Service Roms -DLOAD for C432,upgrade O-O or N-O, unbrick, locking bootloader, etc - Huawei P10 Lite Guides, News, & Discussion

Finally Service roms for Emui 8 provided by Huawei . Only for EU models - C432
Same Service roms could be used for upgrade from Emui 5 to Emui 8, and its a new possibility.
But please be careful for upgrading from emui 5 to emui 8 you should be on the latest builds c432B209 or c432B210, otherwise you will brick your phone!!! And... use force method for dload, otherwise if you use normal upgrade or select wrong files you will get wrong build 8.0.0.046(0BUG)!!! If you dont read this instruction as usualy and got wrong build just repeat procedure but now with emui 8-emui 8 ziped files and of course suitable files for your model.
Instructions are not so easy, so before you do anything, please read carefully Software Upgrade Guideline approved by Huawei.
My strongly recommendation is forced method with three buttons for unbrick, or rollback from custom roms, fix frp accidently locked, for locking bootloader, for upgrade from Emui 5- Emui 8 using dload method. With this roms you will get full stock firmware with locked bootloader and your warranty will not void any more!
Before you perform dload forced method with three buttons please make a backup using one of many solutions such as HiSuite, HiCloud, PhoneClone, Backup on SD, etc. Because forced method wipe all data on internal storage including photos, music, videos, apps, etc.
Remember:
LX mark "X" means 1 or 2
1- single sim (one Imei) , 2-dual sim (two Imeis, or converted models in some cases with oeminfo for dual sim)
Letter A- means 4gb models
L01- 3GB Single Sim
L21 - 3GB Dual Sim
L21A - 4GB Dual sim
L01A- 4GB Single Sim
For Emui 8 - Emui 8 upgrade, or unbrick, rollback from custom rom on Emui 8
On SD card put follow folder and subfolder depend of your model
└─dload
│└─WAS-L01_hw_eu
│└─update_sd_ WAS-L01_hw_eu.zip
│└─WAS-L01A_hw_eu
│└─update_sd_ WAS-L01A_hw_eu.zip

│└─WAS-L21A_hw_eu
│└─update_sd_ WAS-L21A_hw_eu.zip
├─update_sd.zip
For example: I have dual sim , 3 gb model.... so I will create dload folder on SD and inside of dload place file update_sd.zip
and subfolder WAS-L21_hw_eu and in that subfolder put update_sd_ WAS-L21_hw_eu.zip, like this
└─dload
│└─WAS-L21_hw_eu
│└─update_sd_ WAS-L21_hw_eu.zip
├─update_sd.zip

Very important step for Emui 5 - Emui 8 ----You should unzip, for example for my model dual sim, 3GB,.... the update_sd.zip、update_sd_ WAS-L21_hw_eu.zip file, and get out UPDATE.APP to do upgrade operation, the file list as below:

Thank you.Kreten nije procitao tutorijal.Everyting is OK,now.

I did it without a mistake, just read the instructions! Everything is well explained and supported by the pictures!
It is not difficult to follow the instructions!

Also with service rom your bootloader will be locked again, and warranty will not void any more.
I had relocked bootloader because earlier I used HWOTA method. After service rom my bootloader goes from relocked again in locked.

Hello there, I have a simple question.
I read the instructions but one thing is not clear to me. I have dual SIM LX1 model, and I am currently on B210.
Which one of these service roms do I choose, I mean 361 or 362, or it doesn't matter?
Thanks.
Hvala brate

It doesnt matter. But for Serbia you can use B361 because in b362 there is fix for VoLte. Everything rest is same.
From Emui 8 there is no rule for SS or DS and build number like on Emui 5.

No, you wont, this is official service ROM from Huawei (as stated in the post).
In the matter of fact you should flash this in order to gain your warranty again (if void before).
Cheers

Rollback from Official Android 6.0 or BETA 6.0 to Android 5.01 (B190 or B170)

