Did you use Mouse (Wireless \ Wired)?
If it does make sure there is no problem with the mouse itself and the Receiver, if you using wired mouse check the Cable. But if the problem still exist, maybe your phone is Lagging caused by Too Much RAM Usage or CPU or GPU Usage (Because you are playing games)

Hi: I've super-upgraded to TuMa 1.3 with very good happy time till now!
Many thanks guys, especially Tuma!!
i just have one problem, when typing on my keyboard, sometimes, not all the time, keys stick and after pressing a key i get something likeeeeeee thissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
or, even worse, the backspace key gets stucked the same way and it erases all EAAARRRHHHGGGG!!!
is this fixable??, is anyone else having this problem???
I use the keyboard big deal...
Have the exact same problem with helmi 1.3

So, I see now that upgrading (something I had planned) to helmi 1.3 doesn't repair this problem. I would like to know where this problem originates to find a solution. I'm using now Pocket Hack MAster with the device running at 597 Mhz and the problem is still there!
Some advice??
EDIT: I've removed the CPU Meter on the upper bar. It seems to work faster and better. Still waiting to see if the problem arises again..
i'm on helmi_c 1.1b and have this problem too. May be that is hardware problem or driver time bomb?
change the keyboard repeat settings, and delay settings, I have had this problem with every wm5 rom, and by changing the settings it appears to fix this prob.
tesing.. thanks for reply...
its not the keyboard repeat settings causing this.. something to do with the device driver priority.. it happens less when you overclock.. I have to stay at 590 to make keyboard typing bearable or else some letters don't register or the repeat sticks..

probably something to do with the ROM as well... it was present on Tuma 1.3 and Helmi AKU 2.3, but after flashing AKU3.0 1.2 keyboard is working fine, be it 200mhz or 570mhz using xcpuscalar.
I've had success with changing the keyboard repeat settings but it comes back eventially. I've had the problem on every WM5 ROM, but less-so on the most recent Helmi ROMs with the AKU update.
its only in the built-in mail program... try typing in O2 SMSPlus or IE or something else

I'm now using Pocket Hack Master with the feature of using different speeds for different apps. It happens less, so, could be the driver priority on CPU intensive apps. Because the SMS app now seems to need more CPU power than before :? :? (bar & text space redraw or something), it is one of the apps I've selected to run at 590 Mhz:shock:.

I'm having this problem with other programs also (i.e.: Softmaker TextMaker, Pocket MindMap). Also, someone said that when using the e-mail (nor the SMS) part of the program the problem doesn't happens.. I've not tried myself as I don't currently use e-mail on my device.

Please, xykosomatik, confirm so. I would be eager to upgrade if this problem is solved on this ROM, as I use the keyboard typing 80% of the time on my device.

I can't try this right now. Doesn't have the device with me. Someone can report on this helping with the problem, please?

If people continually try tweaking the Priority of drivers to ABOVE Real-Time or OS/Services level, and then claim that it makes things better - go right ahead. Sure, it "might" make it seem to operate better - BUT THAT'S ONLY BECAUSE IT'S SERVICING YOUR KEYBOARD AT REAL-TIME RATES ABOVE THE OPERATING SYSTEM ITSELF! ARRGH!
Have fun, enjoy playing with task/thread priorities, and don't complain when your device locks up because your keyboard driver is above the RAM driver, and locks up your device waiting on RAM access.
PLEASE ... read the MSDN articles on Priority settings before posting silly suggestions like setting the Priority to 1. Not even the OS is running at priority 1.
haven't had any lockups yet.. and anything to make the damn keyboard usable in wm5 is good in my opinion

maybe we could do a compromise, i little higher than the OS priority
the keyboard problem is really annoying
what would be a decent value for this, just to raise the priority to a decent level to get a good response from the keyboard?
*sigh* ... why do people still keep punching in random numbers into the registry without checking what the values could or should be? *sigh*

Ok ... before this gets out of hand, and other people start doing "silly" and "stupid" things with Priority256 ... especially without understanding what you're changing, READ THIS! Otherwise you WILL cause untold problems for your device.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...html/wce50conRealTimePrioritySystemLevels.asp
To give you the comparison for Windows XP ... just open Task Manager, select an application which is using 100% CPU, running at Normal Priority, and switch it to Real-Time. Then enjoy how "responsive" the one application is (unless it's accessing the video display and/or disk - i.e. try doing it to an explorer window file copy! ;-)). You'll enjoy a "locked" machine, and admire how you're unable to do anything else - even open the start menu! You may have to hard-reset your machine depending on the application you choose to make Real-Time.
THANKFULLY ... the Keyboard Driver (QwertyKey) has a FORCED time-delay in it (debounce delay) which ensures it can not take 100% CPU time, and through this ... and ONLY through this fact, it hasn't killed your device. Had you done this to ANY other device driver, I'm sure your device would need a hard-reset, and you could start re-installing everything again.
By raising the priority above everything ... ALL you are doing is making the QwertyKey device driver get serviced AHEAD of any other pending interrupt. While this MAY make a slight difference, it will only do so at the expense of EVERYTHING else in the OS. (Like WiFi, Network, USB, ActiveSync, Memory Management, Compaction, etc ...)

