Stuck battery temperature - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

Anyone having this problem? My battery is constantly stuck at 42°C, kinda worries me. Could it be caused by dropping the phone and having the sensors messed up? Dropped my device 3 times already
All 3 are short drops tho.

I play Asphalt 9, 36°C

It shouldn't be dangerous, just a software problem.

Yes, my old phone does hit 42°c, I know what 42°c feels like. Safe to say that the mi A2 never hits that temperature at all under normal conditions. Only time my mi A2 felt over 40°c was when I was driving home with Google maps, under the tropical heat of Malaysia.

May be you will have to wait for couple of charge-discharge cycles to see the actual battery backup/life..
Seems like u have a wakelock issue.
Can you take a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1878828 and see if it helps you?

I am planning an upgrade to 5.1.1 from 4.4.4. Worried about your report. Do you know what is causing the wakelocks - is it Facebook? Because if that is the case, I do not keep Facebook anyway so no problem for me.

Idk what it is but I doubt its Facebook.
Wakelock detectors say its RILJ which stands for Radio Interface Layer... J...
I ran down some leads but the trail went cold. Just waiting on inspiration before tackling the issue again l.
I would suggest upgrading to 5.0 since my batt life was phenomenal there but thats just my experience. Good luck!

This probably could be the mobile radio active bug which was discussed a lot. I have not read much about it as I did not plan to upgrade hoping that we MIGHT get Marshmallow. Now that it has been ruled out, thinking of going to Lollipop.

No idea.
Also original Z series and Z1 are left out of Marshmallow. Check Sony announcement regarding this.

install xposed. there is a module to fix that
I have upgraded to 5.1.1 and rooted. I have Greenify running, no Facebook. (Xposed not installed yet).
Battery life is better or at least equivalent to KitKat.

p9 heat even when not in use

Hi my p9 is heating up when I am not in use and my battery drain very quickly. I know that EMUI is quite a heavy UI but my main concern is that when I put my phone in my bag and do some sports my phone is hot AF. Im scared that it explodes like a note 7 :crying:
any views on that?
Thanks

If you're used to the cooler temperatures of Samsung displays, then yes it can appear warm/yellow. It's been rated at 6610k white balance while Samsung's S10 is 7102k in vivid.

Yeah, I use it. I think it mitigates the screen tint issue pretty perfectly and makes the display look a bit more professional/polished.

Hi, I'm in the same situation but I think that my battery life is much shorter now. It barely last one day now. My rom is MIUI Global 13.0.3 Stable. I didn't want to customize it, I'll try to hard reset and if I wont notice any change I thnk I'm going to downgrade or something else
