Outdoor visibility (max brightness) - Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Real Life Review

Rate this thread to express how well you can see the Xiaomi Mi Max 3's display outdoors. In case you've been playing Minecraft for 18 months straight, you might not known how to get outside anymore. Well, find the door and walk through it. A higher rating indicates that it has very high maximum brightness and thus fantastic outdoor visibility in direct sunlight.

100% legible. With auto-brightness, it turns up the display power similar to how my Galaxy Note 8 would with extra saturation/punchy color.
It's easy to read at night at lowest brightness and outside at highest. Surprisingly powerful lcd display.

Yeah, when used outside (sunny weather) with max brightness its quite bad. Inside is ok.
Meh.....
Not that good
There must be some setting which caps maximum brightness, because in some chinese roms brightness is noticeably higher.

Much worse than you think. You need to stay under a tree to see something on the phone (especially in summer) with max brightness.

best display
with image burn-in problem.
It's very much visible, and you wouldn't have any issues seeing what's displayed outdoors in very bright sunlight with it at maximum brightness. However, there is extremely bad image retention at high brightnesses that occurs much more quickly than at lower brightnesses.

Not usable when it comes to outside lighting, it is not that bright.
The screen is still too dark.
But the phone does come with a light sensor that automatically adjusts the displays light when in different environments.
Yeap, brightness is not enough on sunlight. However, i cannot find exact NITs anywhere.

8/10. I haven't noticed any situations where I couldn't see the screen clearly due including when in direct sunlight. Running LinageOS (not stock software)
