[ASK] Step by Step changing ROM without PC for newbie - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

hi everybody who still here
i just receive an samsung SII gt-i9305 from singtel (singapore) unlock.
software are android 4.3
if i want to update (android) and get rid of samsung stuff (changing to lineage or other aosp rom) what is the safest way for me
and please no PC ?
1. root (i use one click root is it okay? already check and can be root but not root it yet)
2. mobile odin to flash TWRP ?
3. reboot to TWRP, backup, flash custom rom ?
are those steps enough?
or any link maybe? with related files.
usually i work with nexus and xiaomi and manage to do it without pc
just root, install twrp from apk
and boot to twrp to install custom rom
but with samsung, i have no clue
any help plz

With PC
1) Flash TWRP via Odin3
2) Flash Custom rom and opengapps via twrp
3) And finally flash root addon
Without PC
Your phone should be rooted first, then install Flashify app from play store, download twrp image for your phone and you can flash it with Flashify

[ROOT][HOW TO]Redmi 2 MIUI 7 Easy Root method via recovery!!!

If you dont know you can install the MIUI 7 on your phone by clicking on this link: http://en.miui.com/thread-149081-1-1.html
There is a full description on how to install MIUI 7 on your Redmi 2...
This method can successfully Root your Redmi 2 running MIUI7...
Steps are as follows:
1)Install TWRP recovery(I used TWRP myself so I dont know totally that any other recovery will work or not..you can yourself comment here if it does)
2)Download the attached file into the phone.
3)You can search the Miforum or xda to flash the proper version of the TWRP recovery for Redmi 2.
4)After successfully flashing TWRP go to Recovery using Vol up+power button and then selecting Recovery
5)Inside the recovery go to install and select the path where you have downloaded the attached file.
6)Install the zip(It will take about 1-2 minutes)...CONGRATS...Your device is successfully rooted...!!Enjoy Root access...
**If you are prompted to update the binary update it...Select TWRP/CWM method when prompted...
Sometimes it may happen that you dont get root access with this method...For this you have to factory reset your phone and again reinstall the MIUI7 rom via recovery flashable zip...You can search the MIUI forums for the same...
P.S:The TWRP can be used to install weekly OTA updates as well so no need to care for the Stock recovery even after you flash the TWRP recovery.Although after the OTA update your device will go back to stock Mi recovery but you can reflash twrp using Flashify app if you need it...(Available on the store)
***"I am NOT RESPONSIBLE if doing this Bricks your phone or causes any other type of harm...I am sharing something that I found while experimenting..!!"***
I used MIUI 7 ver.5.8.22 and ver 5.8.28 during this process..!!
If it works please credit me!!Thanks...!!
Good one.
Do you really think you need to write this this partial guide here?
I mean there is lot (on XDA) guide where you can find a complete guide.
Keep things easy.

Whixh twrp should i flash?

Ive unlocked bootloader and the latest twrp is twrp-3.0.2-0-yuga.img . Should I use this img? Will it be ok or would I have to use an older version. Any replies would be appreciated.
I also have a question about the flashing process. Previously the only other phone I have flashed is my Oneplus X. The method on there is fastboot flash recovery <filename.img> . Can I use the same command for the xperia becuase in the tutorials i've seen and read none of them use that.
I should note that i'm on Model C6603, Android 5.1.1
wich one? simple
use the latest one
and here is the twrp flashing method for xperia z

Unable to root on latest firmware N910TUVU2EQC1

Tried to reroot with latest firmware N910TUVU2EQC1. Supersu fails to flash during the boot image patcher portion.
Method I did so far:
1. Update firmware via smart switch. I originally tried to flash via downloaded link but it didn't work so I tried the firmware officially from samsung via smart switch thinking there might have been a bad download link.
2. Odin flash twrp 3.0.2
3. Reboot
4. Try to flash supersu 2.79 va Twrp.
5. Fails during installation process, specifically during the boot image patcher. Tried wiping calche/davik, etc first. Still can't get root.

What about try to flash this room probably it will work https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...rom-n910t3uvu3eqc1-stock-rooted-odex-t3592242. its a stock rooted rom.
I hope you don't have a bad memory problem as many people does. good luck
I was able to flash superSU finally after doing a complete factory wipe and firmware update via smart switch. I deleted some factory installed apps on the last firmware which probably caused some kind of issues when I upgraded to the latest firmware.
On another note, I have the DRK failed to verify message, I have had it since I have had the phone. Any suggestions to fix this? I just did a factory restore via smart switch so I know that doesn't fix it.

Unable to update to MIUI 9

Hello guys.
I've just tried to update to MIUI 9.0.1.0 NDDMIEI from MIUI 8.5.9.0 NDDMIED on device Xiaomi Mi Max 2 but it failed.
I have an unlocked bootloader and SuperSu installed, but the recovery is Mi Stock Recovery. :cyclops:
I had directly booted TWRP Recovery without flashing using
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
to flash SuperSu on device. :good:
Need support with this issue. I don't want to flash whole ROM every time I recieve an update.

i successfully flashed to miui v9(V9.0.1.0.NDDMIEI) over miui v8(V8.5.8.0.NDDMIED) without data wipe. all my data were intact
Keep a backup just in case
make sure you downloaded recovery flashable full rom package ~1.38GB (not the 500mb OTA update )
donot wipe data/cache/dalvik
flash via TWRP recovery
just flashing rom wont boot due to dm-verity. (result will be bootloop)
u need to flash super user or magisk (or lazy flasher "ive not tried though" ) which patches boot.img which makes rom bootable

I'll give it a try. Currently I have data wiped and installed full ROM through fastboot method. So next time, for sure I'll give it a shot.
But I have a doubt, where TWRP be able to flash an MIUI ROM. I mean the bootloader unlocked, encrypted system partition and all.
Since you have your device rooted, first install flashify, and backup your stock recovery. Then you can flash twrp recovery and install Miui 9, and root the device again. Last, install flashify again and restore your stock recovery.

Can you give stock recovery from mi max 2? I forgot to back up his original recovery stock and was hit with twrp.
