[LG H870] Korean Oreo port [WiFi working] [Stable] - LG G6 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Developme

I've got the stock Oreo for H870 now in a state where it doesn't crashs the whole time and most things are working. Fingerprint reader won't recognize your Finger, and USB Debugging isn't working, any other things are working although. The rom is now suited for being a daily driver (Fixed WiFi 3/05/18)
If you could get some logs, that would be extre helpful, so we (EvilHowl, J0sh1x and me) can turn this rom flawless.
Here the rom to download: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=890278863836283338
How to Install:
Its like any other rom:
Format Data (With the option where you have to type yes)
Wipe System
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Flash the Zip File (Oreo_r8.zip)
At the First boot:
- To change language you tap on the first bar
- Setup with Internet, everytime I setupped without Internet connection it caused me a bootloop (In this case Format Data, and reboot to system)
- Don't try to turn on WiFi, this should be fixed in the Rom, but it can cause bootloops if you turn it on
- Don't Download the Bloat apps, they will mostly be in korean
- Some texts can still be korean, just reboot your device
Extra Notes:
The Google Playstore will need some time to search, but it works normally.
If you keep rebooting into TWRP you need to completly power off your Phone (Hold Volume Down and Power button) and get into TWRP with the button combo, and then reboot to system
If you keep having Issues, come to our Telegram Group for better support: https://t.me/joinchat/DpmOZERW3-oD8x9l3jXGxA
It's better to install Gapps the Pico variant so you have a normal loading Playstore (take arm64 8.0.0)
For MTP to work, you must have atleast opened the File Manager once
You can turn Data on/off in the Settings, not in the Quick Settings
The bars on Data aren't accurate

How can i have the data mobile toggle? I have the "roaming" toggle..no data mobile

Okay so I installed it yesterday, (on my H870) the ROM works very fluid, had no fc, overal performance great. Daily driver worthy.
Only issue I got was that the rom said my sd card was corrupted and should format it. Any one else got this problem?
Anyway, big thanks to the devs who make it possible to get it working on the H870, keep up the great work ??

Hi,
have you included this https://github.com/SoloProject/plat...mmit/cf3bdc97e269ecef08e2778ad25d24fece2ab99f for enable doze in your rom? By default, doze is disabled and nexus 4 has significant motion sensor.

Fantastic! Finally we've got a rom of our very own, for which you've got my immense thanks. I'm very much looking forward to trying it out.
Unfortunately when I flashed it there was a loooong wait on the Samsung logo, and then... Well, after an hour I booted back to recovery to start over.
I honestly don't think your rom was the problem though, because from some point last night everything I tried - custom rom flashing and nandroid backup restores - wound up the same way. Odin + stock + root got a usable system at least, and today's been too busy to try again. But when I do I'll post back about how it goes.
(Sadly, I can't go back in time to see what order I did things and look for a pattern if this happens again. In case it might be useful to anyone, I know for sure I'd gotten stock set up comfortably and made a complete backup before giving thunderoar's T113 kernel a whirl, and that went swimmingly. Even had mounts2sd properly recognizing external sd set up after a long struggle, though not actually enabled yet. Don't know what else i did between making that backup and trying to flash this, but it's likely I just screwed something up somehow.)

Thanks so much for responding even though I didn't specifically ask.

When you install a rom, especially a TW one, in most case you need a specific Bootloader to cause it to start and work smoothly.
Wikipedia:
A boot loader is a computer program that loads an operating system or some other system software for the computer after completion of the power-on self-tests; it is the loader for the operating system itself. Within the hard reboot process, it runs after completion of the self-tests, then loads and runs the software. A boot loader is loaded into main memory from persistent memory, such as a hard disk drive or, in some older computers, from a medium such as punched cards, punched tape, or magnetic tape. The boot loader then loads and executes the processes that finalize the boot. Like POST processes, the boot loader code comes from a "hard-wired" and persistent location; if that location is too limited for some reason, that primary boot loader calls a second-stage boot loader or a secondary program loader.
The bootloader runs your rom with specific instructions, if the rom does not support an older bootloader simply does not boot. My rom does not support the older bootloader. A zip flash in this case cannot upgrade a delicate part like the bootloader. You need to flash the newer one with Odin.

The latest update for your country is PA5. Try with THIS.
Your country code is XAC.
The CSC (Sale Country Code) Is that part of the firmware that contains all the telephone operator customizations (e.g. WAP, MMS) for the intended country. As far as i know, It is not important for us.