Yes, I have had the same issue, but there is a LIMIT to which you can go with the driver Priority in order to "fix" what is fundamentally a hardware and driver problem.

In my testing, and throughout the TuMa ROMs I've used 0x81 - or a priority of 129. This was carefully chosen to be below the Wave device (which was or should be set at 0x80 or 128 for best performance on the BA - again due to driver issues), so that sounds/rings happen at a higher priority than the keyboard. Yes, this is eventhough BOTH Priority256 values for these drivers were tweaked above the default recommendations from MSDN.
If you're finding that the keyboard is causing you grief, you could try inverting these two devices, and setting the keyboard HIGHER than the sound driver - i.e. to 0x7F or 127, and see if the system sound servicing is the cause of the keyboard stuttering delay. However, you may introduce stuttering into the sound output at this point ... i.e. even when you're NOT using the keyboard (which is most of the time).
At the ABSOLUTE HIGHEST level I would even consider, would be just below that of the touch-screen (0x6D). At this level (or above) would cause handwriting recognition issues, as the touch-screen would not be serviced at the correct rate to track the line drawings.
Never even consider going above the Power Manager Resume Priority Level ... if the driver supports power management, and is taking too much CPU, then the power management thread will never be able to "shut it down", and/or wake it up ... ever. Result = lockup.
So ... in summary:
QwertyKey: 0x81 ... or 0x7F to invert priorities
Wave Device: 0x80
I'd still like to test all this with the latest AKU3.x ROMs and see if the Priority settings are still valid, but for the moment, I'll assume that they are.
Good luck to anyone using priorities outside "sane" values ... you will create "priority inversion" conditions, where a driver is waiting on another driver to run, but it never will, since the priorities are reversed. You have been warned ... but enjoy playing with it anyways. Device recovery is only a hard-reset away.
Thanks for clearing this up Tuatara, good post!
oops! i'm reverting the priority values....
Thanks for the post, @Tuatara. it was very enlightening.

Memory Leak issue

Hi, My Diamond seems to have memory leak issue.
I soft reset my device, the memory is 55% but after a activesyn the memory become 60%. If i open any program, the memory go up and will not release after the program is closed.
Any solutions?
Same solution as with any PC? Reboot.
My Diamond has been up to 70% memory, without any programs running.
This is why i think the RAM of Touch Diamond is not enough.
didn't run anything, but still got 65% or higher RAM usage. even with a Lite rom.
it sucks.

Make sure the application is closed, rather than minimized. Minimize an application has the benefit of being able to re-start quicker the next time. Closing (quiting) the application has the benefit of releasing the memory, if not all.
this is a WM6.1 issue not your diamond.
Guys, are there any tools which can let us check which applications or processes are occupying memory?

What programs do you have that wont run on 35% free ram?
even with 72% usage you still have over 30 megs free!
I have never had a problem running an app on my Diamond due to lack of ram.
How often are you seeing the "Not enough available ram" message?
Jules
Yeah I get the same sort of problem to,
Throughout the day, connecting my Diamond to my laptop at work, use activesync, update the weather, sending texts and also looking at pictures on my phone, and playing the occasional game, my memory will get to about 65% free.
Yes I can continue to use my phone, and its not a major problem but its a niggle that could do with being sorted.
When the memory usage gets to 70% I then Soft Reset the Device as this always speeds it up.
It is the best Windows Mobile phone ive owned, and I use the Soft Reset function alot less on my Diamond than I have before.
However it would be nice to own a Diamond without having to Soft Reset it so often. The memory leak issue needs to be fixed Microsoft!!!!!!! Take note!

When your diamond is with 70% or higher ram usage, try to play a song and then open the opera or IE, they will lag your music. You still think 30MB ram is that much?

Yip just did that
Memory was on 79% with Icontacts and Second Today Phone Alarm and Pocket Breez running
Started a song in Manila Music (Korn YAY!!!) listening on A2DP via my Plantronics 855 then opened a web site in Opera. as Opera was opening the song jumped twice for a split second and then played fine. I surfed a few sites and skipped songs using the headset controls all without problems Then I took a call and had one on hold all without a hitch, after I ended the second call the music started up again and I opened a new website
By now the memory was at 88% and it still worked fine.
Don't know if its the Rom I'm using (Shine On 1.5) but my device seems to cope with its ram with no problems. Even with only 13megs free ram Manila was as responsive as with 40megs free.

