Taking screenshot in Redmi 6 Pro - Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello all,
I have myself created a video tutorial for how to take screenshot in Redmi 6 pro. Three methods are there
1. Button combo method
2. Three fingers slide down Method
3. Screenshot option in notification area. You may see the action / demo at the following YouTube URL.
Note: As I am new member, the system did not allow me. After 10 posts, I will update here the link. Thanks!

4. Quickball - Best and easy to use

I'd suggest avoiding the button combo method. I've used Redmi 6 Pro for a year and in my experience, the buttons start becoming unresponsive after a couple of months if over-used. Wherever possible, the use of the buttons should be avoided, to increase their longevity.

Sorry i can't post link and pictures because i'm new user.
2 - Configure it with :
- open with Snapchat app
- number of click = 1
- lenght of each click (milliseconds) = 5
3 - Place the button where you want on Snapchat screen
4 - Now active the rotation of your screen and rotate your phone.
5 - Take a seflie by pressing green play button.
I hope it will be useful for you, if not you can delete this threads and sorry for my english i'm french

Pie: strange situations

New N9 with Pie OS, UAE sim-free. Could not install unknown apps, despite giving permissions. (Max deGoogle on my devices.) Rooting anyway: Dr Ketan's excellent Pie ROM flashed. Still couldn't install unknown apps - until I let Titanium install a companion app. Very strange. Now discovered that some of the installed apps - that I use frequently - would not open. Have Pie on N8 for months, no such problems there. Anyone have these issues?
Is One UI the problem? Have used it on the N8, but never impressed by it. 1. Hard press Home button to get to Home Screen involved a momentary detour through Lock Screen. Doesn't happen with Oreo, so obviously sloppy coding. 2. Time on status bar now on left. Why? Previously could check status of phone with a glance, now must check right and then check left. 3. Camera: to view last shot need to reach thumb down now to button, which involves shifting hold on phone. Previously, this button above shoot button and within easy reach. Both 2 and 3 are senseless modifications, that only add to the nuisance value of One UI. No doubt there are other inconveniences (the infantile icons, for instance), and no doubt many of them will be corrected with version 2. But the effect right now is to downgrade the overall impact of the Pie OS.
Anyway, solved all this by flashing the good doctor's Oreo ROM. Everything works as it should.
For the record: the N9 is a beauty. The N8 is a workhorse, reminds of Note 4, while the N9 has echoes of the N7/FE.

Keyboard edges responsiveness

Hi,
I started to use the X2 Pro heavily, and I'm writing so much with it. I noticed that Gboard is not well detecting my touches in the edges (q and p letters for example). Well, it detects them but there is a latency. When I tap fastly it misses my touches.
And yes I have this too with SwiftKey.
Are you noticing this ?
i had this only using the 60hz mode , if i did use the 90hz mode it dosent happen

Same here, i am referring to latency, after several days of hard usage, i cancel cache and force app to stop, then reopen SwiftKey.
In this way you can resolve
Same issue here, using SwiftKey.
same here
tried more than 5 keyboards but all yhe same problem.
to fix it is to close all apps and run Ram cleaner .. but it's temporary fix .. after 20 or 30 minutes the problem is back.

Any permanent solution? Should we log this as a bug to realme?
Same bug here with Really UI Android 10 but only with 60htz
I have the same problem, running Color OS 6.1 with 90Hz and Gboard lags quite a lot
I keep catching the sides when I use gestures and the q and p don't register and I end dragging to next app
Same here. Realme x2 pro, (but also many xiaomi) have a sensitive delay on borders, wich make a little lag (approx 500 msec) in typing letters like 'p' or 'q' that are on borders. I tested the touch an it works perfect, so i checked time between touch and tap recognition and the delay seems to be a sw thing... to protect probably from unwanted touchs in origin. To explain better touch on all the borders (also above keyboard) is delayed by some feature of the sw. During typing this is awful! My naive guess, i believe the delay is a bug/feature done on the OS itself.
mikifex is somewhat correct. The problem is on the software is due to the gestures being used as opposed to the traditional three button navigation. The system works out a small delay to check if your intent was just a tap on the edge of the screen or if you swiped on the edges to go back. This does not happen when using the three nav buttons.

Haha I noticed this issue and you are 100% correct... If you press the "p" key from the left side of the key so your finger is not touching the screen edge there's zero delay... I also noticed this on my mi9.
My fix was to resize Gboard so that the edges of the keyboard are not at the edges of the screen and also to make the keyboard smaller and move it up closer to midway. It's now a lot more comfortable to type on and no gesture issues
Hi there. With the traditional navigation buttons lag is reduced a bit, but still there to me. The best option I have is to report it as a bug in the realme UI Open Beta web page (not sure I can post the link here),
hope this will make it trough....

Hello. Got an answer to my video on c.realme.com/in/bug-report!!!! Just dig for a bug about borders... There was an answer not so clear that mentioned "realmex2 pro new apdate UI" so i imagine there is some hope!!! I also got a question to prepare a log of the issue and post a link to this thread, therefore: 1. procedure for the log is quite complicated, can you guys go there and help me in reporting? 2. Dear Moderators, can I post a link to this thread in realme-bug-report website? Thank you.

[FIX] Fingerprint Gestures on Redmi Note 7

Of the five phones I've owned recently with rear fingerprint sensors (Honor 7X, Honor 8X, Samsung S9, Google Pixel 3a, Redmi Note 7), the only one which doesn't natively support fingerprint gestures is the Redmi Note 7.
Therefore, I can't swipe down or up on the fingerprint sensor on the Redmi Note 7 to expand or collapse the notification shade the way I can on the other phones. This is a major annoyance for me since I use the notification shade often when I'm using a phone one-handed, and the rear fingerprint sensor is so convenient for this purpose.
So I tried about a dozen different apps on the Play Store until I found one that did exactly what I wanted, and it's free. It's called Keyboard/Button Mapper.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.github.sds100.keymapper
It's not so easy to figure out at first, so I can post instructions if anyone needs help. In summary, however, you would create two new keymaps with the following mappings:
Trigger: <swipe down>
Action: Expand Notification Drawer
Trigger: <swipe up>
Action: Collapse Status Bar
With this one fix, the Redmi Note 7 can be just as convenient to use one-handed as any other modern phone. Enjoy.
does not even recognize my fingerprint sensor when applying for the trigger action

Hi Alifirdaus. I'm sorry to hear that it's not working for you. Please list the steps you took so that I might help you. Thanks.
I have enabled all app requests (fixes) including root permission but the app does not recognize the fingerprint actions.
Mine doesnt work either... i just updated to MIUI 12... I'm not rooted. does this require root? thanks!
Gosh I've been looking for an app like this for so looooooong !! Thanks !! Working on my pocophone x3 Surya running arrow os android 11
Unfortunately I'm getting this on my Poco X3 NFC with custom rom. Any other solutions? Xposed edge pro doesn't recognize the fingerprint sensor.
