Lol.. Actually I figured as much, I just thought it was kind of funny you had put that there.
There's some stuff about bad key floating around here somewhere, sorry I don't remember where.

When you flashed the unsigned boot.img it shows the "bad key" text is floating and orange warning on boot logo

Sorry to revive an old thread.
I also have the message bad key on device boot. The device is a Moto G6 Play (XT1922-4)
It started to appear after I unlocked the bootloader (following the official guide, and a guide on this forum, both of them listing the same steps).
The message stays for a moment and then the device starts normally.
Do you guys have any idea how to remove this message or why is that it appears?
Added a picture of the error.

It shows whenever you unlock the bootloader of a moto device. There's no way to remove it. You can install a different boot logo with white at the top which may hide it a little. But there's no removing it

Try to hard reset your X1 as this:
1. turn off the phone
2. Hold both right and left buttons (the ones right under the screen)
3. press power button, while still holding the others

First.. Why would you start new tread if you could post your question in the Energy ROM tread in which you would get much easier answer????
Second: reading and understanding before moving towards to possibly screw up your device is first thing to understand
Anyhow if you wanted ROM as same as in the picture then you need to flash Energy.BLACKSTONE.23542.Sense2.5.Mar.05.7z
..

Did you install hspl or use uspl to flash the rom? Read the following - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505377.
ok, 2 users have responded to assist you.
Firstly, Bulldog, who quite rightly asked why you didn't post this in the NRG thread in this forum instead of creating a new thread
Secondly, ClydeB1, asked whether you used HSPL or USPL which looks like a good starting point, and he also directed you to thread.
I suggest you ask the question about rom in NRG thread and ask for flashing assistance in dummies guide thread (link from ClydeB1)

I'm following this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295068 and I can't go on after step 12 because my computer won't get drivers not even from windows update. I searched the forums but I can't find them for HD7. What should I do? I wanted to avoid posting a thread to annoy but I searched before.

seriously!? you couldn't ask in the thread you linked to?
using quick reply takes less time than opening a new thread.
Down volume key
@Glaphan
I lost my 1 hour finding the answer of the same question, well in this tutorial that step which define how to enter in Boot loader is wrong in my eyes.
You have to press DOWN volume button with start button to enter in the 3 color screen which is boot loader. then your computer must find the driver correctly.
I was using the UP volume button, by which i cant see the 3 colors and the computer was unable to find the driver.
Hope this will work for you.

Little brother messed up his phone... and I'm too dumb to fix.

Hello new friends.
My little brother and his inventive mind were messing around with his phone and this started to show up:

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
(btw, I tried what it says on the screen.. did nothing.. also trying to flash a new rom did nothing)
I know little about Motorola phones and rooting in general... all i can do is "root" samsung with silly Odin software (easymode right?)
I gave the phone to a friend and after some examination he said that somehow my little brother managed to "delete and/or corrupt" the phones main partition. whatever that means... He was unable to do a hard reset because at some point the phone said there was a problem with one of the partitions.
Now.. while I dont know much about android and motorola, im great following directions.
is there a humanly possible way to fix this?
I can get to this menu below, but everything I touch goes back to bootloader message:
Additional info with numbers mumblejumble:
Thanks in advance,
Dan.

as I understand it this is only the bootloader unlocked, the phone works regularly only that at the time the alert you. There are two ways to avoid this annoying message:
1 relock the bootloader
2 use an alternative screen that hides the annoying warning.
before re-locking take a deep DELETE and uses a script to reload a ROM from scratch
Find it all on xda !!!! look!

Soft-Bricked A71, need help.

So, I rooted my hand-me-down Samsung A71, and enjoyed learning about the process and experiencing it. Now, here's the problem. I soon found out that it is just not worth it to root this obscure (*Ahem*) phone, and uninstalled Magisk through the Magisk manager. I checked that the phone had indeed unrooted, and then tried to lock the bootloader. I forgot to flash the stock firmware. And now I have a phone boot looping into recovery mode, and just not allowing me to access the OS. When I try to flash stock firmware through Odin, it freezes. ****.
I screwed up. Help. This thing is very dear to me.
I checked for ways to force-flash, and found EDL and QPST. But this method requires the damn firehose/.mbn firmware file for my A175F A71, which I just can't seem to find.
Should I contact Samsung to generously provide me the firmware, or what? Any suggestions highly appreciated.
P.S: Will soon attach a video of it.

I can't, and that is precisely the problem. When starting the device, it straight away takes it to recovery mode, and tries to lock the bootloader continously, but just can't because of the firmware. It doesn't let me do anything.

I managed to unbrick my A71! The above attachment is of it. I was such an idiot. Even in such a circumstance, you can go into download mode, and unlock the bootloader. I did so, set up my A71, and enabled Usb Debug and straight away flashed stock firmware, and THEN locked the bootloader. Damn was I scared. Thanks for your help, Ahmed.