But that will increase battery drain dramatically since it will make the cpu spend more time on higher frequencies..
I think Ivendor is working in a better wifi driver right now. I will wait for him.

Question regarding the use of Virtual Memory

Device: Xiaomi Mi 5 - 64 GB
ROM: 13.0 SNAPSHOT-ZNH5YAO33XM-gemini
RAM: 3 GB
Hi, i have a question and the rom i am using is described as above.
Using the CM13, the device is fast. However, when playing games like NOVA Legacy the device became unresponsive. After that, it didn't accept touch input anymore and suddenly the game goes from landscape into potrait. It will stayed like that until i pressed the home button. It went back to home screen after a good 20-30 seconds. After the home screen was displayed, it looked weird. There's no information about the battery level or clock, which usually placed on the top right and still unresposive to touch input. After a while, the screen blurs and locked the phone. Not sure if i described this well or not but i assume this happened because the system crashed and tries to reload the launcher and the others while the game is still running.
At first, i thought this happened because the phone only has 3 GB of RAM. Then i play the same game on Samsung Galaxy J5 on CM13.0. This thing only had 1.5 GB of RAM, yet when i play this game , the issue stated above didnt happen at all and even this phone can multitask to other apps while the game is still running. So memory should not be an issue and i confused.
What i did to resolve the issue was to open Kernel Adiutor app. Go to Virtual Memory and increase the Z-RAM from 0 to 1020 MB. After i did this the phone handle the same game like a champ and can multitask better as well. I have not tried on any other rom like the lineage os 14.1, xiaomi eu rom etc. In the end, my Xiaomi on CM13.0 having RAM issue and this added RAM help to counter these issues.
My question is will my internal storage life will be shorten by using it as a page file?

The answer to your question is yes, but ZRAM does not act like a page file. The compression happens in memory, so activating ZRAM won't wear out your storage.

More or less so. Compression eats CPU time, so memory access might be slower, but still faster than disk and not prone to worn out.

Asus rog 2 phone game genie microphone issues

Ever since I upgraded my android version to 10 on Asus rog 2 tencent phone I have this issue. When playing games launched via game genie like pubg or mobile legends..no one can hear me. But I can hear them all loud and clear. Both on external speakers and Bluetooth headset.
When I remove the games from game genie and launch them separately the problem is solved. However air triggers won't work without game genie. Any suggestions are appreciated.
I can't help to solve ur problem, but i posted it on reddit that i have after upgrade (clean installation) Android 10 problems with gaming at all
I dunno about that overheating, playing on max settings and have about 40 C, which is normal i suppose. But since i updated (and later i installed clean raw Android10 system) i have all the time soon or later crashes.... Damn this is driving me nuts, like gaming phone and games keep crashing? Tested on:
Tales of Wind - MMORPG - screen starts flickering, insane drop fps and if u go to "desktop" and back, screen is black, even sounds from game is coming out. If i stay in game and don't go to desktop game crashes itself after a while...
CoD Mobile - MP seems ok (hours without problem), but when i log in to Battle Royal game gets the very same symptoms as in a game above
Grimvalor - SinglePlayer RPG - same as above
All of these games were tested with xMode on and on max setting. Didn't try games too long without xMode, so i can't confirm, that xMode causes this issue....
It's very annoying and thinking to go back on the latest A9... Wanted to try Lineage, but vibrator motors are not working and mainly Air Triggers, so forme it's big no no
Edit:// it seems that xMode or Genie has problems with compatibility with Android 10, so my only advice is to go back on the latest Android 9
i have the same issue with my rog phone 2 , but my mic doesnt work ingame like pubg or call of duty mobile, not even if i remove it from game genie, i changed from CN to ww once according to a tutorial and when i rooted the phone and there was a file that u have to delete to the get old theme running in the tutorial after rooting ,ever since i couldnt get the mic to work i went back to CN rom and got back to ww its all the same
if i tap hard on the phone sides i can see the mic working but not when i talk .... other apps like phone or viber messenger whatsapp they all are working except for games
i have to use headphones with wires to make it working , and ya same issue i have apple air pods 2 pro and their mic not working in pubg either .... anyone can fix this ? i will be very thankful
Can you help me
I am also facing the same problem..
Can you please tell me what you did,if your problem is solved....

The problem still persists. Wired headsets are working. It's only the external microphone and Bluetooth headset. I am not sure if other brand Bluetooth headsets work. Hope fully pubg will fix this
I have the same issue does anybody know what to do?
Same issue after updating to andriod 10 can't use mic or speakers in pubg. Please help
Hey guys same problem here anyone got any solution untill now ?
try downgrading then if you don't need android 10
orr try some terminal stuff to force on the mic? i'm not experienced enough
Idk I tried alot uninstalling updates on game genie and all the settings and permissions. Downgrading seems like a tough job isnthat easy to do ?
you would probably need to unlock the bootloader and flash it
