Note 5 N920G Stuck at Samsung logo - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm in a weird situation, I flashed the latest stock firmware for my phone (N920GDDS4CRD2_N920GODD3CQJ2_N920GUBU4CRA1_HOME.tar) through odin and now it is stuck. Then I went to download mode again to flash twrp just to try to wipe cache and stuff to get it working, no luck as it wouldn't boot into recovery. Then I tried flashing the same firmware through odin again but I get an error (sw rev. check failed), I know why I am getting this. its because the phone doesn't allow downgrading and the firmware that I am trying to flash is the latest one. Any help would be appreciated.

Check last twrp installed. Next try flash any custom rom.zip

odin fails at sboot.bin

i am trying to install optimalrom. my device is on 5.0.2, rooted with twrp installed. when trying to flash the firmware package that comes with the rom, odin always fails at flashing sboot. any ideas what is happening? I have to reflash twrp to boot the device again
Need more info, what region is your device, model etc.
You probably need a different firmware.

Its an australian 710. Root and recovery install worked fine, but before flashing the rom in recovery there is a firmware package for odin with i think a 5.1.1 bootloader which wont flash. I tried a stock 5.1.1 odin package as well and got the same thing, you just get stuck at a blue screen saying there was an error updating firmware. I can reboot into download mode and if i reflash twrp with odin, it boots straight to the 5.0.2 stock rom again. There is a message on BigBot96's profile saying he will be away for a few weeks so i thought i would drop a line in the q&a and see if anyone had any ideas
Are you trying to install OH7 or OJ1 firmware?
Also can you post a screen shot of the failure in Odin when flashing the stock firmware?
the firmware that came installed on my tab is t710XXU2AOJ4, and i tried to flash t710XXU1BOH7. By the looks of things my 5.0.2 is a version 2 firmware, and the 5.1.1 is only a version 1, so it fails due to trying to downgrade the bootloader version? Would this explain why when i flashed the optimalrom based on the OH7 firmware it just bootlooped?

you can flash the latest stock rom for N920C
Uhm...i faced similar issue. You left oem unlock disabled, which is wrong.
First book into stock recovery, wipe data/factory reset. Wipe everything wipable, then go to download mode. Flash 5.1 stock. If it doesn't work, repeat the wiping, then flash 6.0. Good luck

Device Root Key error

Hello family; you all much appreciated for the support here:
i have an G925A stuck in a boot loop and asks to check DRK. i seem to have no clue on how to go about it, and asking for your kind help.
I have the same problem.
I have updated from 5.0.2 to 6.0.1 (I tried different firmwares found here) and now the phone doesn't boot anymore (it says something about DRK) and goes automatically into recovery mode.
Download mode still working but I don't know what to flash anymore....I can't downgrade to 5.0.2 since the bootloader doesn't allow and I can't try to upgrade to Nougat since "install zip from adb" in original recovery doesn't work...

I had the same issue after trying MM ROM from 5.1.1. Finally I solved this issue following step.
1) My trial MM ROM is PK5 version
2) I try Download ROM (full 4 files) via Odin
3) The issue is remained. I try Download ROM via Odin which is 5.1.1 root version in development board. In recovery mode, you can select reboot. Then phone is freezed with galaxy logo screen without entering recovery mode again.
4) I retry Download PK5 AP ROM only via Odin.
Then phone start to work normally with MM.
But it is not fixed issue. If you enter recovery mode. You will meet the DRK error again.
Anyway, I hope you can slove DRK error issue

SM-N920C XFA Stock ROM Flashable ZIP

I'm having a bit of problem flashing my Note 5 using ODIN. Whenever I flash the stock ROM, ODIN finishes successfully but when the device boots up, it gets stuck on 'No command' and thereafter it is not possible to enter recovery mode or do anything further. I have now flashed TWRP and wiped the entire device and tried again and still, it gets stuck on 'No command'.
I am thinking that as a last resort, I may just get lucky by placing a flashable ZIP of the stock ROM onto the internal storage and install the ROM via TWRP/Recovery mode. I think I first need to get the SM-N920C stock recovery image and flash that first and thereafter flash the stock ROM from the stock recovery options.
Where can I find a stock ROM flashable zip and recovery image for my device? My device is the SM-N920C, build: N920CXXS5CRH2 XFA.
Finally, do you guys think that doing this is a waste of time since flashing with ODIN passed but resulted in the 'No command' error?

If you can not into download mode and have an unlocked bootloader, you can flash stock Samsung firmware with Odin.
Download latest stock Samsung firmware files with Frija (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-frija-samsung-firmware-downloader-checker.3910594/).