Life has gotten in the way of playing around with this, but thought I'd send you an update as I said I would...
Your rom is running really nicely on my tablet as I use it daily. It's smooth and small, with no unexpected reboots or fc's on installed apps. Didn't wipe internal SD but it hasn't given me any issues with existing data (probably because there wasn't much to start with).
One thing that has caused a problem is calendar sync. It looks like you've taken out the actual syncing service, so when I try to access my calendars through any app I'm asked to add a new Google account, even though everything's already set up in "Accounts" under Settings. I haven't tried running the "calendars.providers.apk" from my other phone, that should fix the problem - but I don't want to use the wrong version and break something!
Also, I've confirmed that the only time I got mounts2sd working, it was with thunderoar's kernel. So guess that's going to have to wait.
A few adjustments I made to the setup were to uninstall all "unnecessary" system apps (not needed to run the device), and re-install them from the store. This way I've got 676mb free on /system and still over 1.5GB free on internal storage.
I've also added a multi-reboot menu to make getting into recovery or download mode simpler, and this is loading more quickly on your rom than stock. I've also had to modify permissions.xml to allow apps to access external storage by default, and made another tweak to disable the "loud volume warning" (don't remember quite what it was offhand).
Would you consider adding these to a future version?
Again, thanks SO much for putting this together, answering questions, and doing your thing. It's greatly appreciated!

One more question about this: The way you've worded the second paragraph seems to imply only that older bootloaders don't work with newer roms, so are newer bootloaders backwards compatible? Say I've got the PH5 bootloader installed and I want to restore a backup of the previous firmware, do I have to flash that firmware first?
Sorry if it seems obvious, this is how we learn!

Absolutely it isn't obvious, don't worry . The Bootloader, for my personal experience, are backwards compatible. I don't have a scientific knowledge about this, but for what I did with other device it can work. Just try :fingers-crossed:, don't forget a full backup.

This is a huge help, as one reason for getting this tablet was to use the calendar on a bigger screen.... Thanks so much!

T113/T113nu and T116/T116ny have a similar codename and hardware (The recovery have goyave codename, therefore any rom with goyave codename can be flashed). For the hotspot, maybe some missing libraries, a different driver or a different kernel makes hotspot broken. Try to restore your kernel from a previous backup.

[ROM][7.1.2]LineageOS 14.1[OFFICIAL][Suzuran]

DISCLAIMER:
I am not an official maintainer or developer, I have made this thread so we can discuss the builds and possibly have some way of communicating with actual developers who are working on builds for our device.
I am also not responsible for anything that you might chose to do or not do to your personal device, nor am I responsible for anything that happens to it because of decisions you have made.
HOW TO INSTALL:
Install latest stock firmware
Flash TWRP
Wipe Data - System - Dalvik and Cache
Flash latest LineageOS & GApps
FAQ:
Are the official builds stable enough for daily use?
Yes.
Does the camera work?
Yes.
How is the picture quality?
As close to stock as it will ever get without the proprietary Sony algorithms that we will never get anyway. Personally I can't tell the difference between stock and this.
When will we get Oreo builds?
I doubt anyone knows, but constantly asking for it won't bring it faster.
WHAT'S NOT WORKING?
NOTE: Please do not report bugs you encounter after dirty flashing. Try doing a clean flash and recreating the issue first.
Issues with encryption.

Another bugs? Is good for daily use?
Good to see, when a new Person support this phone.
Dear maintainer,
I'm using the latest build (lineage-14.1-20180318-nightly-suzuran-signed.zip). After phone encryption I can't decrypt the /data partition when using TWRP (3.2.1-0). Password is correct but it keeps printing:
Code:
Faild to decrypt data
Password failed, please try again!
This makes updating the device complicated. I'm using adb sideload to transfer updates to the phone when flashing with TWRP. Mounting external micro SD-card (/sdcard1 | Micro SD card) is also not possible. When you select in TWRP: "Mount -> Micro SD card" it's not possible to mount the external card.
Any ideas?
Problems
In total the LineageOS 14.1 works fine - I work with the lastest release lineage-14.1-20180318.
Problems:
1. TWRP can not decrypt the data partition.
2. With encrypted data partition, my mobile phone does not work under LineageOS.
3. All actions in the GUI of LineageOS to be subsequently executed under TWRP (like Factory Reset and LineageOS Update) show no reaction, i.e. do not do anything. LineageOS does nothing, TWRP is not started and nothing is executed. Except that the LineageOS Updater reports "error".
4. My hotspot under LineageOS has connection problems, but WLAN is working fine.
I think the first problem is a TWRP problem - the rest are LineageOS problems.
All problems remained unchanged without and with Factory Reset, as well as with LineageOS reinstallation (with full wipe Boot, Cache, Data and System partition) without and with Factory Reset.

