[Q] Does BlinkFeed support Google Reader(Google account)?

Hi, after showcase of hTC ONE & new Sense 5, I was impressed by BlinkFeed.
It could replace other RSS & feed apps.(such as flipboard, pulse, etc)
One simple question.
Does it support Google Reader feeds?
At HTC blog, there are so many individual supporting magazines and FB, Twiits, but no information about Google Reader.
I also would like to know the same...

I read somewhere that RSS isn't currently supported but htc has said it will be supported in a coming update

Because certain things the most important, need to be made first, software needs to be built and not everything is all that easy.
If cell phones companies decided that they're going to pack every lil thing into the device before release to make "you" the few happy, the device will never get release.
Manufacturers are always thinking about things. What to add, what to remove, what to tweak, etc...they can't accommodate everyone.
Future software updates means the device will have a longer life spand.

I definitely need RSS since all of my news comes from Google Reader. Hope the update will come soon after the launch of the phone.

Same here. I'd be really annoying if we've to search sources one by one or have to find for others different than our current ones

If not having RSS feed in blinkfeed is a deal breaker for you than that's just stupid..
No one is forcing you to use blinkfeed
Continue using your current RSS reader on the phone.. Or wait for a update that you still won't be happy with probly

It is what it is, 6 inch is never small and the camera is OK with sufficient light. Better look for the new 5X. its smaller and has a better camera.

In answer to your question, personally, yes I think the Nexus 6 is still a good option. As a matter of fact, I just bought a Google Motorola Nexus 6 (2014) off Amazon.com last month (December 2015) for $250 + Tax and I love it. I know the camera isn't the best, there's NO fingerprint scanner, and its only 32-bit instead of 64-bit like the Nexus 5x, but for me, the overall performance, the QHD screen, front facing speakers, VoLTE (especially for T-Mobile), stock android with timely android updates and more makes for a really cool phablet. And I mean phablet, this phone is big, but not as big as my previous daily driver the Huawei Ascend Mate 2. Hope my answer helps.

Do keep in mind, my Nexus 6 is rooted running stock rom and I use greenify, so my battery life is good for me, I have the notification LED (have to root and buy an app to get), I use Nova Launcher with double tap to sleep through an app. It's all in what you want in a smartphone and more so, what you don't want. To me, this time around on buying a new smartphone, it was simple, it had to be a Nexus. With my budget, it came down to the Nexus 6 vs Nexus 5x. I feel like I made a good choice especially for the money, but I haven't used the camera while sightseeing yet. It should be fine.

I just bought my Nexus 6 about 3 months ago. It was my first Nexus device, but even after this short anount of time I can say pretty firmly that I will never buy another phone that isn't a Nexus! Stock battery life on Marshmallow has been great compared to the Note 4 that I had before this. In addition, stock, unbloated Android is truly a work of art that you should experience at least one. Also, it is a big phone but you will definitely get used to the size after a few days. I'm not sure if Swappa is available in your country, but I got my Nexus 6 off of Swappa for $220 a few months ago. Worth every penny IMO and renewed my love of Android.

I love stock Android also. Have a S3 and that's all what I want. A stock Android. What is really stopping me from buying a Nexus 6 is the size . If fit in my pockets that will not be a problem. I have a 4,8' phone and I really wanted a big phone!

Dash Charge

Been reading it on the OPO forums that with custom roms dash charge dont work :crying:
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/dash-charge-source-code-not-released.451070/
this is bad. If i cannot use dash charge with custom rom i will not buy this device.
Do you think that they will release the source code ?

They know that 99% of oneplus owners use roms. Why they take such a stupid decision?!

According to sultanxda (developer legend for OPO), implementing Dash charging would not be very hard on OP3 by utilizing driver from the similar OPPO device: https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/co...ash_charging_source_code_not_released/d4ejg67
So even if OP does not eventually release this, we may not be totally screwed.
anyone compared charging current with ampere app on stock and custom?

Hopefully this isn't as difficult as it was to get fingerprint sensor working on OP2 ROMs. I read Sultan's note about Oppo headers for VOOC charging but still can't believe OnePlus push the 1+3 as being a developer friendly device and leave out the source code for one of their biggest features in dash charge. Hopefully this gets fixed soon and gets more traction from the community so OnePlus responds
Sidenote: @Grarak had dash charge working using private sources so is he simply not using that moving forward because they didn't end up releasing them/out of respect for their choice? Feel like if we have the sources once we should be good to go but I guess since it's private proprietary drivers it could be a licensing issue

I was referring specifically to the sources in the private kernel used in your first CM build which had dash charging working to my understanding and not moving forward. My question being if it is a licensing issue which has had you remove those sources or something to that effect?
Thank you for taking the time to comment. Much appreciated as always and thank you for your continued efforts on OnePlus 2&3

I think rather than "protecting" any sort of OPPO IP in regards to DASH/VOOC charging, it felt more like an attempt to make sure we buy their charger for fast charging. Since DASH charging does not really go up to 4A, but rather only peak around 3A at most, there really isn't any need for a special DASH charger and special cable. All you need is generic USB Type C 3A charger and regular cable... And by the secrecy around the code, I think what they fear is that we will just enable 3A fast charging whenever we see a normal USB type C with 10K resistor.
