Xiaomi Mi Mix Unlock Bootloader.

Hello. I know it is little bit late but for me this is something new. So finally I have Xiaomi Mi Mix. So I want to install Lineage OS and I read need to unlock bootloader. So I don't know should I need to use Mi Unlock app to unlock bootloader or just enable OEM unlock and I can flash custom twrp? For the moment I enable this feature in developer options.

Selling my Mi 8 - going back to stock

So I'm looking to sell my Mi 8. Originally bought the Chinese version, unlocked the bootloader and now have xiaomi.eu ROM. What's the best way to go stock and no root?
I'm assuming relocking the bootloader bricks the phone?
Flash the original fastboot rom with mi flash tool clean all and lock !

Camera2 api and Bootlloader Locked. Possible?

Hi everyone. I just want to ask if is possible to get Camera2 api feature in our Mi A2 (No lite version) with the bootloader locked and without Root. I had a Mi A1 Before and I remember that was possible to get that feature with a temp root and modifying the a file. Obviously I'm talking about keep the bootloader locked of course. I'm just asking cause I don't like the Warning Message related to Bootloader Unlock. I really appreciate if someone has the answer to my question. Thanks for the help.
You need bootloader unlocked. If you unlock the bootloader and enable gcam but then lock the bootloader again you will lose gcam support.

I bought a Xiaomi MI8 with MI Account bypass, they gave it to me with XiaomiEu v11.0.8 installed and with the bootloader open, and I want to install v12.0.1, could it be installed via recovery on top of v11 or is it necessary to do Wipe? And when doing the wipes I lose the bypass?

Question Change MIUI region version and lock bootloader

Hi,
I have a Chinese Mi 11 Ultra. I have used the Mi flash tool to flash the EU based version of the ROM but I did not lock the bootloader. This has brought in some problems, such as GPay not working, which I dont really mind but the Mcdonalds app with the coupons also wont start up.
I am wondering, if I get the EU miui13 fastboot rom (original from Xiaomi), and use the mi flash tool to flash it, can I also lock the bootloader? Will it be fine or will it brick the device?
I believe this answers your question: https://c.mi.com/thread-2584760-1-1.html
The TLDR is you can only lock bootloader in China devices if you flash the China ROM. Some people claim to have successfully flashed China ROMs on Glogal phones and locked the bootloader without any issues but you'd be taking a risk.

Hi, Thanks for the answer. Guess I cant lock the bootloader then. Do you know of anyway to get the services working that require a locked bootloader? Iirc it's to so with safetynet but I cant remember if it was possible to overcome this with magisk. I havent been on the rooting scene for a long time so I didnt follow any updates
