Indians who bought XZ2 H8296 version (6gb ram model) - Sony Xperia XZ2 Questions & Answers

To Indians who bought h8296 model and using it in India,
I am planning to buy H8296 model from amazon us as XZ2 is super expensive in India. I would like to know if VOLTE works here with Jio/airtel and other carriers that support volte. How are you guys using ? By flashing Indian firmware or using firmware that came with phone ?
I am fed up with my OnePlus 5 , hate this design, size and bezels. I was using Xperia z3 before and loved its rectangular design.
Thanks in advance

It should work
I checked this information on .frequencycheck website and as per this website this should work in India.
I have bought this model from USA and My phone will arrive next weekend then I can confirm that.
I am happy Xperia z2 user. After using Sony it's very hard to move to any other brand.

[Q] Xperia ZL in Japan

It looks like Xperia ZL is not launching in Japan? Anyone knows if its true?
Don't even see it in their products lineup!! i'm looking forward to ZL and not Z
http://www.sonymobile.co.jp/product/
Sony's released plan of the devices is messed up. Everything they said on their announcements didn't come true. And yeah japan should also recieve Xperia ZL as sony did mention that both Xperia Z and ZL will be available on all southeast asian countries before european countries gets it. But look what's happening now. Europe has already demo units and released Xperia Z now but on Southeast Asia only japan got the Xperia Z release and only singapore got a demo unit with them. Rest of Southeast Asia has no news whatsoever about these devices. And yeah my most anticipated device "Xperia ZL" looks like got left out of the dark now also.
Will the ZL released in germany?
Japan.
Yeah.... no news from japan...
I think buy the sim free version from the net, n use it with the Japan's line is the best choice....
well...

That will be great except even with a SIM Free phone you need to have the IMEI registered by Docomo to use it, and they won't register any device they haven't sold.

yup.... so we need to go to docomo to register the ZL IMEI id...
Didn't know Japan is that harsh here in Singapore, it's illegal for the carriers to lock the phones

international order for Xperi Z

Hi everyone,
I live in Turkey , and I want to buy Xperia Z.
I looked at a few sites, such as clove.co.uk / handtech.co.uk / Unlocked-mobiles.uk
Do you have experience in international shipping site which you offer me?
You can find Xperia Z in Istanbul/Kadikoy. I've bought mine last week.
Importing GSM phones from outsite of Turkey is a big pain.

Istanbul is very expensive for me..
so I'm using the Royal Mail from International
Dear cjcelo,
I've bought my Xperia S with Handtec, and my Xperia Z with Clove. Both came in perfect conditions and the support was amazing, in both companies. Handtec support is superb, solved the issue I had with the charger when I ordered the S, even if my order was made from Brazil (I'm also an International Customer).
Both can be recommended.
Erich

You can not import mobile phones to Turkey yourself, it will not pass custom check, so my advice is do not even try it.

International vs t-mobile version

Are there any pros/cons?
I got the t-mobile version specifically for their new jump program, but realized that the Sony style store carries the white xperia z compatible with t-mobile. Not sure if it's worth it to pay restocking fee and get the white one if that is the only difference (color)
How many more T-Mobile threads do we need.

I have the white Xperia Z 6602 unlocked International model which I'm using on AT&T. The biggest difference is that you cannot pick up LTE bands here in the United States. Not even the 6603 model. What that unfortunately means for us USA users is that we will not be able to get Voice over LTE which probably won't be wide spread for at least 6 months to a year. I don't mind either way, not enough phones support it yet but I'm sure in the future we'll see more of this technology.
The only difference in the USA between the C6603 and C6602 is that the C6602 will get fully hspa + on att and tmobile where the C6603 what I have only gets it on att period.

No Problem it works in India, there are 2 models imported, c6902 (3g only) and c6903 (LTE), i too bought it for a friend (then 3g model).
Also in my opinion z2 is around 27k and z1 24k. shell a few grand more and get the z2. you won't regret it. if shortage in cash, then save up. it's worth the time

[Q] Xperia Z3 Compact bought in Germany to use in Mexico?

I was wondering if someone, by any chance, has bought an xperia Z3 compact on amazon that can confirm that it indeed supports 850/1900 frequencies for 3G (used in Mexico). I saw the specs on sony's germany website and it says it does, but I'm not sure if the product sold in amazon.de is the same.
Can someone help me / confirm I can buy the phone in amazon.de and be sure that I can use it in Mexico?
Try to confirm the Model Number and search the bands on gsmarena
