You can't rebrand (but you could brick) just by flashing c432 build.
Maybe you can do it by HWOTA7 (advantage, no need to go back to MM), similarly as explained in posts #1 and #2 (you can directly ask in the thread would it work, maybe you can escape c432 ang go directly to AL10b399 etc)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rebrand-update-tool-hwota7-p9-eva-t3820849
But for sure you can rebrand to c432 by rolling back to MM (and then you will receive OTA updates for c432 for Nougat)

Hi
Sorry for my late answer. HWOTA7 is primarily for rebranding on Android 7 without having to downgrade to Android 6.
A) Just read first Post 1: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rebrand-update-tool-hwota7-p9-eva-t3820849/
B) Follow the Guide from Post 2 - STEPS 0-10 (11 and 12 are only required, if something went wrong in step 10) - but in Step 8 you must choose the oeminfo for your needs (in your case L09c432) and of course, you must have the Firmware for the new oeminfo in the update folder!
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77161313&postcount=2
I would recommend to use b504 for EVA-L09c432 for now, because it is currently approved

No, it doesn't contain any personal information on Android 7 and Android 6 - only on new devices with Android 8 oeminfo include IMEI.
That's why it's not possible on Android 8 to change location by changing oeminfo...

@miksly Would you please zip your oeminfo Backup and upload it for me (I would integrate into HWOTA7) , thanks

P9PLUS VIE-C900B174 help to get updates

Hi everybody, few months ago I bought this phone second hand, and since than, I didn't receive any software update. Now I was waiting Nougat, but I realized reading around, that, with the version I have now I won't get any OTA (probably the previous guy did something) Now my question is, how I can fix it? I have no idea if my phone is brand or not. Can I put a different version on it? i'm new to modding world, so I would really appreciate if somebody could help me with this, step by step. Thanks in advance!
Hello! The first thing you need to do is enter in "manufacturer mode" so you can see wich OEMINFO (zone of the phone. Could be Europe, China, LA....) you have.
You must dial in your phone * # * # 2 8 4 6 5 7 9 # * # *
· Option 3. Network Information Query and then
· Option 4. Vendor Country Info
There you will see, if your version is C900 as you explain:
Vendor: Your network provider (in my case Vodafone).
Country: All
And if you wanna have a European version (C432) you must see:
Vendor: hw
Country: eu
Once you have that info you could start with the flashing part. I'll try to help you find the wright post so you can perform it yourself without the problems that I found...

Ok. Now you must search for a Stock ROM thread that's called Stock Roms (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68105813&postcount=159) There you can see that the original stock rom that have your mobile is VIE-L09C113.
The next step it is to decide if you wanna stay with a branded ROM version or if you want to debrand it and change to one that have Nougat like C432 (Europe).
To do the debranding process you need your bootloader code (which Huawei can give you if you google it) or use SRK Tool. With SRK Tool you can debrand it with or without code. Without code I think that changes your IMEI (but im not completely sure about this).
Just search the P9 Plus forum and you will find lot of threads about debranding and updating from C900

First problem im unable to get the bootloader code, i'm following this guide, i log in no problem, but when i click on Unlock boatloader it send me back on the log in page, i tried already hundreds times

Q:p9 plus debranding.