Ok great but the download link doesn't work.

Great thanks it's working now..
It doesn't looks like we have the same version of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. On my European SM-P910; I already tried both of you roms and it's always a boot loop. I tried different version of the stock rom before flash (XAR) and with blank vbmeta.tar with factory reset or/and cache but it never works for me. Like the other guy for the AOSP I go back to stock.
S Pen Functionality
Hello,
I'm new so please bear with me for this question. Do S Pen functions remain after installing lineageos? I got the device yesterday and I find it to be not as snappy as I'd like.

You guyz are lucky. There's no development for Tab s6.
Can you make a microg version?
Greetings!
I successfully managed to install the lineage rom on my SM-P610. Initially i faced infinite boot-loop even after doing a factory reset in the recovery. After some experiments, i made it work. Heres what is did to get it work.
1. First, unlock and root your device. Use the method mentioned in the other xda thread. It works.
2. Keep your rooted boot.img safe.
3. Download the lineage os tar from the thread.
4. Using 7-zip, open the tar package and delete the included boot.img fiile,
5. Replace the boot.img with the rooted boot.img obtained from the first step.
6. Flash the modded lineage package with Odin 3.14.1-3b patched under AP (do not check the re-partition in ODIN).
7. After reboot, boot into recovery and do a factory reset.
8. After a couple of reboots, Lineage logo should appear
Will write what works and what doesn't in my next post.
Thanks to @Awesomeslayerg for porting Lineage OS and AOSP to Tab s6 lite. It is really good to see a snappy lineage ROM for the device. Good Work! :highfive:
Here is the list what works and what doesn't.
The ROM is comparatively faster and snappy although the Geekbench results are identical with the stock rom. The reboot time is at par with the stock and the rom is stable. No random reboots or app crashes whatsoever.
Here are the stuff that works
Spen with pressure sensitivity works. Checked with Penup and bamboo paper app.
Can use SD card as primary storage but it is quite buggy. The apps on the SD card always crashes.
Battery backup is way better compared to stock.
Widevine is L1. Netflix HD content playback works.
Dual stereo speakers works.
Double tap to wake works as well
Comes with minimal gapps
All Bluetooth accessories work.
cts profile verification in magisk is "true".
Here is what doesn't work (or might be buggy).
The mouse pointer rather than the dot on the screen. Not sure whether there is a workaround
Magnetic flip cover doesn't work
GPS doesn't seem to work.
Cannot format SD card and use it as a portable media. upon formatting, it always shows "corrupted".
Camera is basic.
Hope you will find this info helpful.

Thanks alot will add this to the list
Thanks again to @Awesomeslayerg for making this rom. Here is a couple of points from my experience.
I flashed from linux using heimdall, which may be why my experience was different than @gauthamrgramalingam.
To flash I just followed the directions and, unlocked the bootloader, went to download mode a flashed. I didn't need to do all the extra steps that @gauthamrgramalingam listed. I did have to factory reset 2 times though, once from the bootloader and once from in lineage. Here are the things I've noticed:
1. Wifi doesn't seem to be working on 5g and seems to have some disconnects, also seems like I can't connect on lower bands of 2.4g, like channel 1.
2. GPS works great for me, no issues
3. Screen brightness, this is hard to confirm, but it at least SEEMS dimmer than stock firmware. I tried adjusting with the treble settings but that didn't seem to do anything.
4. netflix doesn't play videos for me at all. in info, it does show wildvine L1 or w/e and says it'll play HD but when I play a video I just get a generic error and it never plays. I've reset and reinstalled netflix to no avail.
5. SD card is weird, if I format it as portable, I run into the same issues that have been discussed, however if I format it as "phone storage" it seems to work somewhat. Can't seem to move apps to it, but I can put other files on it. Not sure whats going on.
Anyways, thanks again, I thought i would give my feedback to see if it helps.

I forgot to ask, does this have root? because I was trying to do some debugging on the issues but I can't seem to get a root shell in adb.
Messing with it more, couple updates:
1. wifi 5g confirmed working.
2. netflix still not working at least for me.
Magnetic cover, might be due to SELINUX. I see this in the adb debug:
kworker/5:2: type=1400 audit(0.0:2321): avc: denied { open } for path="/sys/devices/virtual/sec/sec_key/hall_detect" dev="sysfs" ino=45321 scontext=u:r:kernel:s0 tcontext=ubject_r:sysfs:s0 tclass=file permissive=0
the magnetic cover might use the hall sensor, but not sure. There is another sensor that is getting AVC denied as well. Worth a look.

