As the title says, Android System is reported to be consuming a huge chunk of battery for no rhyme or reason. Also, "Google" is said to be consuming a lot of battery too according to a notification that shows up now and then.
I'm running theOne3TOS w/ Magisk and Systemless Xposed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry that I didn't take a screenshot of the charging graph. And yes, I'm rooted w/ Magisk on theOne3TOS w/ Franco Kernel r40. The only additional mod I have installed is V4A and that has never caused me any issues.

So do this.
Install Betterbatterystats from XDA.
Run it once to make sure it works fine.
Charge your phone to 90+%
Use it normally till 40%
Upload here charging graph from your battery page and the Alarms/Summary tabs from Betterbatterystats.

Battery drain 6.0.1 custom ROM

I need your help. I have problems with my N910T, it makes dias Dr Ketan install the rom rom based on 6.0.1, I did as I was in 5.1.1, turn off my Note all night and the next day had dropped about 20% load. Install another rom, with OvrDriVE and I also did the same. Now I install official 6.0.1 rom stock, I proceed to install NobleRom V3 which is very good rom and also reoccurs me the same battery drain while my note is off all night. Thanks in advance for your opinions and suggestions.

how to get xposed & better SoT?

Hello fellow XDA's,
I'm on latest 253 UB rooted running zach's kernel and nagasaki rom. I wanna ask how to get xposed or systemless xposed on my E6533? Also any hints on tweaks to get heat issue lower and better SoT? I get around 2 hours with regular usage and some 30 minutes or less light gaming.
Thanks

To install xposed flash this http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk23/arm64/xposed-v86-sdk23-arm64.zip
and install this http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3383776&d=1435601440.
And I join to the question about increasing SoT of our phones too. I have 4-5 hours SoT. Anybody has better battery life?

One of my attempts to solve, was to install a custom kernel.
It did not solve everything, but it helped.
Hi.
Installing custom kernel will not solved everything.
U should install Better Battery Stats to find out misbehaving apps which may have drain yr battery.

Best marshmallow ROM for battery life?

I feel like I should be able to find this easily on my own but I'm having more trouble than I anticipated. I've been trying tons of note 7 Roms with no luck battery life wise. At this point I'm looking for any type of ROM that has great duration as long as it's marshmallow.

xposed pretty much works with odexed marshmallow stock firmware you dont need deodexed roms.
On lollipop required deodexed roms for xposed.
I am on stock pk2 n910t latest firmware and xposed works without any issues.

Okay one last question. I think the reason I changed from stock a while back was because I needed to use viper4android and it required permissive kernel. Can stock be made permissive?

Yes you can flash on stock any permissive kernel like beastmode r56 or ram kernel v4 for viper4android.but permissive kernel will brake private mode i am on stock kernel and private mode works fine.

Could you please post me the link DeOxed stock rom you're using? And what do you use in xposed?
I had OvrDrive rom and horrible SOT 3hrs
And what baseband should I have? EPG2 causes battery calibration issues and there is no fix yet. Could you suggest some BB too?

I am on Pk2 latest bl\modem i am using stock official firmware but i am rooted with twrp and xposed works just fine on stock rom.i am not using any deodexed rom.
I uninstalled as many built in apps as possible and i got 5hours SOT.
SOT depends on your usage i am always on wifi if i use mobile data the dafinetly i will get less SOT.
brightness always less then 25℅,black wallpaper for homescreen and lockscreen to save GPU energy.
While my device in pocket i always turn on powersaving mode to make cpu deep sleep and hibernate apps by greenify.
By this steps you will get preety good battery life.

Yep absolutely.
You have 2 choices
1st choice ,if you want stock 4.4.4 kitkat then flash N910T2 firmware in odin and do wipe data factory reset after flash .you will be on stock kitkat 100%.
2nd choice, if you want rooted roms like dynamic kat or firekat then you have to flash 5.1.1 OK1 firmware then flash twrp recovery after that from twrp flash any kitkat rom you wish but must flash nadia kernel with kitkat rom otherwise you may stuck on samsung logo because you are on lollipop bl/modem.
Nadia Kernel 4.4.4 is in link below.
https://mega.nz/#!accnkb6B!f_wdM79WXZ2UYy2El87DXYctihB40MBjV4imBKlhoDo
I will not recommend youto go back to kitkat because many apps and games required 5.0 or higher these days kitkat is almost dead but if you will use as basic phone chatting, media etc then its fine.i just noticed that even youtube does not support 1440p/1080p videos on kitkat and there is no option to change quality.
after all its your device and do as you wish i am here to help.
N910T2 stock nonrooted firmware link below
Extract and flash in odin.