Since I was kind of not happy with the official Android 6.0 (B550) as it did have (again!) the so called "double-tap-keyboard" bug I've decided to make a rollback to B190 (as it does not have this bug - details about the bug here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/double-tap-problem-keyboards-firmware-t3343287). Procedure to follow is the same I did with BETA so if you follow the below short guide you should get back (if you want) quite safely to Lollipop.
Please carefully follow the instructions. If you do not understand or are not sure what to do - DO NOT DO ANYTHING - just don't make downgrade.
It applies for sure to B524 BETA 6.0 and B550 Official 6.0 (available in Europe) :
1. Download : http://consumer.huawei.com/pl/suppo...0=Mobile Phones&key1=Smartphones&key2=ALE-L21
2. Extract 1.zip package and go to the first folder ( .\1\ALE-L21 Northeast Europe Channel Rollback upgrade package for ALE-L21C432B524\01 xbl(Downgrade Downgrade Packages) )
3. Copy folder "dload" to the internal memory (probably you may want to use microSD card however I used internal memory)
4. Make BACKUP!
5. Make sure you have backup!
6. Turn off the mobile.
7. Turn on the mobile by pressing all three keys : vol+, vol-, power button (device SHOULD NOT be connected to PC)
8. Wait untill transition package finishes (takes c/a 3 minutes).
9. You will end up with Build ALE-L21C432B300 (transition build). This should not be used on daily basis as it is ONLY for getting back to Lollipop (see official Huawei materials for details)
10. Delete the contents of "dload" folder in your phones internal memory.
11. Download B190 (or B170 - may also work with others but these two were tested) : http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=72585&version=256613&siteCode=de
11. Extract the downloaded archive - open it and copy the "dload" folder with B190 firmware (2,8GB uncompressed!) to the phones internal memory.
12. Turn off mobile.
13. Turn on the mobile by pressing again all three keys : vol+, vol-, power button (device SHOULD NOT be connected to PC)
14. May take couple of minutes (5-10) as the whole firmware gets installed.
15. The device will be automatically rebooted and all user-data will be removed.
16. Enjoy your downgraded firmware
You can install the official update if you be on build (all info is in the pdf in the zip of the update)

how to do this on version b525 ?
Downgrade to single build B052 by fastboot and after directly with the native updater install vendor< B170<B188 and B550(in a dload folder's at root on your internal or external sd)
You can directly jump to B550 since B170.B188.is only a ota update.
Only way without any trouble.
It's because B525 is single sim variant firmware.
This B550 official update is for dual.
But you can use this on your single and use the second sim if you want or ext-sd like now.
If you want help and links pm me.
Also unlock bootloader is need.

Yes, I know.
I thought that since I figured out that this "simple" procedure works fine also for Official B550 - anyone that would want to downgrade can follow.
Obviously - after the downgrade it is possible to make an upgrade again at any time.
I am from greece with branded vodafone 5.1.1 CO2B181 and i want to do the p8 lite dual sim and flash the android 6. Please tell me the method...thank u

In order to make a downgrade you need to download the full (this 1,5GB+) firmware (be it B170 or B190 as I tested). Having a small OTA patch only would not be enough.
But anyway - once you flash B300 transition package on Android 6.0 and then flash B170 you should be able to get an OTA with the rest (if not - you can always flash newer ones through Local Update).
Ok, but do I need to apply rollback upgradr or I just need downgrade b170 .

If you are downgrading from Android 6.0, first you need to apply the B300 transition package and THEN B170 or B190 full package (see the howto in my first post for details).
Ok thanks for all support

You'll be needing a rollback package ( a transition rom) , then from there you can head to any lollipop build...
Download this rollback package
Now extract it and you'll get a folder named dload or just update.app file (~200mb - 300mb). If its later, put the update.app file in a folder named dload and copy it to the root of the sd card. Dial *#*#2846579#*#*, a context menu will appear and select SDCard Upgrade, the phone will restart and upgrade.
By doing this, you'll get into the transition rom.
After that download your required firmware (b190 or b170), extract that and do as you did earlier with the transition package..
Done

P9 - 7.0 Nougat update EVA-LO9 B182

Hello,
I was hoping someone could help me select the most relevant nougat beta update for my P9. I really want to get on to android 7.0 asap and my current build number is:
EVA-L09C432B182
I cannot find any matching build numbers on the beta update list. Would anyone know if this is required to match perfectly or is there a version I could download. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

So no, I'd rather not brick my L19 device with this^

Hello,
I was hoping someone could help me select the most relevant nougat beta update for my P9. I really want to get on to android 7.0 asap and my current build number is:
EVA-L09C432B182
I cannot find any matching build numbers on the beta update list. Would anyone know if this is required to match perfectly or is there a version I could download. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I installed the latest build that was released yesterday 1/16 on my P9 single sim (EVA-L09) via huawei firmware updater . Update from B182 to 361 went w/o any issues. New firmware is quite responsive, no complaints there.

