Hi guys,
I've been trying to search how to change the notification sound on my P20 Pro for SMS. it seems that it just doesn't allow it. It has this funky ugly sound which irritates me quite frankly.
- I know I can use other sms apps bit I prefer android messages
- P20 Pro has the android sms installed as the system sms app, my oneplus 5T had no issues when I installed it from the app store.

I've got a Huawei P9 running Android 6.0 EMUI 4.1.1
Having switched from iPhone I was delighted to discover that EMUI supports notification badges for unread messages, missed calls etc. unlike stock Android.
Unfortunately on my phone these work only for WhatsApp, all others including dialer and messaging don't show badges.
I verified that badges are enabled for all supported apps in Home Screen->More Settings->Badge App Icons
Any help appreciated!

Solved: just needed to allow Huawei Home app to manage calls messages etc.
i have buy p20 pro and the firmware i have is 128 a have a little problem i use facebook messanger for fasebook message and sms when some one send me sms i can see but when i close and open again the app the sms is disappear
any have this problem?
I have problem with my new P30 pro due a lot work during business hours I get sms text on my phone that I miss sometimes and they can be very important! So on my old phone was set up to remind me every 2 min that I have unread sms text with sound and it helped me. Now on this new phone P30 pro I can't find that setting to set it up on phone and I tired applications/apps on google play and nothing works.

I didn't see it in the native text app. I have downloaded Textra and have been really happy with it. It allows me to setup reminders like this, and they work well. I can even setup different reminder frequencies with different contacts, which has helped me avoid missing something from the wife.

I have now the p40 pro since 10 days.
At first I installed the Google services successfully.
But now I use Snapchat, Gmx and other Apps but I never receive any Notification.
I have already checked the background activity and energy usage settings there is everything normal.
Can any one face the issue too?
Or does somebody know how to set this right?

You are in the wrong forum, you need the P40 Pro, this is the P40 Pro+.
Just bought the Redmi 9T 64 (M2010J19SG) The main whatsapp has no issues - but the secondary install Whatsapp Business does not play notifications sound (just the icon indicator). Third whatsapp, installed inside the Parallels Pro has the same problem - plus it show no reaction to whatsapp call if the phone is locked. Business show it. I gave all of them all the possible permissions. And i feel there is something i missed.
