very odd shutter sound bug - Nokia 7 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi,
I have really odd bug on my nokia 7 plus.
Whenever I press the shutter button under poor focus or low light conditions,
It sounds "Be-be-be-beep". and it's very annoying me.
I think this must be a software bug, because I can't hear this odd sound in beauty mode. (same condition)
I don't care shutter sound itself, but this shutter sound is really odd.
I already did factory reset and reset settings several times but nothing changed.
Of course, I'm also using google camera app, but I prefer to nokia camera's color and bokeh effect.
Does anyone have solution? Please give me some tips.
P.S. I can't make a link because I'm rookie here, you can find my video by searching "Nokia 7 plus bug" in youtube instead.

Camera sound

Hi,
I turned off the "shutter sound", but then I can hear a very short sound "deg" (very low "click" sound).
Do you hear that too?
Please if you can test it for me ....

could it be the hardware button sound effect? look in:
settings -> personal -> sounds & notifications
and see if Hardware buttons is checked.
No, it is not checked.

You might actually be hearing the auto focus mechanism? It is mechanical.
Don't reckon the tytn II is good upskirting kit lol!
ive noticed that the lag between pressing the camera button and the camera actually taking the picture is affected by whether or not the shutter sound is on
Thanks for the input, I think I can live with it ...
I just courious if you also hear that low click sound ... do you?
I hear it too. It's just the sound of the camera focusing.
the camera takes fast pictures once its focused. this auto focus was a good idea but pretty lame on such a low mega pixel cam. I much prefer the Hermes cam over this one personally

auto focus sound

the auto focus with i understand, dont work whem i continue to press the shutter buttom, don´t switcth to green..
But in this case the camera do a litle sound associated.
off course the sounds only can be audible when first i put off in the settings the shutter sound off
anyone know how these sound´s work? in other word´s the sound associated with auto focus?
thanks...
Not sure I fully understand what problem you are experiencing.
The only sound option I know of is associated with the shutter. As far as I am aware there is no sound associated with autofocus, nor can I see why you would want one.
Select where in the frame you want the autofocus to operate on, hit shutter release, and that's that!
Hope that helps.
little sound
maybe be a error im my model -t5353
but to be more simple, i´v noticed that would be a little sound when the auto focus be more dificult to work (in the dark, for example).
this sound was the tricky thing, only sounded sometimes!!
I try diferent configurations in the auto focus, but sometime i hear the sound, and sometime i don´t
i don´t know how to explain in other words...

[Q] Photos resolution after switching to front cam

I've been on vacation with my new s4 and I've noticed that half of my photos were at 1280x720 resolution on the main cam.
I've noticed it switched when I've accidentally switched to 2mp cam and switched back the resolution never came back to 8M.
Is there anything i can do on the camera app to make it remember proper resolution?
ps. Is there any way to silece the camera "shutter" sound?
I can't replicate your problem with resolution. Either I'm not following same route or it was fixed in MF5 that I'm running.
You can silence shutter sound by turning ringtown volume all the way down (off).

I't doesnt allways happen ill try to find proper steps to replicate this behaviour. As for volume it works as a zoom button and turning volume down prior to launching camera app does not elimitnate shutter of focus sounds .

Edit-note: It's only for ROOTed phones but...

There might be a solution for shutter sound. :fingers-crossed:Try installing Note 2 (sic) Hidden Settings (it works on my S4 Active i9295). There are many useful settings. One of them is "Add shutter sound menu" which adds item to settings menu in camera to turn it on an off. And there is also "CAMERA SHUTTER SOUND" which directly turns sound on and off.

Camera makes "tick" noise when i try to focus on any object!

Hi guys,
I have been facing this problem (i think) and i would like to know if its normal.
Autofocus works
Focusing is good and fast.
But when ever i touch to focus on something it makes a tiny rattling sound like (TICK) and then focuses on the object.
Its like the sound of a watch doing 1 second tick... Except its a bit louder.
Normally this happens in phones with OIS but PLAY doesnt have OIS...
Also if i tap the camera on the backside (slight tapping), it makes this noise which is easily audible. The same tick sound can be heard if i tap anywhere on the back panel of the phone.
Is this normal or should i take it to SVC?
P.S No noise when camera focuses on its own, the tick sound is only heard when i focus on any object and change from back cam to front cam.
I have the exact same issue
Hi
I've found myself in the exact same situation as this one. The camera in the honor play makes a "tick" noise as in a louder clock's ticking sound every time I manually refocus the camera. There's also the added noise of the above said sound when I tap on the back of the phone. If anyone has any update on this please share so I'd be at peace right now. Thanks.

noise in Pop up camera on k20 pro

I am bringing to notice about a wierd issue with the pop up camera on k20 pro.
Whenever i use the selfie camera ,it's quit and has a gearing sound which can't be heard if you don't listen to it closely and it's normal. But i was testing the fall detection feature of the pop up camera and there i noticed something wierd. Whenever i drop my phone and phone detects fall it retracts the camera as it is supposed to but after retracting it makes a sound which is something like gears jamming with each other. It is audible and doesn't sound normal.
Try it out guys and let me know if this happens with you too.
Perhaps it would be appropriate to indicate also which Rom you are using, on the PE there is a little issue with the frontal camera in switching between video / photo mode, that produce a noise same as yours, in MIUI 10 it works regularly.
Having same issue here
Can anyone is hearing a weird sound in the pop up camera?Just turn off the sound effects and then try to listen to it.Can you hear the same like mine ?
My popup camera produces the same noise.
Any solution? Thanks!
