P20 Pro Video codec colour problem - Huawei P20 Pro Questions & Answers

Using the Huawei P20 Pro I recorded a short 4k clip in DJI Go, Filmic and the Huawei camera apps and also recorded a short 4k clip on a Canon 5D4 DSLR camera. When reviewed on the phone the videos play back ok.
When I import all of the video files into Premiere Pro CC the DSLR 4k video colouration is completely normal and the video from all three phone apps has corrupt colour, mainly large patches of magenta and green which totally obscure the correct colours.
All of my laptop graphics drivers are upto date and the phone is fully updated. As the DSLR video is playing back correctly in Premiere Pro and all three of the videos recorded by different phone apps have corrupt colour I can only think it is down to the phone video codec?
Has anyone else noticed this problem and resolved it as it currently makes the P20 Pro completely useless for video production.

OP3T not supporting 24fps video recording framerate?

Since our stock camera app does not have framerate settings, I tried to download Open Camera. When I set 24fps framerate, and hit record, it says, device does not support this framerate.
Anyone knows what other video recording apps that can support 24fps or is it a problem for our OP3T? I was actually planning to make a short film using this device.
Anyone?
Filmic Pro works fine so don't worry that the phone doesn't support 24fps.

Video playback smudgy/noisy/blurred

Hi,
Something I'm noticing when playing back videos I've previously uploaded to Instagram and Facebook. On the P20 Pro they appear smudgy and blurred. These are 4k videos uploaded from my Xperia Z5. They're crystal clear on my Z5, my HP Laptop, Samsung tablet and even on an old iphone 4 but when I view them on the P20 pro they look smudgy/noisy/blurred. They're fine for the first few seconds then the quality deteriorates and they look really bad. Any ideas on why this is and if it can be fixed?
Device reboot works for me. Probably there is some problem with caching algorithm of uploaded videos.
same with me

for those who have filmic pro

1: Does s10 supports log v2 ?
2: How about autofocus, is it working correctly ?
3: Is it posible to use all three lenses ?
4: Does it have droped frames in extreeme quality ?
Thank you.
My first testing is horrible, tried all qualities:
4k 60fps (not working fine) -> 58.62fps, 58,26fps (the same even quality low)
4k 30fps (fine)
1080p 240fps (not working fine)-> 231,88fps, 228,77fps, 230,51fps
1080p 120fps (not working fine)-> 118 fps
Edit: You can shoot video in HDR+ which results in a flat profile, that can be graded in Premiere very heavily. First it looks completely overexposed, as soon as I check HDR in the lumetri effect in Premiere and bring the kurves down all highlights start coming back. Don't know what log v2 is...
None of the formerly awesome video/editing apps work correctly on the S10+ so far. Very irritating
Then at least there is hope it can be fixed on the Software Side later on... I hope next update will fix things. Of which Video Editing Apps are you talking? My first Samsung.
And back to your question, found this: reddit.com/r/galaxys10/comments/b4x57d/samsung_s10_zhiyun_smooth_4_filmic_pro_log/
I got the S10 plus Exynos and I get an ugly frame drop with Filmic Pro. Don't know what to do anymore.
Tele lens is not working..
Wide angle front and back is working pretty good
So now that it is 2020, have things gotten any better with Filmic and the S10+ ? thx.
Currently app supports 4K 24p Wide, and ultra Wide on S10+ Exynos, and 1080p on front camera. Video recording from front is wider than on stock cam. I'm noticing though issues with the sound - it's not working on internal mic, only at external but not always.

Audio quality in video recordings

I tend to record quite a few videos of live music, and need a phone that isn't going to completely destroy the audio quality. My Note 8 and now Galaxy S10 do fairly well, but I'm really wanting the camera features and bigger battery in the Huawei P30 Pro.
Anyone know how Huawei has generally been with audio quality while recording video, or (better yet) have a P30 Pro and have tested this?
My Mate 9 Pro and the P30 Pro seems to have fine audio recording when using default camera apps. Third party apps all recorde audio at extremely low (unusable) volume, but it might be that the apps need to be updated. I hope it's not some stupid limit set by Huawei. That would make no sense whatsoever.

Problem with video recordings

With each new scene, the first five to six frames are a freeze frame and there is no sound either. The same problem occurs on my son's mobile phone, also P30 pro. This problem also occurs with some other camera apps, but with a Pixel camera app that has been adapted, every new video recording scene has moving images from the start and the sound is present. Do you also have this problem? Just try it out and watch the individual frames with video editing software.
How can this problem be solved?
