Get the Android P nav bar gestures using Fling - Moto G5 Plus Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hi everybody. For this tutorial you only need a custom ROM with fling nav bar option to navigate. I use FrankenROM but can work in every custom ROM with Fling implemented.
1-Go to navigation bar configuration in the settings menu and set fling like your navbar.
2-Open fling settings and set the follow configuration (or set like you want):
Swipe gestures
-Right short: last application.
-Left short: back (can't be changed)
-Right long: recent apps
-Left long: without action
-Right side Up: Nova Launcher: app box (optional)
-Left side up: without action
Tap gesture
-Tap right: without action
-Tap left: home (can't be changed)
-Double right: without action
-Double left: without action
-Long press right: Google Assistant
-Long press left: Google Assistant
In appearance you can set the pill icon that I leave in the attachment files. Only set it in custom logo image.
And it's done, now you can enjoy the new Android navbar gestures without install nothing and very customisable.

Thanks Dude
Cool Guide!

Pie?
If yes, then why do you need it? All pie ROMs already have navbar gestures.

Got it

Show/hide a widget with a swipe gesture

Hello all,
For a theme that I'm working on, I would like to trigger a widget (UCCW and DVR) by using a swipe action from the side. Also, I would like to specify a certain hotspot where that swipe gesture triggers the widget and a second swipe should hide it again.
I think it would be to much to ask for to have the way the widget appears to be animated.
I have already tried SwipeStart from the Play store but that does not have lot of customization and isn't very fluid.
Is there a way to accomplish this?
Thank you in advance

Can you add an option to keep the navigation bar enabled on desktop and application drawer. I mean only the apps go for this semi immersive mode keeping the desktop and drawer with the navigation bar. Because apps would look awesome in this semi immersive mode which is not so much important on desktop and drawer, especially with kitkat, which has transparent navigation bar. Thanks

[HOW-TO] Play games in full screen on the fly with expanded desktop + pie controls

If you're anything like me, you love the nav bar but HATE it when you're gaming. Well I just stumbled across a solution that made me the happiest person in the world. In this guide I will show you how to add a toggle to your quicksettings that will hide the navbar and give you pie controls on demand for full screen gaming or whenever you just want to ditch the navbar easily.
This method requires root, Xposed framework + GravityBox.
*I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU SCREW UP YOUR PHONE*
If you haven't already, download + install Xposed Framework.
Refer to this thread for framework + install instructions- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Download + install GravityBox and enable it in the Xposed Installer.
Get it here- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2554049
Open GravityBox and go to Display tweaks. Enable Expanded desktop mode and set it to hide navigation bar (you can set it to hide the status bar as well if you like but this is not necessary to go full screen for gaming)
Go to Statusbar tweaks and hit Pie controls. Enable pie controls with the "when expanded desktop is on" setting. Now click Trigger positions and check the bottom and right border options. It would be wise to also shrink the trigger size down, so you don't accidentally hit it. I have mine set at 2px and you basically need to swipe in from the edge to bring up the pie.
Also in Statusbar tweaks, go to QuickSettings management and then Statusbar Quicksettings tiles. Select/deselect whatever tiles you want or don't want, just make sure that Expanded Desktop is selected.
if you enable the advanced reboot menu (power tweaks), you can toggle expanded desktop from there as well
Reboot your phone
Once this is all done, you can pull down your quicksettings shade and just hit the Expanded desktop toggle and your navbar will magically disappear and get replaced with pie controls. When done gaming, hit the toggle again and your navbar will reappear.
Bump for all the gamers!
I came from a Galaxy S4 so the perk there was enjoying the 5" screen without any on-screen buttons. Using your method I managed to hide the navbar completely and use pie.
Only differences I made is that PIE controls are active at all times and I changed the navbar height to 0 to completely hide it

Yeah I tried going the always PIE route and it got annoying after awhile. I like the navbar when just using the phone for normal stuff like browsing, but hate it when I'm playing a game. I had it shrunk to 30% when in landscape and that worked great for me up until I figured this out. This essentially gives us our own immersive mode that works on everything. Did this on my Moto X too.
Awesome! Was getting a bit fed up with the bar lurking at the side of the screen there.

+1 bug:
in the light theme (as I love it so much) when I am turning the screen off I can't unlock it by double tapping but only one time since locking. After getting a notification or manually turning the screen on it starts to work as it should.
+1 bug:
backlight of the buttons is not working.
In call volume bug is solved in it or still exist?

Hi, below are the observations after installing the rom.
Double tap to wake working out of the box.
VOLTE icon comes back on status bar which was missing in Pixel experience.
Hardware navigation buttons not getting backlit.
Mentioned extended features in OP are not fully visible in personalization > extra settings.
Meme UI in Device theme getting crash.
Guys theme crashes and backlight is all source issue since its not happening in any roms..so extended team need to fix for themes and all this

Hello, I've done and re-edited several times, and here's still the same problem. A friend works, but mine is not going to work! When selecting DARK or Black, the background of the applications is in WHITE, and the White letters too, making it impossible to read the names of the applications, according to photos.

Question How to force-hide the 3 button navigation bar? [Solved - temp workaround]

Hey Guys,
How do you hide the 3 button navigation bar in the home screen / app drawer - bottom ?
I have Nova Launcher, So I installed FNG (Fluid Navigation Gestures) to get the gestures, But Im unable to hide the Navigation bar now.
Any ideas ?
Alright, Figured the answer.
Go to settings, Search for gestures and enable it.
This works till a device reboot.
FNG doesn't work for me
