ROM in early development stage, released just for pie preview. needs testing

Awesome! Thanks for this!
Edit: Is it recommended to be on August or September build?

Sweet! Want to give this a shot, but I am a bit unsure how to flash gapps with it. I searched the other build's forum, and couldn't see on it either. Do I flash build, boot, then flash gapps, like on other A/B devices? Or do I just flash gapps at ROM installation?

Is TWRP built in?

Does this use an EAS kernel?

So I attempted to flash, but I am getting the error stating I am using an incorrect version gapps. States I am running 8.1, not 9. Anyone else have any ideas?
EDIT: I was able to modify the installer sh to force it to install, but every copy of gapps prompts and states there is not enough space in the system partition.

Have you tried installing the smallest gapps package? I had this same issue on another device.

Gapps screws up sometimes. Try remounting system and vendor while in twrp, reboot recovery then try flashing gapps again. I bet it works.

How are you guys getting touch to work in twrp...are you using the augest build to start?

I just flash the hyp.mbn from August before booting to recovery, then after installing whatever, go back to bootloader and flash the sept hyp.mbn.. just that file is all u need. Just be sure to reflash the current hyp file or any build based on sept wont work and vice versa.

flashed the 0930 build, bluetooth is broken.
Display setting - Full screen apps is in there, but i open or close the option, it seems doesn't work.. (i test it in my games
The screen became rounded corners, can this be a option for users? or it can be off by default?
some settings seems are not ready for pie, such as privacy guard, expanded desktop...

I already removed rounded corners in the upcoming build. Also it's stated in second post that it's early development stage, so don't expect everything to work properly. It's still experimental and we don't even have official lineage sources for mata. So thanks to @KuranKaname for his work
That full screen apps feature is lineage stuff. I already did what I could to add it on mata. From the comments on gerrit we can read:
I don't have an exact example app in mind but >=O apps can still manually limit maxAspectRatio to lower values like 1.86 or 2.1 (which could be obsolete for future long long screens). (It is not you are >= O so you are good with long screens)

i) <O apps that previously needed the max aspect ratio setting to 2.1 to work in full screen. eg https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.telltalegames.batman200

Try gapps on adjacent slot then reboot is what worked for me.

Well, since last 2 Days I am using it without a single Random Reboot. Which surely means that you guys are doing something wrong.
Install Firmware + ROM + Gapps + Magisk Together .
And if you are installing any other modules or kernels I don't know what's wrong. Stay on stock.
I hear that random reboots, then I say that flash it as I say, then user says that I did the same. Then why not a single Random Reboot on my phone?????????

Dirty Unicorns Semi GSI for Samsung Devices
By CodeFox & OpenSauce9810
I'm no longer maintaining this thread, check the note 9 thread here for latest updates
What is this?
This is a Semi Generic System Image. That means it's a generic system image that's been optimized as much as possible for our Samsung Devices.
How the heck do I flash this?
It's slightly different than flashing a zip, so here's what you need to do.
Download the image file
Flash Endurance GSI Kernel in TWRP
Flash BRJ6 Vendor
Flash the System Image to your System Partition
Optional if you want root (but reccomended): Reboot to recovery again then flash your choice of Magisk. I use 17.1 as I can get galaxy wear to work with that version.
Reboot your device and you should be good to go! No need to flash gapps as they're included.
03.12.2018
Initial Release
05.12.2018
Updated sources to 9.0 r21 release. (December Security Patch)
Gapps included, (dialer and messenger also included so you won't start without a phone or sms app)
Bootanimation changed to reduce boot times
Tweaks to ambient play ticker so it clears when you clear media notifications
Further performance tweaks thanks to @malinathani animations transition smoother now.
06.12.2018
PHH Settings Removed.
Dual Speaker permanently integrated, will always persist and no longer needs to be activated.
Enhanced brightness ranges permanently integrated.
Sync latest DU Sources
Potential ratio fix for S9/S9+ Devices.

You need to install GAPPS 9.0 after rebooting into recovery following install of system image. This should be mentioned in the instructions.
Then you will get the usual install section after boot up and the usual google apps etc. I used GAPPS 9.0 nano.
All working well on my S9+.

Best rom atm! Perfect to set it up just the way you want it without bloat apps.
Just had to change Product.model to pixel xl in build props to get higher quality on Facebook vids.
Anyways, New daily for me. Thank you. ?
I can't flash the system image . Why is it ending in .xz ?
Its a compressed file, I just used 7zip to extract it.