now i know why everytime i manual update my p9 plus c636b103 to higher firmware is making it c900. its because my p9 plus is locked to its network carrier and the network smart is not releasing the ota for p9 plus. i have a vendor of smart country ph.,
pls bare to read as your knowledge/experience will help alot not only to me but to the future whom might get the same questions as mine. pls answer every questions./problems i have encountered thank you.
Q:#1 as i understand i think i need to do the debranding?? to unlock my p9 plus from my network, at first it made me so confused because my sim is unlocked i can use any sim. but then i realized its still locked in system updates from smart ph.
Q:#2 do i need to unlock bootloader install twrp and root the p9 plus first before contiunuing to the vdo of debranding?
Problem: #1, i dont fully understand the vdo of droidth in debranding the unit. i got lost of understanding in the changing of ro. build. id something like that. i tried to do the extracting the verlist but when i open the extracted verlist. img in notepad i only get random letters and symbols(ex. b&+g~), but in the video i should see vie/nxtc636b***. so i really got lost.
Problem: #2. i know i need the unlock code from huawei website.before i can unlock bootloader and i already get a code but the problem is i forgot to right it down as i only txted it to my number which i also use in my p9plus and i factory reset my p9 plus when i install back to c636b103 because if i dont factory reset after install b103 i got null imei, camera crashes, internal storage none. but after factory reset its ok.
so how am i gonna get a code again? is it still possible to get the code again? can someone pls put the link? thx.
thank you.
your reply will be much appreciated.
Yes, you need to debrand your phone and install the generic firmware for your region (for example, c432 firmwares for europe). In order to do this, you need unlocked bootloader and twrp. Root is optional, it depends on how you want to change the OEMinfo. For the unlock code I think you can ask it again to huawei in the same way you asked for it the First time. For problem#1, sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about because I didn't use that guide. Maybe try to root the phone and then edit the file directly on it with somethin like root explorer.

can i use any firmware in debranding? and should i first go back to b103? i have frimwares here b180 b190 b170 b130 b362.. all ar3 c636, what should i use? and can i do now the debranding process even if im still on c900b180?
Since you are on C900, I believe your cust is broken. Read here: https://www.google.it/amp/s/forum.xda-developers.com/p9/how-to/how-to-change-cust-c900-c432-t3392824/amp/ note: it's about p9, don't download or flash anything from there.
Now if you want you can try these steps:
1- unlock bootloader (if it's still locked)
2- install twrp
3- flash via twrp the attached file (ONLY if your phone is supposed to be L29-C636, which I believe it is)
4- install a C636 firmware with DLOAD metod
Now you should be on C636 firmware with a debranded phone.

Hi guys
I have rebrand my eva-l09 by chinese oreo firmware, using HWOTA7, and after starting up, all google service are missing, abd cannot intall it correctly, i trying all GMSInSTALL apk but nothing happen.
I tried to unlock bootloader via fastboot, a message showing up on adb command (unlock frp necessary...), can't enable OEM UNLOCK, always stay on grey.
Nothing is fine for me on this chinese firmware
Model : EVA-L09
BUILD NUMBER : System 8.0.0.046(0cs6)
EMUI VERSION : 8.0.0
ANDROID VERSION : 8.0.0
ANY SOLUTION TO INSTALL C432B504?

You say that you followed HWOTA7 instructions - did you really
1) Your screenshot shows model L09.
OP post #2 requores that you must rebrand (change location) from L09 (or L19, L29) to AL10.
You didn't rebrand, or it failed (how, why)?!
2) Your screenshot shows build number 8.0.0.046(OCS6).
Never seen any firmware like that.
HWOTA7, post #2, clearly describes that you must flash (after rebranding to AL10 c00), first b399sp17, and after b540.
Your build number is completely different?!
What you have is not result by following HWOTA7 instructions.
If you followed HWOTA7, you would have:
1) AL10 c00 b540 (not L09 b046 or what)
2) OEM/FRM would be permanently unlocked, with no OEM Loxk/Unlock option in Developers menu (not just grayed out)
3) You would have Playstore services preinstalled, you would just need to install Playstore apk
HWOTA7 OP post #3 describes how to rollback from (properly installed!!) AL10 c00 b540 Chinese Oreo back to Nougat (eg to L08 c432 b504)
But you don't have AL10 c00 b540, but instead something totally strange/wrong - I doubt that given eRecovery procedure will work for you.
You can try with HuRupdater (sorry, I never used and needed to use HuRupdater)