So I grabbed a stock deodexed marshmallow ROM for a week or two and it is surprisingly by far the worst battery life I've ever had heh. I get like 1.5 hrs sot and I have to recharge almost twice a day.
Are there any suggestions? Both for other Roms or for fixing a stock ROM battery life?
Go back to 4.4.4. I get 7+ hours SOT. I never went to MM as I bought a 6P last Feb. I'm getting my Note 4 ready for my mom as shes moving to T-Mobile. After reading a bunch the last day or so it sounds like to much BS going on with any updates above 4.4.4. I remember 5.0 and 5.0.1 were destroying battery life which is why I never updated and 6.01 sounds like to much of a strain or wast optimized properly for the Note 4.
It works like this
Kitkat best battery life but a little choppy and some apps dont work because it to old
Lolopop 5.1.1 (not 5.0.1) is very smoth and has good battery life, but not as good as kitkat.
Marshmelow is the smoothest but has horrible battery life no matter the rom or what you do.
I tried absolutely everything and come to the conclusión that stock 5.1.1. With root + greenify y by far the option. Everything works great and i have about 5 hours sot without having to compromise anything.
I am alzó trying an app that puts the phone in 1080 but still dont know if it makes a diference or not. (ir runs cooler)

[Closed] [Fix] [Custom Roms] [Santoni] Temporary Fix for Standby battery drain of cus

Thread closed due to maintain issue.
Use MIUI for better battery backup, your can use f2fs with Gabriel kernel in MIUI too.
Edit Feb 13, use these in build.prop, best for power saving at standby mode:
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0
pm.sleep_mode=1
Important notice:
If you have android assistant, close all background apps and check the CPU graph in the android assistant app. Wait for the cool down of CPUs. Then move your phone(like waving). You can see CPU starts at 2-3 sometimes 5 percent. In miui, I didn't have such CPU uses while moving my phone. I think this is also a cause of idle battery drain(sensors drain). Please all Devs, look at that problem even if you don't have that problem. Some users are facing this issue(or all?).
...
Hi. I've experienced serious battery drain on both Resurrection Remix, latest build of Nik001 and Luis Build with stock and custom kernel- Clarity. Many of us also experiencing this issue. It drains 5-7 percent per 7-8 hours to me. Using Greenify, Amplify caused me more battery drain! Now, I had found some fixes, but now problem appears like strangers. I don't know which fix solved my battery drain problem. Just test and you may find yours.
If you are having same problem like me, you can try and if doesn't work for you, I'm not responsible. Try these fix with no battery saving app(like greenify), and disabling the D2W. I've not tested with d2w enabled...
Method 1(settings restores automatically, I don't know why):
Doze Setting Editor thread-
[url]https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/root-doze-settings-editor-android-t3235130[/URL]
Just set a profile from the app within and save...
Edit: Note: After a reboot, you have to set the settings again...
Method 2:
Go back to original kernel, just flash boot.img in TWRP extracting from the ROM. Don't forget to install Magisk again if you are using it.
Use Naptime for better doze improvement...
Playstore link
Method 3:
Flash other firmwares. First use the latest build, if battery drain continues in idle mode, flash previous builds, you can try stable ROMs firmwares.
Method 4:
Install other kernels(you can use Gabriel's). It seems much stable in standby mode, with some more features, tested. But same battery drain(though 1 percent less than previous .)
Kernel Thread
On Oreo, you can use LH Kernel or if you have issues, then use Anonymous 3.0(this is not available in XDA).
Method 5:
Clean cache of all apps through titanium backup. Avoid restoring app+data through titanium backup.
Method 6:
Flash other ROMs.
Others:
Copy these in build.prop. I don't know if they are needed. I took it from a website(thanks to him).
#Hardware_Power_Saving
ro.config.hw_power_saving=true
#Sensor_Sleep_Control
ro.ril.sensor.sleep.control=1

Got this issue. I first tried pixel experience (Oreo) and the battery performance was terrible. Then RR (Oreo), same result. In airplane mode the drain was about 2%/hour.
I finally tried DotOs on Nougat base and work as aspected, with battery drain in idle near to 1%/night. The issue seems oreo-related but I don't understand why some device has it and other not.

I've tried RR Oreo and AICP Oreo. Same bug to me. I noticed that CPU ramps up continuously after 5/7 seconds and it never stops. Developer doesn't listen to me or he knows the bug and ignores me. There's no solution I've found yet

Yes. I miss xMIUI, the development is not forwarded. We should pray to have an Oreo MIUI for our device.
Battery drain for me is not that high on pixel experience all though it is still teribble compared to MIUI. I tried using clarity kernel + firmware 32 + Universal Doze in magisk. MIUI is good at battery but terrible at customization. Can anyone recommend another custom ROM that has almost stock battery performance?

While I was using RR, I used firmware 32_PA and 33.
Stock kernel was/is based on Clarity. But even without modifications, everything was fine to me.
Now I'm on MIUI, using firmware 35 with Gabriel kernel. So can't tell much about RR.
