Mi8 SE sensors not working - Xiaomi Mi 8 SE Questions & Answers

Hi everyone, please help! (SOLVED)
I am on Xiaomi.eu MIUI 10 8.8.16, i thougt it was 8.8.3 bug but it is same on 8.8.16, none of sensors is working, as example gyroscope, rotation is not working, seems to be light sensor problem... Can it be OS problem or hardware? How to troubleshoot?
Phone is from Ali so i am not sure will i be able to return it if it is hardware fault or even because i flashed Xiaomi.eu ROM.
Please help! Thank you!

They can't cause bs for flashing Xiaomi.eu roms, if I got this right, your bootloader was unlocked when you got it?
You can try asking the seller for help, try flashing a GSI or get someone's boot and vendor TWRP backup.

Your persist partition is corrupt. I had the same problem, fixed it by using a friend's TWRP backup of their persist partition. You should ask your seller for help with reflashing your phone back to stock MIUI.

@PravAndroidGeek yes, it was persist, i downloaded original China fastboot ROM and flashed persist from there, sensors recovered.

Is it really safe to flash this via twrp with unlocked bootloader? i just bricked it with the new released global beta :/
edit: did the bootloader unlock with this, not the official way!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/unlock-instruction-unlock-bootloader-t3355904
It says: “DON'T FLASH MIUI RECOVERY ZIP ROM VIA TWRP after unlocking bootloader. IT HAS
STOCK BOOTLOADER AND IT WILL BE RELOCK BOOTLOADER AND THEN BOOTLOOP . Only use
Fastboot ROM and that too replace the unlocked bootloader file.
And this exactly happened to me :E
Thanks!

I was wondering if there is a cracked boot.img for the new Global ROM(update) 7.2.3.0.
I am running Global 7.1.8.0 , unlocked, rooted with TWRP. I would like to flash the update but I cannot find a cracked boot.img
I am really hoping this 7.2.3.0 will solve my network issues
Thanks!
I found the following thread on the MIUI Homepage. I flashed two ROM's successfully by following the instructions written in this thread. Read everything carefully and your phone will not brick.
Here is the link:
http://en.miui.com/thread-256464-1-1.html
@admin: I hope it is allowed to post the adress here!?
This rom is not at all stable, dont migrate to it, first of all the A72 cores are always running at 1.8 mhz, which is heating cpu and draining battery, restarts solves it but it happens again, the whole rom is quite laggy, fingerprint applock doesnt work properly, when you open a app through fp and close it, the app doesnt get relock, no password prompts from next time, once you reboot after the rom is flashed, the recent button automatically changes to menu button. Only one improvement is the camera quality in low light
Special thanks to you man
I have flashed this ROM , its So nice and Stable , everything is working amazingly , thanks a ton , my phone unbricked finally with this ROM , Great Post :good:

You should try to fastboot flash via MiFlash a Global Developer, check the signatures then try to flash TWRP and everything else.
Mi flashing en.miui.com global beta nougat ROM would fix this issue, another method would be to wait for the next miui update and flash that im TWRP

I think that a thorough deep clean with a Fastboot flash will do only good. I would avoid TWRP flashes in this particular case.

Next miui update from xiaomi should. But yes go download miflash and flash the official beta rom from en.miui.com, backup your whole sdcard/data partition onto your computer
It's not the first time that me and others are suggesting to @puhu to fastboot flash, but he keeps flashing stuff through TWRP by a lot of time.
Phones sometimes must be restored otherwise you'll encounter only troubles.

why keep asking about those hardware tests
those are only for securety purposes (modified boot.img checks and so on)
If we miss N sources it's normal that it could lead to some test failed
if you flash normally through twrp miui 7.1.19 and then flash a kernel with AnyKernel2 zip that DOES NOT modify boot.img, signatures check are okay!
so please, stop

Did you flashed it in Redmi 8?
It reboots properly and I am using it. No problem found so far. I rebooted to fastboot and miui recovery to check if they are still ok or not. They are ok and fine.
But I am concern that if it is fully ok or not. I mean if something is invisibly broken or not. I found other posts in xda with similar error and that says OK. Those posts were related to Redmi k20. I still posted again whether is it ok for redmi 8 olive or not.
And another bugs me that i flashed miui global fastboot rom before in my same redmi 8(olive) but I can't remember whether that error showed or not.
Thank You.

Actually, there is no error there. In the options below, it gave an error message saying that it did not lock the device because you did not click "clean all and lock". Your device's bootloader lock is still open. It states that there.
I just got this error too, I was downgrading from 11.0.1.0 (Android 10) to 11.0.7.0 (Android 9) on an European Redmi 8 4/64 olive_eea.
Don't worry, the phone booted up fine, it is a first boot after flashing a fastboot rom so it took a few minutes.
have the same error. what's the solution? i want to flash stock miui 12 from pixel experience plus.

The solution for me was to ignore the error, the phone booted up fine after that, does it not boot after flash up for you?
Keep in mind that a first boot after flash can take up to 5-15 minutes.
For my Redmi note 8 workaround to MiFlash error was:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...lock-flash-is-not-done.4009145/#post-81024993

General MiuiMix it's on it's way! And it's a recovery ROM.

@ingbrzy if you won't do it , someone else will.

Question Mi 11 Ultra TWRP update problem

Hi All,

Stock firmware dosent flash on twrp.
Not for the Mi 11 Ultra
Updating dosen’t work but ive heard of xiaomi.eu ROMs flashing without fail but they are custom so wait till a custom recovery like Orangefox etc comes up with Stock Miui OTA support
Wait have you tried clearing the cache then doing it.
And when you first installed twrp did you clean install xiaomi.eu rom?

Normally when you install TWRP, there is no need to clean install the rom!
If you want OTA updates you do i guess.
Yes I have done it on my redmi 7A before. But I never achieved OTA updates. Only maybe flashing manual recovery updates zips

LMAO, ive had experience with this
Updating with the basic twrp without support for miui components is flawed.
Ive tried many times to update it, Xiaomi.eu is based on miui.
Yeah it could be corrupted, but have you considered that he would've redownloaded it first rather than come here.
You know what they say about assume. The jpg. From TWRP showing the error, shows that it isn't a stock rom.

Clearing cache worked flawlessly! Thanks, I've been struggling with that update via twrp since two days... Earlier only fastboot was available for my Mi 11 Ultra... One more thing, for me TeamWin twrp not worked, however the Skkk version did.
