how fast is the memory card reader? - LG V40 Questions & Answers

The g7 is pretty slow when trying to access the music stored on my 400gb card. How fast is the v40 compared to the G7? Has anybody compared or know the actual access specs?

I don't have a G7 to compare but here's my results from Andro Bench.

Never heard of card reader speed? Isn't it all up to the type/quality of card you use?

bencozzy said:
Not entirely. I/O schedule and format and overly card size play a role.
F2fs and bfq are a great combo for memory access speed.

Well, I kind of assumed that all bigger brands were up to date in that matter!?
Regardless, the only thing we can do for now, is getting the highest quality card...

bencozzy said:
Lenovo and Google use f2fs formatting. No one uses bfq scheduler that I know of only custom kernels which is a shame.

Interesting. Where do you get this important information? Kind of disappointing ;(

Memory

Planed to buy a Shift and I've seen on jkkmobile that the shift's memory was micro dimm type...
The problem is that the maximum I can actually find in this kind of memory is 1 Gb
And it would be better on Vista with 2 Gb, no ?
So does any one know where I can find a 2 Gb Micro DIMM memory
Thanks

Sorry written in Japanese, but the page said it is "mezzanine microdimm"
Even if it fits, it is only 256mb, 512mb and 1GB

Bday computer upgrade

So my bdays coming up on the 20th and I'm upgrading my MoBo CPU and RAM. I've got a pretty good idea of the pieces (and prices) I want, but I would like some input such as:
Do these even go together?
Can you think of a better combo for about the same price? (no conjecture please)
How large of a powersource would be sufficient for this?
And basically any constructive rig building advice.

64GB SanDisk SDSDQUA-064G-U46A COMPATIBLE WITH NO BUGS?

Hello fellow XP users!
I know this topic has been asked like a hundred times but the threads I've read present insufficient info that I need and most are clutteted.
I just want to ask if the SanDisk 64GB (SDXC, I guess) with product code SDSDQUA-064G-U46A is compatible with the Xperia PLAY with the following conditions:
1. There should be no lag in games
2. Will perform at optimal levels even if nearly full
In other words, is it completely compatible with no bugs whatsoever?
Thanks in advance!
EDIT:
Here's a pic of the product

EDIT2:
Also, I've read HERE that there is no difference between an ULTRA and MOBILE ULTRA card. Is it okay then to just use the ULTRA card as it is more readily available (not hard to find) and, of course, should be without bugs whatsoever?
I have the exact same one and have been using it for about a yea in my PLAY with no issues what so ever. It works great. Been very pleased.

Working fine even if you fill it almost to the brim? No slowdowns on games? And is yours the same code as I posted above?
Thanks for the reply, you have been helpful as always.
Without taking by card out it does appear to be the same card.

I'll take a look and let you know.
This is the card I have and have been using for a yar now, with no issues. Even when I get it full to the point of less then 1gb.

Nice
very satisfied with my bike maxx
This is great for a device not weighted down by bloatware. Judaxxx
I believe our specs could definitely keep up with phones loaded with the 810 snapdragon
Only difference is a slight performance boost and 64 bit ready not a big difference in my opinion except for the 64 bit part
I'm also eager to see if there would be a noticeable difference in performance and battery life
There is but not by much
Maybe because of the droid specs lollipop could give boost?

I believe what holds us all back is that the phone & or SD card memory is formatted (fat) or (fat32) but whichever it is the max single file size is limited to around 4GB. This is the limitation I read somewhere but if someone could validate this I'd feel better because I heard this quickly and memory isn't great because the topic was only quickly discussed/addressed.

On samsung forum i have seen this same topic and the answer for customer's question was: Record time is restricted because the phone is getting hot when recording video. iPhones and many android phones doesn't have this restriction so why Note 9 must have it?
For file systems greater than 32GB per volumes and / or 4GB files, they are automatically created using exFAT when the card is formatted, which supports 128 PB files and volumes if I'm not wrong.
i have read on mods thread that guys who are using the mod to avoid restrictions are having problems with temperature....
It's true that arbitrary time limits are mostly just a nuisance for a large part of the userbase, but most likely protection "features" like this are designed so that the user experience is the same for everyone - from the cooler climates to the hottest, where heat management is a real problem. Most features and limitations are carefully designed, and exist for a reason; remember that.