I have only one question/issue: With my registered fingerprint i can unlock the screen - this works perfect, but in 3rd-party-apps i get an error with fingerprint and i cant use my fingerprint in these apps (e.g. banking app). Anyone know how to use my fingerprint in 3rd-party-apps? This is not working on all Pie-(s)GSI, not only on DU...

@thearne3 probably not, but you are welcome to try, but i highly recommend that you be comfortable in recovering from brick. make sure you have all the means to do so, or are ok with a paperweight.

With exception of camera, everything works very well, including Freedompop service via Sprint data network. Thanks, @DarkFrenzy!

Working just fine for me (minus the mention known issues) on my Sprint SM-T217, in terms of anything crashing.
SafteyNet will NOT pass on this rom! It's something to do with the kernel or the boot image I think I'm not sure.
Basic Integrity is failing which signifies an OS level problem, not a Magisk problem.
Strangly though, disabling and enabling MagiskHide on each boot causes the SafteyNet to pass. Any ideas OP?
Hopefully the dev can look into this.

Install the ROM along with twrp on to the current slot, reboot into recovery, and again install the ROM along with twrp, reboot into recovery, then install gapps/magisk.

The link points to gapps 9.0 stock. Maybe the issue is we need 10.0, though only nano and pico available. I am looking into trying this in the next day or two. Anyone have a tip here? I know , only three days online! I will be patient!
Cheers

Try NikGapps or FlameGapps - I'm using the former and it's got stock packages and is stable

It only points like that because that's what the opengapps site details to, if you toggle the 10.0 button, it'll switch to what's available for 10.0

Ii wasnt sure if the op intended that version or not.
Good job ! ! !
what is more stable/featuring rom, LOS or statixos?
I followed all directions. gapps loaded fine, magisk, etc... all good. Only problem, sim card not seen. Tried a few times with no luck. I just reflashed january essential fastboot image and am restoring backup, but would like to try this, as every time I txt i need to shut off and turn on data. every time i plug in a battery I need to go to settings usb control... Getting sick of stock. Anyone else get around ( or have) this no sim problem?
Thanks,
David
The janfw-febvendor set doesnt have a boot.img or system.img file, though the flashall.bat calls for them. Could this be my problem? Not sure if the files aren't there does it just leave the old ones - which are January anyway.
Thanks,
David

The vendor package should not contain boot.img (boot partition for rom) and system.img (rom). These partitions are flashed by the rom you choose to install.

Nice work, thanks a lot!
I just noticed; On the OmniROM website, it says that the version for ZenFone 8 is official. Also, there is a picture of the ZenFone 6. Maybe you can bring this up with the maintainer of the website.

yes, it's an leftover. I need to update it
Getting a 404 error now :-(
OmniROM - zenfone8
Using the ROM in the original post is great. Do we report bugs here?
SIM 1 doesn't work. It'll show your carrier but won't work. I tried with 1 and 2 SIMs at once. Only SIM 2 will work.
When you select the option to hide the nav bar (which is great because then it pushes the keyboard down), even if you're using gesture navigation, the back gesture stops working. Hiding the pill isn't as good because the keyboard and some apps leave a huge gap at the bottom.
Not necessarily a bug, but it looks like the GAPPs version can't get system updates? What's the best way to have Google apps but also utilize the system updates feature. (I know there probably aren't any updates available at the moment.)

Same
Omni for ZF8 not out yet, that's why you get 404 errors
Yeah, I figured. I do check out @micky387 's Gerrit activity, though. Excited for what is to come.
Official omni out for ZF8
I would really appreciate if someone who is anyway gonna try this ROM and use it to post some kind of short review. I am mostly interested in stability, battery life and camera (as usually on custom ROMs camera quality is way worse compared to stock)

Looks like only microG version. Anyone know how to install gapps on it? I can't get into recovery to flash the gapps zip.

Woops
I don't know if this is coincidence or ROM-related, but has anyone else had adb and fastboot problems? Since flashing the June version of OmniROM I can't get my computer to recognize my phone in fastboot or recovery ADB. Nothing shows up in Device Manager at all.
Everything works fine from within Android, but once I get into recovery it's just silence. Same symptoms on my Win10 desktop, Win10 laptop, and terminal on OnePlus 5. As far as I'm aware I can't update the ROM, restore factory firmware, or root the phone without fastboot and/or ADB.
EDIT: I tried several other Windows, Linux, and Android devices and none would even acknowledge that I had plugged something in, but yesterday I tried my mom's ASUS laptop and my phone showed up in Device Manager without even needing drivers. I was able to fastboot flash TWRP and update the ROM. I still have no explanation for why so many devices didn't work or why this one did, but at least all of that is behind me.