Sorry, really cannot help you then.
Unfortunately, since you didn't follow the guide but flashed some other firmware instead (you thought 'better' or what), you are in a specific situation, on your own, and only you should know or find how to deal with the phone and that Oreo firmware
As suggested in the previous answer, you may try with HuRupdater, but IMO, instead of further improvising (HuRupdater is very powerful but you can brick the phone), consider paying 15-20 Euros for DC-Phoenix or Ministry of solutions to safely downgrade to Nougat
After that, if you want Oreo, please follow the HWOTA7 guide carefully and in every detail (like others who now happily use the Oreo) - you will have stable Oreo AL10 c00 b540, debloated, fully working and with less battery consumption than Nougat
Also, rooted, passing SafetyNet, with fully working GApps, and ready for Open Kirin Treble custom ROMs (maybe they will work with your Oreo, too, but cannot tell you)
And if you would ever want to go back to Nougat, you would have a proven roll-back guide as in the OP post #3

Maybe I can help you...
I had the same issue just like you, even I read this post before I fix my phone.
First of all, the bootloader says the FRP-Locked, OEM Lock(or whatever says, i can't remember)-Unlocked.
On the Developer Settings the Oem Unlock option was greyed out.
Just like you.
So, reading this post [GUIDE] Debranding to C432 and updating to B361 (Nougat) for EVA-L09 i had a hunch...
What did I do to have my phone back?
1. My phone had the C432 oeminfo, so, I downloaded the dload-huawei-p9-eval09-eva-b136.zip (L09C432B136) in this post. Stock ROM dload file - P9 EVA-L09 B136
2. Copy the extracted dload folder to the external microSD card.
3. Now open the dialer app and enter *#*#2846579#*#* to open the project menu
4. Go to Software Upgrade > SDCard upgrade and confirm the update installation.
5. After the update, maybe shows an error at the final, let it be.
6. The phone restarts and boots with the L09C432B136, Android 6.0, and if you check the Developer options, the OEM unlock option is enabled. You can now lock or unlock your bootloader.
7. I need to update to the latest build and if i tried to check for an update, it says there is none.
8. I downloaded this firmware Download Huawei P9 B182 Marshmallow Update [Europe] I repeat steps 2-5, lock the bootloader, and search for an update... and update after update, I'm on L09C432B504 (Nougat)
Hope to help you...
Sorry for my bad english, I have no one to practice with...

Update Huawei P9 EVA L19 to EMUI 8.

Hello. I want to update Huawei P9 to EMUI 8, but I don’t have root privileges and the bootloader is blocked ((. Maybe there are programs for changing localization from EVA L19 to EVA DL00 without root privileges or an unlocked bootloader? Or are there update methods without root rights or an unlocked bootloader? Help , you are welcome!

This is not update but first of all rebranding from one model/cust to another.
Rebranding does not require root, but it does require to unlock bootloder, and there is no way (program, whatever) to do rebranding without unlocking the bootloader - unlock code can be bought for up to 5 EU from Ministry of Solutions or DC Unlocker:
https://ministryofsolutions.com/paid-services
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/
Btw, better rebrand to AL10c00 and update to Oreo b540 following a perfect guide (including debloating, fixing WiFi and 3g/4g networks for international usage, getting GApps, Location sharing etc working, adding Face Unlock...):

Thanks for the answer. I was recommended on 4PDA for EVA DL 00 to be changed. The instruction from the post on the CDA seemed to me very difficult. There are many steps. They suggested a lighter instruction to me at 4PDA, tell me, it’s working, can I get idle 3G and 4G? Or even get a brick? I remind you that I have a P9EVAL19S10V402
Possible a little easier:
You have 3 files in the HWOTA7 folder:
hwota7_ rebrand (weight 1 KB)
hwota7_ update (weight 1 KB)
Recovery7_ NoCheck (43,240 KB)
You must copy 4 files there:
- update_data_full_public.zip in update_data_public.zip,
- update_full _... zip in update_all_hw.zip,
- update.zip leave unchanged.
- oeminfo from unicom_cn.zip archive
copy the HWOTA7 folder to the root of the SD card
Next, I go into TWRP and flash the hwota7_ rebrand archive
Next, I flash the hwota7_update.zip archive (weight 1 KB), which is located in the HWOTA7 folder
Next, I boot into the system and update by air to 8-ki or manually with service firmware.

