Installation Steps
Make sure you have this twrp installed
Make sure you have latest modem and bootloader installed from here
Make sure your phone is charged to at least 70%.
Download the ROM and patch zips (if any), and transfer to your phone
Boot the phone into Recovery Mode
Do a FULL wipe: Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, System
Flash rom
The first boot may take 15-20 min
After booting up in setting wizard make sure to uncheck diagnostic data

FAQ
Q: How to report bugs?
A: If you want to report a bug make sure you include:
-device variant / modem version / bootloader version
-detailed info about the encountered issue
-steps to reproduce the bug
-logs - about how to take logs
Q: What's the difference between these 2 Lite roms?
A: J5 2016 rom has themes support, J2 2018 rom has clipboard. Personally i use clipboard everyday, maybe some of you do same and i don't use themes at all.. For me J2 rom is better. But if someone would rather use themes and ditch clipboard, can use J5 rom. Therefore 2 roms.
Q: Sound quality is low, what to do?
A: Go into Settings>Sound>Sound quality and effects>Advanced, move all the equalizer dots on top to 10db and back to 0db. Equalizer will reset now. You need to do this only once for any playback output (headphones, speaker, bluetooth).
Q: Phone is asking to reboot because sim changed, what should i do?
A: Reboot once and see if it appears again. If yes reboot again.
Q: Phone asks to wipe data because operator changed, should i wipe?
A: Try to cancel and just reboot. If you can't do that or the popup still appear, reflash the rom and wipe from aroma installer.
Q: GPS not finding my location, what to do?
A: Install GPS Test, enable location services from settings, go outside and wait for 20 minutes.
Q: How can i disable/enable navigation bar?
A: Reflash rom without wiping anything.
Q: Where are navigation bar settings?
A: There aren`t any navigation bar settings because the rom is ported from a device without native navigation bar.
Q: Why camera can`t be fully fixed?
A: Unfortunately camera can't be bugless because old device - old camera drivers, so we need to live with a bug, choosable in aroma:
- Video recording bug - Video recording works only in Footej Camera (already included in the rom) but focus is fully working
- Focus bug - Video recording works in any camera app, but focus is half broken (works 1 of 2 times)
Q: Why volte/vowifi will never work?
A: Network is partially working now because we use marshmallow network libs. For fixing these 2 features we need nougat compatible network libs which we don`t have. Hence this, volte/vowifi can't be fixed and will never work.
Q: Why native blur will never work?
A: Native blur requires blur libs from another snapdragon phone with same android version 7.1.1, only two phones now matching these two conditions are C9 pro and Note 8, and the blur libs make the phone bootloop, so will never work.
Q: Why FM Radio will never work?
A: In order to fix sound on speaker i needed to find a device with same speaker amplifier and same android version (7.1.1). After months of research i found it, but it was a tablet without FM radio. Since Samsung uses different output paths for FM, no FM for us too.

Glad to hear! I made these 2 lite roms for the people that need basic functionality of nougat along with fast experience and better battery. Yes, i love features, but i also love when my phone doesn't hang or drain battery with useless services.
Someone asked me on private what's the difference between these 2 Lite roms.
J5 2016 rom has themes support, J2 2018 rom has clipboard. Personally i use clipboard everyday, maybe some of you do same and i don't use themes at all.. For me J2 rom is better. But if someone would rather use themes and ditch clipboard, can use J5 rom. Therefore 2 roms.
Will keep testing various roms, maybe i bring more to A5 community if i have time, it's still a powerfull phone and i won't let it die yet.

LTE Network
ROM is working very smooth on my A500F, the only problem is 4G/LTE not working only 3G connecting.
any solution please.

Problem but good work
When caller call me and her phone hearing double sound of her he hear....?but my stock havnt that problem.just in this rom face it.....:victory:

My a5f its properly work...just problem on sim 2 maybe .but i face another big problem"my caller whan call me or i call him.he says he hearing Double sound in call time....in this problen any solution??

I think that is related to your network coverage, i have A500F too and 4g works flawless here.

Try to reflash, i tried to reproduce that issue, it was reported on A8 rom too, but still i don't have any issues. What region are you in? Maybe it's related to csc.

Some information you should know..
This is a full Samsung OneUI port with android version 9.0
If you want to report a Bug, read the F.A.Q First Then provide a logCat OR LoggingKit.zip with detailed explanation
Read the instructions and the F.A.Q Before installing the rom or posting a reply.
[FOR DEVS] If you want to use this as a base for other exynos7870 Phones. Please ask first, and provide proper credits and links to the original thread.
Any sort of File Kanging will be reported without hesitation.
So, First we brought you the First Oreo based ROM. and now its Android Pie. Due to the nature of this release, and the fact that it comes before any Exynos7870 Official Android Pie. there might be
some bugs that me and testers could not have found yet. so please report them. Some bugs will be listed below and most of them would be unfixable until official is out for more 7870 Phones
The J5/J7 OneUI official update is still around 4+ months away, so this rom should keep you guys busy.
I have also included pretty much all the features of previous Prometheus ROMs, but some are impossible due to Pie specific issues (Deodexing is not possible without great problems)
As the nature of these ports go, it was a non stop battle for almost 3 weeks straight to get it to this point where all features are working as expected. if you appreacite this work Hit the Thanks button, and consider a donation

This might not be that important.
Samsung Music app only plays music for around 9 seconds then closes the app. No Samsung Music app has stopped message, crashed or anything. It just goes to Home page after it closes.
When you don't play anything, the app doesn't close.

