Lite version - Huawei Mate 20 Lite Questions & Answers

In the Huawei product ranges, Mate 20 in particular if different than others, do the Lite variants remove/revoke the Dual SIM 4G ability?
On my Mate 10 Pro, I had 2 SIMs on different networks that supported 4G and VoLTE. Both would be on 4G at the same time, which in many areas, provided a much better reception.
So for me, dual 4G is important, and I can't figure out by reading specs, if the P20 or Mate 20 lite versions keep the easy project (aka desktop mode) and dual 4G features (dual standby/dual active). Anyone knows?
Thanks

Can't connect to 4G / LTE

Hi everyone,
My P9 (L09C432 ver.) cannot connect to 4g even though it has the supported bands to do so. Specifically, I am trying to connect to Freedom Mobile in Canada who uses band 4 & 7. Much help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I have P10 Plus, and im in the same boat. My friend's Oneplus One has LTE. I think this has something to do with Huawei, not the carrier.

Nokia 8 TA-1004 vs Nokia 8 TA-1052

I ordered a Nokia 8 TA-1004 (Global version) by I've got a TA-1052 (China/US version?).
Any known difference between the two models? In term of band availability for example
Probably some differences on the bands supported from the device.

Yes, I think so. Any idea of what band my version misses?

Hu, I am not familiar with all those acronyms and technologies. But roughly it looks like the Chinese version (1052) work on more band that the global one ? But its limited to 2.5G (no 3g or 4g ??)
I have 1052 and all perfectly with 3g , 4g or 4g+
Can I install TA-1052 Firmware on my TA-1004 ?
I need the bands that ta-1052 supports

LTE-A (4G+) doesn't seem to work in my P20 Pr0

Whilst I'm being in area which is 100% covered by lte-a, using the same sim in other lte-a capable handsets (which get a 4g+ lock right away), only the p20 seems to stay only with regular 4g. Is my p20 defective? I already made sure that the high-speed lte is enabled in the menu, and I'm running the latest firmware.

Z0mg, not even one?!?!
Hey, i am on p20 pro and lte_a btw. 4G+ is still available on my Handset.
Greetz
I've seen 4G+ on mine, but only when roaming. I don't think it supports all the necessary LTE bands.

Band unlock

Just recently switched back to Verizon from Tmobile and would like to continue using the P20 Pro.
As we know the P20 Pro does not support band 13, Verizon does VoLTE on this band so without it calling is impossible (aside form sms and non VoLTE calling).
Do we have any progress on something similar to what has been done to the Snapdragon phones?
RIP P20

LTE BANDS

Hi all,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE G781B/DS that I bought unlocked on ebay. It's a great device, I come from a Xiaomi Mi 10 that was great but MIUI 12 was a desaster and it was not dual sim... the thing is that I need dual SIM for T Mobile in the US and Claro in Peru.
I live in Peru and Claro has the bands 2, 7 and 28.. the first two are very slow and the band 28 is pretty fast with 80mbps average of download.
The problem is that this phone almost ALWAYS chooses the bands 2 and 7, I installed LTE discovery app and I can see that the band 28 is near but it does not connect to it.
What can I do? I also detected that with T Mobile in Miami, the phone selected towers and bands that made the internet very slow.
When I compare the connection with mi M10 and my father's S20 FE Exynos that also support the 28 band, they do connect to it, in the same place at the same time.
Is the phone defective?
Please advise,
Thanks