That's interesting, I thought the update fails for phones that haven't been signed up for the beta.
Hello. I'm a total noob at this, but I read this forums a lot. I'd like to know if there's a way I can update my P9 to Nougat.
My device's software version is EVA-L09C212B141.
I'm in Latin America and there hasn't been a beta here yet. And there's no newer version for me via the EMUI update app on my phone either.
Is it possible for me to update to a newer version, and then install the latest version of Nougat on my phone?
Thanks in advance!
Hi
I've tried this but it downloaded to 99% then said failed and now it fails at 0%
Im on c432b360 can you please help
Thanks
John
THANK YOU! I finally managed to update c432b182 to c432B361 using this method.
I can confirm that B361 installed with no difficulties using this KrAzYtHeBoY's procedure.
Many, many thanks KrAzYtHeBoY!!! Well happy now!!!
Update: Build Number is showing as NRD90M test-keys. What's all that about does anyone know?!
Would this work over B322-log? Being abandoned by Huawei atm
amazing response, thank you.
I know the name of it is custom rom, does that mean it is not genuine Huawei firmware?, don't really want to mess with the potential warranty situation.
Thank you

Guide to update from EMUI 8.x (Oreo) to EMUI 9.x (Pie)

Hi In this Guide I am going to show a way to update Emui 8.x to Emui 9.x using Firmware Finder
It can be used on locked and unlocked Bootloader.
Data mostly wont be erased but will be erased in some cases where stock system is tampered earlier.
It may or may not lock your Bootloader.
For this you need to install Firmware Finder app ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teammt.gmanrainy.huaweifirmwarefinder ) on your device , original thread for the app ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/tools/general/huawei-firmware-finder-team-mt-t3469146/ )
Note 1:
This method requires latest EMUI 8.X available for your device. If you are not on the latest update repeat the below steps to install latest EMUI 8.x for your device.
Note 2: This process is safe to proceed if you have selected correct firmware for your device , If you try to flash wrong firmware and bricked your device I wont be responsible for it.
Steps to Update :
1. Install Firmware Finder App ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teammt.gmanrainy.huaweifirmwarefinder)
2. Select your Device in the App
3. Check the list of available firmwares
4. If you are not on the latest EMUI 8.x firmware then you need to install it
5. Select the next update iteration for your device
6. Check whether the update is approved your IMEI or not if check step 11 below
7. If the update is approved Get an update through eRecovery (Note that for this method you have to change DNS in your Router)
8. Click On Next and copy DNS address from the App
9. Change DNS in the Router and reboot your Router (Check whether DNS is configured properly or not by clicking this URL http://query.hicloud.com/checkConnect.action if you get 404 then its not configured properly)
10. Now click on the check availablitiy if not yet approved check next step
11. There is a option for Register update in the screen now click on register update and click next here your IP will be registered for sending the update
12. Now connect your device to charger and reboot into eRecovery by pressing Volume+ button
13. Once its rebooted cleck on the option Download latest version and recovery
14. On Next step Download and recovery
15. It will search for WiFi and will list the available WiFi , select the WiFi which you used to register your IP in step 11
16. It will proceed to download the select firmware once it done it will Reboot.

If you are confused to install which package just check the security patch month for the currently installed version and then check the next month security patch in the Firmware Finder and install it.

[Guide] Debranding/Fixing Honor Play to COR-L29 C636 (Works on Locked Bootloader)

Lets start with credit, Thanks to @Claritea for sharing this firmware which helped in fixing my Honor play with random config/display in about phone section.
I had a honor play with locked bootloader but it was garbled, in the sense, about phone section was messed up, there were lines on home screen and as it was demo version, I wouldn't be getting update on this phone but @Claritea helped me fixing this phone.
I had this in my about phone section (and bootloader was locked)

I am trying to convert my recently converted Honor Play COR-L29(C636) to C432. Earlier this device was COR-AL00(C675) which I converted to L29(C636) by your guide. My main purpose for this was to get Widevine L1 which is available on the Europe version. I have learned that C432 does have Widevine L1 and would like to attempt the very same by flashing the first dload(which changes build number to Chipset Botson) and then flash this file (Huawei Honor Play COR-L29 Cornell-L29A 8.2.0.101(C432CUSTC432D2) Firmware Android 8.1.0 EMUI 8.2.0 05015FUC androidhost.ru). I'm flashing (8.2.0.101) because it worked the first time for AL00 to C636. If there is any help or caution you can provide then please do so.

