Hey guys. I rolled back to 8.1.1 from build 10080 yesterday. Its just too buggy for me, as is understandable. It is a preview build anyway. However, I would like to have 8.1.2, which has already RTM'd, as the new Lumia 640 ships with it. I installed and enabled the preview for developers app, but it seems that they're not using that to ship out new final builds anymore.
I know that there was a way to get Lumia 930 to get update 2 through the Insider app, but that never actually worked with the Icon. Does anyone have a way to do it, such as cab files or the like?

Yet, it is well mentioned Lumia Icon, hence its device is not the Lumia 930
This implies that he can't flash an ROM of another product type that hers (his is RM-927). That means he can not flash the ROM that you told him, since from another product type (RM-1045).

this works fine ,, remember to uninstall windows insider as soon as you start downloading your new update .. and to stop automatic update Before doing the beta so if it didn't work you don't have to install Win10 TP

Please do not preload Cheetah Mobile software or at the very least make it fully removable. Many of your customers hate their apps, so please do not torture us with their presence as system apps.
Personally, I did not know that CM apps would be preloaded, and had I known, I very well may have gone with a competitor. I think you've done very well with your Zenfone line's hardware and pricing. If you reconsidered some your business relationships *cough cheetah mobile* and put some real focus on improving ZenUI, I believe you would truly be doing something great with Android.
Keep up the good work. The development community and your customers appreciate it.

yes, you may do it.
I will recommend wipe userdata, clear cache, install update.
This version have heating issue.
cpu temperature varies from 45 to 65 just using wi fi.a

Thanks for info . I am not going to update. This device did not heat at all on normal working with pervious version. And it is super stable with that version.

On the bright side, the phone seems to be much more responsive now. The Wi-Fi and cellular network bars are always full (was about 2 bars before the update). I have not tested the sound yet, but going by the keyboard sounds, it does seem to be louder than usual.

Recording calls is against the law in most countries. Only Chinese version of emui 4 and 5 have record option.
It's possible to extract it and flash via TWRP though.

That version from halabtech is for cust C10 (Russia). I won't flash that one because it's not a Funky Huawei modified firmware so it can be used on C431/C432 custs, it's Huawei service one.
I would wait for the C432 version to be available if i was you and if i had C431/C432 as cust. Just saying

Hehehe, that's a good question. I think that all who paid for their services should ask for refund, because they are way back with firmwares for P30 Pro. I myself have v193 on my VOG-L29C431 flashed using this method, so NO THANKS Funky Huawei ?

For me, the battery is much better then it was on v185 (i can compare it with v168, which has the best SOT and usage drain). As for the selfie camera, beside the Night Mode (which is basically a white interface and maximum light when taking a picture with front camera, see my SS attached) i don't see any improvements.

LOL, is that all the front camera Night Mode is? That was already available! I thought they would apply some of the post processing magic in software.

Yeah, maybe we're more lucky with EMUI 10. They definetly have to improve the algorithms for selfie camera. The front facing camera from Mate 10 Pro is way more better than P30 Pro .

The whole experience across the board everything including the camera has improved. It is literally like getting a new phone. This is a killer value phone now. Picked mine off eBay open box for 280 bucks and after this update it's a hard phone to beat for this price point.

Seems like it, the 60fps mode on 4k seems to be way better now.
The update caused my Google Pay to no longer work. The app cites that my phone may be rooted or using unofficial software. Other than that everything is quite an improvement.
What about OTAs now? Will they still work when sprint releases them?

No why would an update unlock an IMEI? IMEI number stays the same no matter the update and even v40 sim doesn't get unlocked if you flash a custom rom
