Doesn't work. It's either greyed out or just switching off itself. I think it was changed from 7.0 for some reason...

no one knows ????
you're going to have to be a little more specific..........how do you mean disappear? and when does it happen? any other side affects (have to reboot to "make it reappear") ?

I mean sometimes I can change wallpapers through gallery and i see my stuff... then like an hour or two later there's nothing there -- it doesn't detect my SD card hence it "disappears"
I have to reboot about 5 times a day to get it back
what does it say when you open up gallery? when i had an issue with mine, it would say "no sd card" or something to that affect.
or does yours just not show any pictures?
edit: is this your external sdcard or your internal one?

Internal SD
It says "no items" when I open up gallery
have you tried flashing a new rom? or possibly do you have a app killer that might be killing some services?

install this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8174375&postcount=60
next time you get the error
run that app
if that still doesn't help
make sure you have no file called .nomedia in the gallery folder or the root of your internal SD

I can't use astro to search b/c it says nothing is there.
I am not rooted -- what's the easiest way to root a bell i9000m ? I recall reading you need a special update.zip -- anyone know ? or perhaps a good app?

woah.. no need for any of that
just what you said already answered another question without asking.
just find your invoice, take it back to the store, and have them replace the phone, that phone obviously have a defective internal SD

if i plug in my phone usb cable in Kies mode
i can still access the Internal and External SD cards in the phone
also in the PC
i find this the most convenient
when using it with the USB Debugging method ON, then i have to manually MOUNT the SD cards for them to work on the PC
but i lose access to the internal SD and External SD when i do that.
that is the NORMAL behavior

[Q] Move to SD - missing

Hello,
I did unroot my dev, enabled developer options but still there is no option to move application to external SD card.
My sd card is FAT32 formatted Class10 Sandisk 64GB.

Any idea how to enable this?

I want to move / install application into SD card.
I have another tablet 4.0.3 and that option is there also I saw on the net (different tablet models) info about this option being enabled when developer options are enabled.
Although some one mentioned that asus hide this option on transformers..
To sum up ... how to install app on SD? Maybe mount folder option (will try that next)

The tf701 stock ROM does not offer that.
You can try titanium backup (when rooted) and there are some apps in playstore that offer that.

Moving apps to SD

Anyone actually able to move programs to the ext SD card? Ive tried the App2SDIII program but although i get listed apps that support moving, when i click on them and i get into the menu context, there is no moving option at all.
On the other hand it works great on my Xperia L rooted, running on 4.2

Memory Card (SD Card) Unusable After EMUI 9 Update

Anyone having problem with the external memory after update. Mine whatsapp & wechat not able to load photos when default storage location set to memory card. Everything is ok after the default memory changed back to internal memory. But still cannot select the photos that store in memory card when want to send photo via Whatsapp & Wechat. I've checked the SD cards is working fine and can explore & open the photo via gallery and files app.
I find out that the photo transfer to PC via USB media connection did not show external memory too. Anyone having similar problem and resolution to solve this problem?
Same here. Right after the Update to EMUI9.

SAME! Exactly after the update i noticed that my phone wouldnt save or download files to my sd card. it keeps saying that it's full which is absolutely not true! I tried formatting the sd card, wiped everything and i still got the same message. This is very frustrating
Same with mine. Upon checking the details of the files I have on my sd card(through file manager) the path says Network neighbourhood/, while the files I have on the internal memory shows correct file path.
Try this: Open "Files" app, update it to latest version. Worked for me.

Yes. It is the only temporary solution to temporary fix it. The problem will re-appear when phone restart. Need to re-apply the method again.
Try resetting your phone. That may resolve the issue.
After updating the Android Version via update it's generally a good idea to reset.

Sure. What everyone wants. For an issue to no longer persist.
Just got a patch update today specifically to resolve this issue. It seems to be working now even after a restart the sd card is still there.