I dirty flashed without the app and flashed Sony Music through Magisk (Magisk module) and I don't have any issues with this music app.

A minor bug I presume.
Don't know how to share logs, I can learn how to if the developer thinks it's worth fixing.
Otherwise, I love this ROM so MUCH.

Installation steps
Make sure you have TWRP 3.x installed (download latest official from here, install instructions here)
Make sure your phone is charged to at least 70%.
Download the ROM, and transfer to your phone / external SD card if you have encryption active
Make sure OEM Unlock is on in developer settings
Boot the phone into TWRP
Do a FULL wipe: Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, System
- If you come from stock rom, probably encryption is active, you need to format data partition in twrp-wipe menu
Flash rom and boot (first boot can take 15-20 min)
uncheck diagnostic data in setting wizard
How about bugs?

Q: How to report bugs?
A: If you want to report a bug make sure you include:
-device variant / modem version / bootloader version / region
-detailed info about the encountered issue
-steps to reproduce the bug
-logs
Q: How to take logs?
A: Download Logcat Extreme and take a look at this.
Q: Phone is showing YYY model but my phone is ZZZ model, is that normal?
A: Yes, that is very normal and very intented. Do not change it or you will break features.
Q: How to revert back to Oreo?
A1: Download and flash the Oreo rom of choice.
A2: Download full stock Oreo firmware for your region and flash it with Odin v3.13.*.
Q: Why OEM toggle is missing in this rom?
A: I disabled it to be sure nobody gets locked by mistake.
Q: Magisk app not showing, what to do?
A: Download latest Magisk Manager from here and install as normal app.
Q: Installation failed, what to do now?
A: First of all make sure you have the official twrp. If the problem persists try to redownload the zip and/or select less things in Aroma installer. If you still have the problem, probably your device is not supported.
Q: TWRP can't mount data partition, what to do?
A: Make sure you formatted data partition if your previous rom was stock.
Q: Phone is not booting even after 20 minutes?
A: Try to reboot. If still not booting, make sure you formatted data partition if your previous rom was stock.
Q: How to format data partition?
A:
Q: Phone is asking to reboot because sim changed, what should i do?
A: Reboot once and see if it appears again. If yes reboot again.
Q: Phone asks to wipe data because operator changed, should i wipe?
A: Try to cancel and just reboot. If you can't do that or the popup still appear, reflash the rom and wipe in Aroma installer.
Q: GPS not finding my location, what to do?
A: Install GPS Test, enable location services from settings, go outside and wait for 20 minutes.

Hi there, here i am once again back with an update to YumiOS. This one is a pretty big update with some major bug fixes that make the ROM more appealing, increases stability and many other quality improvements.
There are still some bugs, notably NFC, which we're still trying to fix. Me and the testing team couldn't find any other bugs during testing.
With that said, i hope you enjoy this ROM. A lot of time has been spent on this ROM, so I'd appreciate a lot if you showed me some love by pressing the thanks button on the xda thread.
PLEASE make sure that you clean flash this build to avoid unwanted errors.

J7 prime has LCD and not amoled display, so it doesnt work
changing csc isnt legal afaik, but you can try to use a root file explorer and edit /efs/imei/mps_code.dat, then reflash the rom
try to enable and use magiskhide with MS authenticator

Using magiskhide does not work, even with the non-rotated device it does not work either. The application works with normal accounts, but when using the function of approving the login from the cell phone (one-time password) does not work, according to the application my device is not compatible.
I am currently using T.R.R Pure 10 and it works perfectly

Bluetooth calls doesnot work in my G610F
Otherwise the rom is very smooth and more better

Hi there, here i am once again back with an update to YumiOS. This one is a pretty big update with some major bug fixes that make the ROM more appealing, increases stability and many other quality improvements.
There are still some bugs, notably NFC, which we're still trying to fix. Me and the testing team couldn't find any other bugs during testing.
With that said, i hope you enjoy this ROM. A lot of time has been spent on this ROM, so I'd appreciate a lot if you showed me some love by pressing the thanks button on the xda thread.
PLEASE make sure that you clean flash this build to avoid unwanted errors.

Apps don't stay in background(ram), why?
For example every time i watch a video on youtube premium and pause it, switch to instagram to answer a message and opet youtube again i have to open the video again, very annoying..

but it happens with every app, when you swich to another app the previous one stays in the background for 10 seconds max. My play store updates stop, torrent stops downloading etc..

SIM Card doesn't works in J5 Pro. I try others ROMs with ANDROID 10 and happen the same thing :crying:

Do you aware about the following issues?,
1.- Fingerprint is not interact with apps, for example, on google play store if you set biometric authentication the playstore app force close but it works to unlock
2.- When you receive notifications the device doesn't wakeup, there's a workaround with an app (Glimpse Notifications)
I supposed that two issues are related to the ROM itself because in H-ROM S20 and A7 are present.

I was unable to install OrangeFox Recovery, which is linked on the first page, straight from TWRP. A dozen trials and I gave up.

Installed it succesfully, after trying to install magisk it was just saying "change of SIM card, restart", I restarted it and it just keeps looping in this error.
