How to Root p9 plus VIE-L09

Hello guys im new to the forum,
I wanted to root my phone a p9+ VIE-L09 with android 7.0
I tried the whole afternoon with no success and I think I almost bricked my phone.
from what I have understood I have to
Enable fast boot <---- DONE
install TWRP <---- don't know what to do
Root <---- ?
I tried using droidth's SRK tool but doesn't work for VIE-L09 I think?

Unfortunatly it doesn't work when I need to reboot in twrp and install the root package the device is stuck on loading screen with "your device is booting now..."
it seems like it cannot load twrp recovery?
No recovery tool supports VIE-L09 model (TWRP/CWM), I tried also with One Click Root but the dont support the model I gues this phone cannot be rooted because there is no recovery support

Yes, twrp should work, you must have the wrong twrp or doing something wrong.

Did this work? I am hoping to root my Huawei P9 VIE-L09C02 with B350 (P9 Plus with Vodafone Stock ROM, EMUI 5.1 & Android 7.0)
Normally it works, but your bootloader and FRP must be unloked

I am not able to boot into twrp recovery so I'd appreciate all the help.
I have unlocked bootloader.
Downloaded the twrp from here recovery
flashed twrp
flashed misc
then rebooted into recovery
formatted data
rebooted recovery
then I formatted internal storage and system partition also (I think this where I screwed up)
then again I rebooted the recovery and instead the device goes to fastboot. No matter what I try, it just wont go into recovery.
I flashed twrp again and flashed mics countless times but the device keeps going into fastboot and not into the recovery.
Can anyone help please? Thanks.

Just download fastboot rom from this link
https://mifirm.net/download/3560
Flash with MI FLASH TOOL in fastboot mode
Don't worry. I had this issue twice . You need to flash fastboot rom without locking the bootloader again(choose it from the bottom of miflash tool). then go to fastboot mode and reinstall twrp again and install any rom you need or even downgrade to earlier version.
if you flash miui_PYXISGlobal_V11.3.4.0.PFCMIXM_78bb922dcd_9.0.zip on fastboot, you'll start from scratch, it'll boot but with stock recovery, so that could be your plan B
You guys are awesome. My phone is back into action. Thank you very much.
I followed this guide and it all went smooth.

I fixed it I think it's because of a theme I applied
I successfully installed a Custom ROM called pixel plus ui android 12 in redmi 9. then i noticed a bug that few minutes later my device gets into a state that looks it turned OFF automatically . But it's not OFF then i have to use manual reboot to turn it on...................Any solutions????Thanks Advance.
I don't know if there's a fix for that
It was still happening in Ppui android 11 roms

General Unofficial TWRP Image Leak

I have eagerly been waiting for the release of a TWRP image or MSM tool for this device, to no avail
I have seen on one of these posts, found here, a potentially working TWRP image.
Currently it is just the twrp.img without any zip
Directly download it here
As said below, this should be flashable within magisk to install
- I have NOT tested this personally
- I am not advising anybody try this image either
- Password decryption appears to not be functional
- This appears to only function on Android 13

It should be able to flash into magisk, but there is no guarantee that flashing into rom can enter the system

Agreed. I'm sure there are some people willing to give it a shot.
I haven't flashed an image since split partitions has existed, which is a fairly long time now
Even with the OP10, I am still unrooted. TWRP provides just that extra bit of security to me
I tested the twrp. I flashed to A then flashed to B . Put phone to fastboot flashed using the fastboot commands
( fastboot flash recovery_a ) then flashed B using commands ( fastboot flash recovery_b ) . From fastboot went to recovery . Booted up twrp recovery . Change language to English ( second from bottom right ) . Completed backup , reboot phone ok . Then went back into fastboot and reboot to twrp recovery. So its seems to be working ok so far.

how do you operate
Beware, this twrp.img is not bootable. Command fastboot boot twrp.img won't work, you will get bootloop into OP logo. Rebooting into fastboot mode and doing fastboot boot stockboot.img will help.
So it means you can only flash it directly. Confirmed by me and three others.
