Rattle - anyone else? - Sony Xperia XZ2 Questions & Answers

If you tap on the lower right (with the back facing you) of the back of the xz2 there's a very pronounced rattle. Does anyone else have this? I think it is the location of the new dynamic vibration motor. Before I send it back, figured I'd probe here
Thanks much

Thank you! I figured it was the motor but since I bought the international version I have limited time to return. I'm glad it seems normal.

Same here. Seems to be normal.

[Q] Slight rattle around camera area on Optimus x2

Hi!
Just got my phone back from repair and today when i put it down on the table I noticed a slight ratteling noise. I decided to try to figure out where the sound came from and it is coming from the area where the camera is. I figured it out by gently tapping around that area. What could cause this rattle? Is it something in the camera? Is it the autofocus lens?
Br D
Anyone who can confirm what it is? Just want to be sure that the repair shop havent broken my phone.

No ratteling here.....

It's usually the auto-focus mech that rattles in the camera, HTC's tend to do it. My O2X doesn't however, I checked when I got it, and this thread made me check again.
Damn....was hoping it was normal. It is really annoying sometimes. Since I didnt noticed it on my last Optimus x2 I suspected that it was something wrong.
Sigh.....Looks like its going to be another week without the phone then. The repair shop also scratched it. Getting tired of this....
Notice it here as well. Mainly if you tap around the camera or drop it in your hand (probably any surface, but not willing to try).
Can it be the vibration mechanism. That also sounds loudest around that area, it has anyway a loud vibration noise I have to say..

Hmm then Im not the only one that has this ratteling. I have read several threads about the Nexus One handset having this problem. With the Nexus One it was the auto focus mechanism that made the noise. But if it is the auto focus mechanism on the Optimus x2 aswell then all should have this ratteling noise. Not only a few.
So, how should I proceed with this? Should I send it back in for replacement or should I just discard this as something that is normal on camera phones?

Since so many have it I think its normal. But I have sent an email to LG support asking them. Have not received an answer yet though.
I have it too.
Then i think its settled, its normal with this rattle and it comes from the autofocus mechanism in the camera. All camera phones seems to have some degree of this ratteling noise.
yeah this is normal after taking a picture with af. i had 6 and all of them made that noise, dont worry.

It's all good it's a protection against the water. Sony says that you need to let it dry for 3 hours.
It will work fine around that time.

As this thread is about speakers, while listening to either a movie or music, the sound is only coming out the bottom speaker for me, is there a setting somewhere I need?
There is only 1 speaker, which is at the bottom.

Ah ok thanks, I must remember to hold my phone upside down then when someone calls, so I can actually hear what they are saying! lol
Mine isn't!
My Sony Xperia Z got "some" water flushed into it, now speaker is very very low (hardly heared on full volume).
8 Hours , have passed still no change?
I think something is wrong other than water what could it be? It didn't fall, hit something hard (all elegant handling)
Advise me people!

Glass coming loose...

Good morning XDA community! I recently bought myself the Moto X 2014, saved up and went for it! I have had the phone for about a month and after three weeks I noticed the bezel at the edge of the screen coming loose a bit. The phone has not been dropped!! I have been nothing but careful with it. I have attached some images of the issue four weeks on and as you can see it is progressively getting worse!!! Is anyone else having this issue? And is there a way to fix the issue? I have contacted Motorola but seem to not get any response from them :/
Get it replaced ...if u still have warranty...

Motorola doesn't have the best quality control in the world in my experience, my device's back panel is slightly loose in between the lens and dimple, and the speaker grille isn't secure, but this is a bigger problem, so I would advise you get it replaced or fixed ASAP.

Thanks for the advice Would you recommend going through Motorola or finding an independent repair shop?

Can some one who has the new xz2 get back to me.

Missus has the phone and when the SIM tray is removed and put back in it sometimes doesn't go back in properly. Looks like there is something small like a small bit of plastic stuck out by the entry hole has anyone else got this.

I don't think it should effect it as the system will still say you have the contract out which is the main thing there worried about just ask them at the store but I honestly cannot see a problem
I have the ps4 on the deal too but if there was a fault with the phone I'd soon take it back

No it was actually the information label folded over abit. I thought it may have been as Sony phones always seem to have them but didn't won't to go pulling it if it was something bad.
What I cannot understand is why there is no double tap to wake or always on display or something like that.

Question Noise canceling

Can anyone tell me if this phone has noise canceling? Because if it does have it, it doesn't work on either of my 2 phones.

On the right edge, you will find the volume rockers and the power button which has the fingerprint scanner built-in. On the top edge, you got the noise-cancelling microphone and a stereo speaker grille. On the bottom edge, you get the dual SIM slot, a noise-cancelling microphone, the USB-C port, and the secondary stereo speaker grille. The left edge is empty.
I know that. I'm wondering if noise canceling in phone calls works because I don't think it does. Call quality is not good (putting it mildly) and I can hear all sorts of sounds while I talk to someone. I'm used to good noise canceling in calls on my previous phones so this is very strange for me
