i am thinking to buy this beast so before buying it i want to know some answers. hope you guys will help me.
I want to know if gtalk client in note supports video/voice call?
also i want to know if video calling via 3g ( not the data plan but network where you dial ph no and make video call) is supported or not?
many peoples said that this device is kind of laggy.is it true?
between galaxy note and galaxy nexus which should i go for?
Any chance for getting support from cm9 on this device?

1. Gtalk does support video calling
2. You can have 3g video calling with note as long as your carrier support it, no internet connection is needed
3. About if note is laggy, people are debating all over the internet, in my own opinion, depends on you compare to what? like compare with galaxy s2. its a yes then.
If you compare to HTC sensation, no its not. I've heard the future patches will improve the performance but can't say for sure now. Anyway note is an awesome phone.some minor slow down not really a dealbreaker
4. Its obvious. You are in note board. What else we would recommend? if you can handle a 5.3" massive screen then note it is. Or else you get the galaxy nexus
5. Note is getting more and more popular, samsung just stated they already shipped one million notes, I am no cyanogen devs but I cant see why not they are not supporting a popular phone in cm9

It won't happen, at least the Note5 is already dead. Maybe the S7 could get it but our Note5 is already 2 years old, Planned Obsolescence means that if we want the new UI: Buy a new phone or Modify it.

Reading this forum it seems most of us desire a custom ROM for the Note 10 Lite but developers don't seem to be interested.
This is of course their prerogative, but if there is enough support perhaps we can persuade somebody to work on it for us since our group skill set seems to be limited to rooting (which is still a great achievement).
I, for one, would be happy to contribute funds towards the development of a custom ROM along the lines of LineageOS (or otherwise) currently available for the Note 10 and Note 10+.
Obviously the reason many of us chose this phone was due to the lower price and so we can't be expected to pay top dollar individually. But if there is enough interest from enough people in this group maybe our combined funds could persuade a developer to work on a custom ROM for us.
1. Anybody else willing to contribute?
2. Anybody know a developer that way inclined?
3. Ideas on a ballpark figure?

Any guides on how to do this maybe on other Exynos devices?? I really wanna try it to get dex from a Note 9 rom.

Hi any news around the world about a new ROM?
Thinking about changing for another phone more customisable.
The developer I was in contact with has moved on to another device. Not sure if he will be doing anything. He is also very busy with family and work. Wish I had more info. I did speak with him recently but it was about another device..sorry.

So, let me clarify stuff for you guys.
It won't be possible (for now) to port anything to note10 lite since samsung added vbmeta blocks on almost all partitions in n10l.
That being said, it's impossible to have twrp or any custom rom until samsung removes those blocks.
Keep waiting, maybe someday that will be possible, but it's not for now.
DEX or HDMI support, is the most important feature for a DEVELOPER TO CREATE FOR NOTE 10LITE!Hardware wise is capable, but SOFTWARE is not permitting this feature. I hope that a DEVELOPER will be so kind to HELP on that!!!
And propably a valid twrp version to flash it!
