Edge Lighting - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

Dear All,
Before i purchase i want to know , how to change the edge lighting as per the third party application themes (Facebook-Blue,Whatsapp-Green....Etc,,,,)
when i used the device with installed application you cannot change the colors for specific application, which make all the application same edge lighting color. (seems to be sad to me)
Please guys help me out!
Thanks

Settings > Display > Edge screen > Edge lighting > Edge lighting style > Color > App color
Kinda buried, but there it is.
Edit: Also know that you can change the color. It defaults to the primary color of the app icon. For instance, Outlook is blue by default but I changed it to orange because my company logo is orange.

how to edit gamma settings?

Hi,
I am using ParanoidAndroid ICS rom, Everything is superb apart from the black clipping screen. Of course I only notice the black clipping in a dark room, whereas in daylight the screen seems perfect.
In the PA rom under settings > Advanced > Screen > there is screen gamma but i can not edit it or even choose it. I'm assuming its been disabled, is there a way to enable this so I can edit the gamma settings or is there an alternative way to edit gamma settings. if there is, can anyone please share it.
Thanks in advance.

Its not working on PA but there is an option of Outdoor Mode which makes it little bit higher.

[Q] Over Saturated Screen Color, Any fix?

Does anyone find the fix for the over saturated Moto-X amoled screen?
Open this link from your browser in your PC and compare it with your mobile browser: #0099cc Color Hex #09C
Even though I understand that many people prefer the "more vibrant" color, my biggest problem is that these colors are fake.
They are not representing the actual color.
I have tried to use app like "Screen Adjuster" and "Filter Your Screen", but they merely superimposed another color filter to the existing color instead of fixing the original screen settings.
Please help, Thank you,
WP
It's the nature of AMOLED screens.
I use an app called Lux to help mitigate this a little as it allows more customization of the backlight than stock.

I have tried Lux, and I dont seem to be able to 'correct' the color.
Do you mind share your settings info? Thanks

It doesn't correct anything, just allows for finer control of the backlight depending on lighting conditions - making the colors seem less vivid.
Other than experimenting with the backlight level, the only customization I chose was selecting the "fluourescent" color temp in night mode.

Screen Calibration for Colors

Is it possible to change the screen color calibration other than just changing from Dynamic to movie / professional modes?
The biggest thing that bothers me about the Note 3 is that whites appear a cool blue, and not white especially on web pages and Facebook. Is this something that is possible to fix with a calibration or kernel or something?
There was a kernel for the galaxy s3, note 2 and s4 that had a very deep settings menu for color calibration (perseus kernel), but it only worked on exynos based devices, the dev said it was not possible for him to do the same thing on the ones with snapdragon because of a driver issue.. I will wait sit for this, at least you have a cool screen, mine is green and horrible. Let me suggest "filter my screen" on the play store , its just a filter, and it ruins pure blacks, but with it on the whites are decent now.
Thanks. Does anyone know anything else that may work?
Open the settings menu, tap the device tab and scroll down to accessibility. Turn on "color adjustment". Now you are suppose to tap the color box that closest represents the box shown. You can repeat this process over by pressing menu.

[Q] Notification light

Hello everyone. I'm planning on buying the XZ1C for my wife and she's very picky about the notification light. Can anyone share photos of the notification light and customization options? (like colours, ability to customize options by app, etc). Thank you very much in advance.
There isn't a configuration page for notifcation colours.
Some apps let you choose the colour, like Whatsapp and Telegram.
Your best option is an app like Lightflow, which lets you change and assign colours per app and has good reviews.

White balance settings S20 FE Exynos

Hello everyone,so yesterday i recieved my new S20FE from my service provider. At first glance it seems to be a decent device. Anyway, while setting up the phone,i found that the "white balance" controls under the display settings, dont appear to be changing any colour aspects of my screen at all. No matter how i adjust the Red,Green and Blue control sliders, the the screen remains exactly the same.
Am i doing something wrong,or have i missed something? When compared to my Sony Xperia XZ2 which also has white balance controls that actually work,i may add. The Samsungs screen appears very dull and the whites are more of a cream tone than actual white, which frustrates me. Has anyone else had issues with the colour adjustment on their S20FE and is there a way to get my whites from cream to actual white?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
@Trace.Oneil I have the 5G snapdragon version and tested Vivid screen mode today. it was so garish that had to try adjusting the RGB values underneath. that too made ZERO DIFFERENCE on my phone.
I quickly went back to natural.
PS, I can't remember much about it but I've heard there's a 3rd screen mode that's hidden and can be activated with ADB. maybe look that up.
How to Enable Hidden Screen Modes in Samsung Galaxy S20 (Natural, Vivid, Cinema, Photo and Basic) - Techtrickz

Thanks,i actually found that online and gave it a try. Although there are some differences between the modes, the RGB sliders still dont work with any of them so you cant fine-tune your screen to your preferred colour settings which is a total waste. Why even include it in the software build if it does'nt work.
I was wondering if the other modes take too much power and that's why they were hidden.
maybe that could apply to the slider ?

I doubt it would be a power issue. The mode to me that is the most intense with colour,is Vivid and that is not hidden. I think Samsung forgot about the RGB settings to be honest, and that is probably why they dont work.
