody did respond to my request. I'll try to find one a.s.a.p. Many requested to release dot 8.1 but nobody did offer to test it before releasing. I'm not releasing any other ROM without testing fron now.
Anyway, I'm not allowing these 2 ROMs to be unbootable. I might've found a temporary "fix".

Update 22/07/2018!
Changelog:
-Finnaly made it to boot successfully
Download:aokp_alice_oreo__2018-07-22
Note: The only thing I did to this update is to use OpenKirin's RROS 6 boot.img. This way it boots with no problem. I really hope OpenKirin doesn't mind doing that, but if they do I'll probably remove this update. I could've fixed the boot problem the "hard" way, but since oreo for this device is just in experimental-phase I won't waste more time(and money, since I'm using Google Cloud Platform) on fixing this problem.

Regards,
I can report that it boots without problems but after a while it stops working ever after a reboot
PD: and my sim only works on the second slot
PD2: I started over but with b896 (in the previous attemp I used b895) the SIM was detected on first slot, 4g works, gps works, voice works without distorsion... BUT I restarted the phone to install Magisk and I lost my SIM , I mean, the phone didn't detect it.
Before the reboot I install some apps and it was fast.
I hope you can fix the issue with the sim
Tested on single sim. Functions as expected, lost RIL on reboot. excited for future updates
guys already have three firmware and the problem is one, after a reboot, the sim is lost
I'm wonder why NFC doesn't work for you, while was working on my aosp 8 tho?
It is a pity that this rom is very beautiful, but after a while the screen is black and stop working, do you have any solution?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9.0 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

If you are facing some bugs other than the ones mentioned in the thread i recommend you to make a clean install with no additional addons you may have installed, and check if those bugs persist because many a times people use some scripts or tweaks for performance/battery tuning and end up with some things broken. Such cases won't be entertained.
Since I no longer own the device, I make builds and sent them to my testers. A special thanks to all of them who try out all the test builds quickly and efficiently and make these XDA releases possible.

HWC is hardware composer HAL. Google about it. Also you can safely ignore that issue since it was broken on oreo too since ages and it was never mentioned that it's broken.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Hi all,
This is an unofficial Pie build for the Galaxy S3 (i9300) based on LineageOS 16.0.
Most of the ROM features are working, but the overall state might be not stable or not suitable for a daily use. This is an alpha quality build. Don't install this ROM as your daily driver.
This work is heavily based on works of forkbomb444 (thanks for device tree, kernel and device patches for LOS 14.1), rINanDO (thanks for device tree, kernel and device patches for LOS 16.0) and A$teroid (thanks for cherry-picks I took from his kernel).
What is working:
Boots
Audio (playback && recording)
Bluetooth
Graphics
Camera
Sensors
RIL (SMS, mobile data, calls)
Wifi
USB
Video playback (HW/SW)
What is not working:
GPS
SIM PIN unlock doesn't work
maybe yet something
Reporting bugs
When reporting reboots, please produce log below as follows
(using adb or terminal)
Code:
su
cat /proc/last_kmsg > /sdcard/last_kmsg.txt
and attach in this thread.
If reporting another issues
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
A rough timestamp of when the issue occurred is also useful.

to quickly & easily capture logcat (Main log), Kernel log (dmesg) & Last Kernel log (last_kmsg which is important in case of unwanted reboot) without using a computer + adb or use a Terminal emulator on the phone:
Root the phone
Developer Options > Store logger data persistently on device > select All. More info about it here on developer.android.com
Install the free SysLog. (screenshot)
View attachment 4644180
Reboot the phone & reproduce the problem(s).
Open Syslog & select logcat, dmesg & last_kmsg. Add some significant keywords in the bottom including in Notes describing the bug & hit Take log.
The individual logs + a .zip of all of them will be saved in /sdcard/Syslog. You must rename them .txt to be able to attach them to an XDA post like logcat.log > logcat_log.txt for example. Or you can choose Share which will .zip them & then you can attach to a post or upload somewhere & link to in your post if the .zip is too big for XDA's attachment service (20 MB max).
Done! And make the dev happy.
***
Bug Reports & Logs?
If the phone is not rooted you can grant this permission to enable Syslog using ADB (15 seconds ADB Installer) & a computer:
adb shell pm grant com.tortel.syslog android.permission.READ_LOGS
You can also install an app like MatLog to analyse the logcat, filter it, search in it, export files etc but Syslog is fast & easy. If not rooted grant permission for MatLog:
adb shell pm grant com.pluscubed.matlog android.permission.READ_LOGS

