I've been using mine on holiday in Bali and have not experienced this once. Maybe a fault with maps.
Do you have high accuracy enabled in location options?

GPS Fix problems

Hi,
I've been having problem for some time with GPS and Google Navigator: after a while the navigator looses the GPS fix and never regains it. The odd thing is that I have no problem with Waze.
Do you have any clue of what could be the problem and how to fix it?
I have a stock ROM and the phone is not rooted.
Thanks
A-GPS update ?
Have you tried any apps like "GPS Status & Toolbox" from the play store to force update/reset your A-GPS data ? It might sound dumb ...

[Q] GPS Issues

Hi All,
I've just today got a new HTC One from 3.
Now the issue I've got is nothing wrong with network coverage, its actually the GPS performance, or lack of it.
I'm using GPS test, it can see about 14 satellites but will not lock on and use any of them?
Has anyone had this experience before?
Thanks.

I will also add something to this. The program GPS Status is constantly trying to "Looking for GPS Location" and it never gets a fix. I have 21 sats that it can see, but always fix is on 0.
If anyone could help that would be great.
Thanks.

Never mind... I was being a douch. Was inside on the 3rd floor with 10 other floors above me. When I got outside it was able to get a fix. Still strange though that it can see the satellites inside but can not get a fix on them? Or am I just not getting the point?

Go into settings-location access and turn on and click every option also leaving WiFi turned on helps improve accuracy also .

this may help you https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.fastergps&hl=de
https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdfilter=fas&fdid=org.fastergps
Just open "/etc/gps.conf" and edit "NTP_SERVER". For me its "NTP_SERVER=de.pool.ntp.org", i'm from germany, just google whats the best NTP-Server-Pool for your country.
I don't have a problem with the lock time but with the longitude and latitude accuracy..I am using google navigation and nDrive but it shows me next to the road I drive and sometimes in a different street next to it.

Huawei g750 GPS problems

Hey guys,
Im new posting here, I have an Huawei g750 u10 converted to t00 with a kitkat rom, but I'm becoming crazy because the GPS. When I use an app like GPS Test or GPS lock my phone after some seconds (on the street) can find some satellites and then lock with them, but when I open another app (like Google Maps) it just looses the signal of the satellites. If I open again GPS Test or GPS Lock it fixes again and then looses the signal on Google Maps, and over and over. I tried to find gps.conf file and there's any. I tried to create one and it doesn't let me (permission denied)... I don't know what to do anymore!
Any help?
Anyone?

So you flashed a different ROM to your device? Most likely that's what broke it. Return your device to stock and see if that fixes it. Unless I'm misunderstanding you...

Anyone got problem with GPS for a tencent version with global rom?

My rog phone 2 tencent version with a global rom and fingerprint. Apparently the GPS is not working at all. Google maps and other apps not detecting any location at all.
Anyone got the same problem or solution?
thanks in advance
Works fine for me, not sure what would cause that. Do you have "Use location" on in privacy settings?

Yep. Checked all options about gps. Actually after waiting so long, the gps worked but really slow to lock the location.

No problems here and it locks on quickly - even indoors. Around 50 satellites in view and 20 in use according to GPS Test.

Thx for info pal, hope it will get better after another firmware update here ?
Have the same problem
I noticed also a problem with GPS locking, the problem persist also with the Android 10 beta rom i uodated like 2 weeks ago. Interresting fact is, i only get this when using Waze, either on the phone or through Android Auto, with Google Maps for example i working flawlessly. The only fix i got is installing an app called GPS Lock, which apparently forces the phone to lock on the satellites, but it's quite a battery consumer though. Hope also for a fix in future updates.
I happen to encounter this a lot especially when I travel. Download and install the app ''GPS Status & Toolbox" then turn off Wi-Fi. Once your Wi-Fi is turned off, open the app and that should fix it.
I had the same issue. Can see gps satellite but can't lock onto them. It was my metal bumper casing. Wasted my whole day testing things out.
Anyone figured out a solution to this ?
I'm having this issue as well. I'm using the global version btw. Hope someone posts a solution for this.