(HELP) Huawei P9 downgrade from Oreo to Nogat

Hello guys
My HW P9 was on L09C900b136 (Android 6 / EMUI 4.1)
I wanted to upgrade my android version , so I followed a tutorial to rebrand my phone using SRK tool, Ihave chosen AL10 to be able to flash this Chinese firmware that have Oreo / emui 8.0 (EVA-AL10C00B520 – 8.0.0.520 – China)
After many fails and tries, somehow it was flashed. and I lost the twrp recovery.
Yes ! I'm on Oreo now, but there is many problems, I got an empty system (No google apps, no browser, no keyboard, .... ) and so many other bugs in the system
Another problem : I can't flash twrp (i couldn't find the suitable version for emui 8.x) .
I just want to rebrand again and use other firmware, Is there any solution to this ???

You can not upgrade to Oreo from c900 Marshmallow, and you cannot upgrade by SRK tools - where did you find such instructions?
You must first rebrand eg to c432 and upgrade to Nougat.
Btw, there were recently few other users who asked here and were given link to the old instructions:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72153575&postcount=2
For upgrading from Nougat to Oreo there is a HWOTA7 thread with detailed and precise instructions and tools (again, there wre also users here who asked about and were answered and given link to the thread):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rebrand-update-tool-hwota7-p9-eva-t3820849
Btw, there are different TWRPs for different versions of EMUI (stock Android), one for MM, one for N and one for O - you must not flash and use your eg old from MM for N or O, you will brick the phone.
In the HWOTA7 thread there are TWRPs both for O(reo) and N(ougat)
Probably you should try to downgrade to N by following the OP post #3 in the HWOTA7 thread (link above), and then (if you still wish), properly upgrade from N to O by following the OP post #2

For AL10 c00, the latest available build is b540 with Patch02.
To make SIM card work (on the original L09 = Single SIM), or to make two SIM cards work (on the original L19 = Dual SIM), you must install Network patch from HWOTA7 thread.
It will also make you work 4G international bands, and will remove Chinese bloatware.
As in OP instructions, you will just need to install Google Play apk (Services will be already in)
Please read OP instructions about rooting (there is described v18.1 but it works just fine with latest v19.3)
You can also install Face Unlock add-on

Thinking twice, your approach was interesting and it should work with SRK if, after rebranding to AL10 c00, you flashed Nougat b399 sp17 (instead of Oreo b520).
Then, you would:
a) Receive OTA upgrade for Oreo b528 (as you did when you downgraded from incomplete b520 to b399 sp17 by following HWOTA7 thread, post #3)
or
b) Flash by DLOAD b528 Service repair:
https://androidhost.ru/6sl
or
c) Continue with step 13 as in HWOTA7 thread, post #2, to directly flash b540
In cases (a) and (b), you will have to let OTA to update you from b528 to b540, and then to complete the installation by following HWOTA7 thread, post #2, step 20 and onwards
Hope that upon you downgraded to Nougat AL10 c00 b399 sp17, you successfully upgraded to Oreo b540, as in option (c)
PS: You can upload screenshots or photos directly to XDA as attachments
When creating or editing your post in browser, take Go Advanced option and then choose icon for uploading attachments - see attach

b) Flash by DLOAD b528 Service repair:
https://androidhost.ru/6sl
or
c) Continue with step 13 as in HWOTA7 thread, post #2, to directly flash b540
In cases (a) and (b), you will have to let OTA to update you from b528 to b540, and then to complete the installation by following HWOTA7 thread, post #2, step 20 and onwards
Hope that upon you downgraded to Nougat AL10 c00 b399 sp17, you successfully upgraded to Oreo b540, as in option (c)

Just wanted to ask you, have you made it to Oreo AL10 c00 b540 (Patch02) with NW patch and Face Unlock?
Or you maybe moved further to Open Kirin Treble ROMs, like Omni Pie
Or you pulled back to c432 Nougat...