6.12.2019 - build #4
Sources update (November 2019 ASB)

Gralloc sometimes runs out of ION memory. This can cause uncorrect work of some WebView or 3D applications.
If you encounter any weird issues please make sure to make a clean install.
4.12.2019 - build #3
This build is using a new kernel (LK 3.18.140). The main differences I would like to list are following:
more adequate CPUfreq driver (no governors like PegasusQ are included, the default CPU governor is Ondemand).
CPUidle fixes (power consumption in deepsleep should be better than in 3.4 kernel)
possibly, better memory management (but don't expect too much, this ROM is really heavy for that small amount of RAM)
Known bugs:
GPS
Gralloc sometimes runs out of ION memory. This can cause uncorrect work of some WebView or 3D applications.
9.03.2019 - build #2
A long list of fixes that are common with LOS 15.1 (see "Known Issues" below)
Updated sources to 9.0.0_r31
PowerHAL improvements (credits to @rINanDO for original code)
Increase memory heap size for Gapps (credits to @linusdan)
Kernel init.d script 94kernel is moved as /vendor/etc/init/tweaks.rc
Removed in-built SU
Known Issues
Graphical artifacts *
Camera often freezes when starting video record
Sometimes (rarely) magnetometer doesn't work
Maybe more
There is also a rare bug with PackageInstaller that prevents installer window to be minimized (which is probably related to our buggy graphics libs).
Warning: I have not tested installation with Gapps, but according to S2 thread, Gapps installation can cause some device lagging during the startup.

Boots
Audio (playback && recording)
Bluetooth
Graphics
Camera (photos only)
Sensors
RIL (SMS, mobile data, calls)
Wifi
USB
Video playback (HW/SW)
What is not working:
Video recording
HW video playback might be not working for a certain video codecs types
Screenshots
Sensors (accelerometer & magnetometer)
GPS
AppOps is broken, every app can get root capabilities without user confirmation. I probably should repeat again, don't use this ROM if S3 is your main phone.
maybe yet something

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10 (Q), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restores the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
ROM project Info:
I wanted to share this lineageOS build that comes with some fixes and features introduced by me for the lineage-17.1 branch but not available in the official one. For example, the "hide navbar" option in the Settings app isn't available in official lineageOS' sources. So when this rom will be updated, the OS will reflect changes introduced in some of my own repos which are linked below (they're all available on my Github profile).
I don't plan to release for other models as I don't own a server to test multiple variants but only my PC with limited hdd capacity to compile this rom.
Supported devices:
If your device/variant IS NOT listed on the FIRST post, then IT IS NOT SUPPORTED.
Code:
- gprimeltexx (SM-G530FZ) (since V1stable)
- fortuna3g (SM-G530H) (since V2stable)
Screenshots:
see next post
Changelog:
see next posts
Working things: (if you can test tell me)
- RIL
- WiFi
- Audio
- Bluetooth
- Brightness
- Flash
- Camera (+ video)
- NFC
Not working things: (if you can test tell me)
nothing at the moment, yay!
What to test:
- Sensors
- GPS
Instructions:
1. Download the ROM .zip file (+ Gapps if you want them)
2. Boot to TWRP (or similar recoveries)
3. Flash ROM .zip file -- If you have an older release of THIS rom then you can dirty flash on top of it. Otherwise, you'll need a full wipe (Data, Cache, and System partitions) before flashing.
4. Flash Gapps if wanted
5. Reboot
6. Enjoy!

Reporting bugs:
DO NOT report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or if you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.
Fill the following report template:
Code:
Build date/Release version you downloaded/installed (the name of the .zip file):
Device variant you are using:
Gapps version (if using):
Did you--
wipe:
restore with titanium backup:
reboot after having the issue:
Are you using--
a task killer:
a non-stock kernel:
other modifications:
Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed:
Thanks to:
@itexpert.120, @DarkDroidDev, @vince2678, @siesta283 (for the build server), (and me @Gabboxl!)

At the time I'm focused on gprime Lineage 18.1 development. I don't have much space to keep 2 Android roms at the same time on disk. Sorry.

This release is only for g530fz (aka gprimeltexx).
You can install 11 from here if you want, I've built it for fortunave3g also.
Hello there,
Will there be a continuation of this project?

Lineage os 18.1 is running slow on my G530FZ phone, it would be great if there was 16 or 17.1 version that supports nfc

This is probably a gprime hardware problem, even when recording it lags.
I installed lineage-16.0-20200819-UNOFFICIAL-gprimeltexx and screen sharing is working. At this time, nfc is not working, each version has different agents and disadvantages.