[ROM][10.0][Xiaomi Mi 9][UNOFFICIAL]LineageOS 17.1 CLEAN, STOCK + Signature Spoofing [2021-01-21]

** Standard Disclaimer: Unlocking your Bootloader will Void your Warranty. I take no responsibility for this or for any bricked devices. These thing should go without saying at this point, but there they are. If you are here, I assume you are familiar with LineageOS, TWRP, and moving from MIUI to AOSP-based ROMs**
I've built a clean version of LineageOS 17.1 for Mi 9 that includes Signature Spoofing, but no other modifications.
This will allow those who are interested to get full MicroG support without the need of using any sort of Patcher or Magisk/XPosed Module. YOu all may have used my previous LineageOS Clean,Stock ROM and this is just an updated build of that ROM + Signature Spoofing to make life easier for those who want MicroG.
I flashed this and followed the simple steps of installing F-Droid, adding the MicroG Repo, and Installing the necessary packages via F-Droid and confirmed MicroG Self-check passes all the tests (once you finish granting the necessary permissions for each).
I prefer this over the NanoDroid or other patching methods as a much cleaner way to use MicroG with LineageOS.
Proprietary Blobs/Device Tree are DRG-Developer's as referenced in their post: here
Kernel source is by DRG-Developer: here
Xiaomi Hardware package used is the primary LineageOS from their github here
My reason for this is that there does not seem to be an officially-supported build for our device on the LineageOS for MicroG project or a recent, unofficial build.
What Works:
Pretty much everything from what I can tell
Fingerprint Sensor it working like a champ so far.
DT2W/DT2S
NFC Seems to be working but I don't have a device to test against
Known Issues:
You tell me...
Download:
849.98 MB file on MEGA
mega.nz
Prerequisite:
Make sure you are running a current AOSP/MIUI ROM with the latest firmware flashed and TWRP Installed
Install:
From TWRP:
1) Wipe Date (standard wipe)
2) Format Date ---> 'yes'
3) push ROM zip to /sdcard/
4) Flash ROM zip
4b) - OPTIONAL - Flash Magisk Zip for Root
5) Reboot to system
If you want to to install MicroG, just follow the steps outlined here in the "Install" section to get F-Droid installed, add the MicroG Repo, and install the handful of apps needed. No need for any of the patching steps.
DRG-Developer's device trees were last updated on 2020-10-18 so expect this build to reflect that. So far everything seems to function very well.
Does it support GApps too or it's only for MicroG?
Edit:
I test it and It's working well with GApps
Thanks for your build.

I missed `Internet Band-with Speed indicator` and `three finger swipe screen shot gesture` that I think these features are not available in LineageOS.

Hi,
I've just unlocked my device and flashed Mauronofrio's TWRP afer that, i've installed this rom. And everytime it seems to be bootlooping. Showing the MI logo and after that it turns off and goes back to the Mi logo again. I've tried flashing it a few times, wiping data / system ETC. At the moment I'm restoring it with flashtool to get it back working. But am I doing something wrong?

Did you wipe data AND "Format" Data? When you Format data is asks you to confirm by typing "yes" in the TWRP Recovery. Try Wiping and Formatting data, then push the ROM to the phone and Flash.
Ah that was probably it. ADB Sideload wasn't co-operating so i've flashed the rom first and after that wiped + formatted the data. Thanks! I've just restored the phone but will try this later again.

No, you have to double-tap to wake or hit the power button to wake the screen before you can use the fingerprint scanner.

After installing, did you Install F-Droid and enable the Magisk repositories to install the necessary Magisk Modules and Location Backends? Then in the MicroG settings ensure all the checkboxes are checked?
Thanks for making this ROM. Really appreciate it.
The only small issue I am noticing is that my finance apps (example: banking apps, stock trading apps) popup an alert saying that my device is rooted (even though it is not) and this could be a security risk. The apps do still function but its a bit annoying to see this alert every time I launch the app.
Is this because the ROM has been signed with public keys? This alert does not appear when I used the iode OS ROM for Mi 9 or when I use the official Lineage OS for MicroG ROM on my Mi 8.

I'm not sure. It could be the Signature Spoofing aspect. I don't think iode has that and I know stock LIneage does not.