I don't know of instructions from 4pda - but instructions above look similar to those from XDA...
Anyway, Im writing from an L19c432 that was rebranded to AL10c00b540, and I have dual SIM working and everything
There were lot of users following the guide on XDA (it's already more than a year old, just that it started for b528, later HW realeased b535, b539 and finally b540)
And the community was very active during the winter, you can see almost 2000 posts al together
But if you are safer in Russian than English, maybe you better follow the Russian guide (specially if it is more active now), your choice
Just curious, can you post the link to the 4pda guide (when time permits, I'll try to read it by help of Google translator)

I can not leave a link, find a discussion of P9 on 4pda. Only there it is not very easy, I turned to the author of the post and he still simplified everything for me. On XDA, the instruction is much more complicated.

You could still give a link to that 'discussion' from 4pda, if it's not a secret
Good luck if you have to extract instructions from a discussion - XDA AL10 guide maybe looks 'complicated' because it is long, but it's long because it lists every detail a new user may not be aware of (also, because it explains why particular steps are important - otherwise somebody could make that guide 'easy/not-complicated' by removing 'unne cessary' details and by leaving only hints
Anyway, after almost a year ago when rebranding and upgrading to AL10 Oreo my first P9, yesterday evening I had to rebrand and upgrade another P9 (from custom Nougat ROM) to Oreo AL10 (with Magisk, etc,) and as expected, everything worked by the guide, with no issues whatsoever

Can I change from LLD-AL10 to LLD-L31 on a Honor 9 Lite?

Hi All,
I'm new here so please let me know if I've posted incorrectly.
I have a second hand Honor 9 Lite that I would like to use here in the UK.
It has LLD-AL10 (Build 9.1.0.130) EMUI 9.1.0 Android 9.
I think the 'firmware' I need for European is LLD-L31.
Firstly is it possible to change these base operating systems from one country/region to another please?
Secondly if it's possible and can be done ... how do I do it please?
It's a given to me handset with not data to worry about, factory reset unlocked handset.
It looks very nice and I didn't want to give up on it because I can not get the play store and standard gmail apps.
Many thanks in advance.

I think to know if anyone has ever done this is my starting point.

Thanks

Yes, it is. You need :
1. downgrade to Oreo via HiSuite (process will erase all your data!)
2. unlock bootloader on your phone (you must downgrade to lower build number with google security patch from 04.2018.)
3. download fullOTA-MF Oreo firmware for region C432 from Firmware Finder
4. rebrand your device to C432 using tool "HWOTA8_LLD"
https://forum.xda-developers.com/9-lite/help/rebrand-honor-9-lite-chinese-frimware-t3739762/page3
Or, after bootloader unlocking, root your phone and simly flash Open-GAPPS via TWRP. (a simpler solution, IMO).

Thank you so very much, I really want to use this so I am going to try your suggestion very soon.
I'm going to try hard to understand these individual steps, there is nothing on the phone to worry about so that's a start. Hopefully I can find a way following your kind suggestion.
Many thanks

I've completed the first part after connecting through HiSuite and downgrading to AL10 8.0.0.189(C00)
Does the process cost? i.e. do I need to buy credits in these stages please?
Next is unlocking the boot loader and the lower build number with that 04.2018 security patch somehow?
Many thanks

Next is downgrading to the lower build number, You need to buy credits . You can try two firmware only, LLD-AL10 8.0.0.100(C00) or LLD-AL10 8.0.0.171(C00).
8.0.0.171 contains Google patch from 05.2018, but it's worth a try...

Extract the archive contents and follow instructions in "ReleaseDoc" .
