do you mean if I install t mobile firmware via odin, that will make it work without any problems?

I think the bootloader is different for a non-US model, even if it is Qualcomm and thus ODIN will fail to flash the firmware for a different model. You may be out of luck on this one I feel, but maybe someone else has a way to get around this without root.

This.
However i dont know if prince comesy odin would flash this or not.
Im leaning towards it would allow the flash but i dont know if the firmwares are cross compatible different device models so likely not.
Try at your own risk.
sent from my Exynos S9 plus, Pixel 2 XL or Note FE

I had done this on my international G965F S9+ and patched ODIN would let me flash it successfully, but the phone won't boot due to some "mismatch" error because of the some security checks Samsung put into Bootloader so you can only run matching CSC, Modem, AP files.
SMH...how much effort they put to restrict users from rooting and customizing their phone...so much for openness they had promised once when they hired the Cyanogen guy....

i bought it from South Korea, the 256Gb unlocked version. Now just trying to debrand it.
If you're worried about bloat, I'd suggest BK Disabler from the PlayStore or if you are more comfortable, ADB.
Alternately, I am inclined to agree with @henklbr; a F branded Note would give you root and less bloat.
Not sure where you guys got that idea, it is quite possible to flash different firmware between similar models. You can indeed flash different CSC as well, assuming it is ported for the new phone so that the flash doesn't mess up any partiotions.
Please don't spread misinformation just because you don't know how things work or how to do something.

i'm in a similar boat. I bought the N950N Korean variant 256gb model but i live in australia and they werent selling that variant here. I dont have positive hopes though since that rom is for 64gb models im not sure if it will mess the partitions for my 256gb model. it will be interesting to know if anyone has been successful before

Looking for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Official Stock AT&T Rom for my unlocked phone

I bought a Note 9 from Amazon I thought it was an official AT&T phone but it is the unlocked version. My unlocked version does not support a number of AT&T's features I would like to have access too. I have read how to flash the Rom and I know how to do it. I downloaded a Rom which I thought was the AT&T stock rom but it was actually the same Rom I had the unlocked version. So when I flashed it it was the same as before. I think it is possible it flash the phone so that it is like I bought it from AT&T. I have seen people do this on youtube with their Galaxy note 10's. I am unable to find the Official Stock Rom or maybe I have and am unsure if it is the official one. So if anyone knows where I can get the dang official Rom so I can flash my unlocked phone and turn it into an official AT&T phone that would really help me. Thank you very much.

SM-N96OU1
My Baseband Version is

in fact that DID answer your question.
in sammobile, you could find your "carrier" rom version as you want, which is U, not U1 (unlock version).
then use samfirm or frija to download the rom with max speed.

So If I want to flash it too the official AT&T I should look for SM-N96OU instead of SM-N96OU1, correct? I am nervous about bricking the phone. I have read that the AT&T version and the unlocked phones are exactly the same they just have different firmware. Is this true?

I'm looking to convert my SM-N960U1 (unlocked) to the AT&T version as well. I'm seeing the following as the lastest firmware I should be downloading to convert to AT&T. Can anyone verify this because the N960U does not have AT&T firmware available?
...firmware/SM-N960U1/ATT/download/N960U1UEU4DTC7/335086/
All the U firmware is the same. If you have At&t sim you can flash any Note 9 U firmware and it will provision to your sim. If you are coming from U1 you will need to do a factory wipe. Was your device purchased as unlocked or was it U?....
Oops never mind I see its unlocked.

For some reason i feel that Sammobile its more about selling firmware software to buyers of samsung instead of helping people take the best out of their phones. Some of use pay over the 1000 dollar for a phone and dont get easy help while samsung should atleast give us the freedom to get the firmwares for our devices for free. Sam mobile has ablot of information on their website, but ofcourse nothing for free. Even signing up their websites is an issue, and to get support thats another issue. So i most say Sam mobile its all about selling Samsung software, while you and me who buy the phones, not sammobile! Resell it back to us. Seriously its discrimination in my eyes. Maybe am wrong, but thats how i feel about. Now i dont know what business relation sammobile has with samsung, but i know the founder is not a. Chinese, but a Holland guy. Thank u.

Can you flash SM-A716U (T-Mobile US) firmware on the SM-A715F/DS via Odin?

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone knows whether it is possible to flash the T-Mobile US SM-A716U firmware on the SM-A715F/DS device. Will Odin allow it? Will the device function? As far as I can tell, the chipset is the same, but I wonder how it would affect functions like Dual SIM. (The T-Mobile firmware also has support for 5G, which may not be supported on the SM-A715F/DS.)
Does anyone know what could happen, or if it works? Are there any negative consequences, and could someone explain if the bootloader needs to be unlocked or anything? Ideally, I'd like to get that SM-A716U firmware loaded in the SM-A715, but want to keep everything as stock as possible. I'm also not terribly familiar with Odin., so I'm not sure if the software allows flashing a firmware intended for a different device variant.
Thanks in advance!

You SHOULD receive Tmobile updates once you're on Tmobile firmware and network but I don't think it's something that can be guaranteed. Your Primary CSC can't be changed to TMO and therin lies the problem. In the last couple of years Samsung has complicated firmware and CSC transitions on it's numerous array of devices. Lots of potential users lean to an unlocked device thinking they'll have more freedom of choice but it won't always end up as a benefit. I always recommend buying your service provider's device for full functionality but it doesn't always work out since some users tend to swap service provider's on a regular basis.
I'm on T-mobile's network, month to month, no long term commitment which adds flexibility but even being on their network I didn't aquire their Branded Device. I have the Hong Kong SM-G9980 variant. I couldn't care less about 5G, to me it's the biggest marketing scam since light beer. The only other feature I lose is Carrier Aggregation which much like 5G enables faster download speeds. I can easily have my laptop handle this and transfer files or data to my device. So there's no carrier bloatware, the bootloader is unlocked, I get updates from Samsung typically sooner than US devices and still have Wi-Fi Calling and VoLTE via Tmobile. Most users don't do much research to define which device is best suited for their needs. "I got this great deal on an S21 Ultra but..." We can point the finger at Samsung as well, way too many variants leads to a lot of problems.

Question sm-920x firmware

Is there a way to download the firmware for these? I am looking at using odin to flash this demo model I got my hands on. Any help is appreciated
It's highly unlikely you will be able to do this. There is probably hardware differences and maybe even some hardware components omitted completely. I've previously heard about some demo smart watches not have GPS hardware in them for example.
I'd be surprised if you didn't get an error when attempting to flash commercial firmware.
I've provided firmware to someone before, who flashes it on demo models. I'd have to try and find the conversation though, as I don't recall the details offhand
