[CLOSED] [Kernel] [4.9] [Experimental] BlinKernel-4.9-mata - Essential Phone ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other

Hello, this is a new experimental kernel based on the Linux 4.9 kernel, not everything is expected to work, stability may be flaky.
Disclaimer Per Usual:
Your warranty is now void, I am not responsible for soft-bricks, thermonuclear war, your phone turning into reactor 4 at Chernobyl, or you getting fired because your alarm app failed.
Please do research if you are concerned about flashing this Kernel. YOU are choosing to make these modifications, if you try to blame me, I will simply laugh at you.

Just building as I know. Hasn't been tested.

Has been tested, DOES NOT BOOT and on a Good Note, DOES NOT BRICK either...

Do you realise that you can brick multiple devices by releasing this here? Have you tested it on your phone? Send screenshot with kernel version if you did.

I didnt post it, it never should have been posted. I flashed it, it didnt boot...

Download links have been removed and this thread is being closed as the OP does not have permission to post either the source or built download of this kernel.
Not only this, the linked source states this is not a serious project until further notice. I do not recommend trying to install this kernel in its current state.

What's working -
Almost everything
What's not working -
WiFi- Once turned on, the device goes into bootloop. The only way to come out of it is wipe data from recovery.
Bluetooth- "Bluetooth share has stopped" messages annoy a lot. Just delete Bluetooth from /system/app
Video H/W decoder- Use 3rd party apps like MX Player and use S/W decoder in them
EDIT: You may also try camcorder fix located here
A few more minor ones. Tell me?
Install instructions:
- power off the phone
- reboot to recovery
- full wipe
- flash rom zip
- flash lollipop gapps zip
- reboot

In case you haven't noticed, there is already a thread owned by me for the same thing. I don't see any effort in fixing anything which is broken but just a recompiled ROM.
Either way this is not allowed on XDA, i.e taking over something which is already being maintained by someone else without a permission.
I suggest you take down your build and get the thread locked.

Actually this is not true. There can be many unofficial CM ROMs in one section. The only issue would be if this ROM uses something of yours without permission which you have not allowed anyone else to use.
Those things would be covered under rule 12.
Other than that we encourage development and developers to work together to make all work better and more stable.
Thanks

These are 32-bit CyanogenMod 12 builds.
They will be obsolete when official nightlies are available.
Quickly created from the 'cm-11.0' sources, because we can, and it's fun!
Downloads:
https://basketbuild.com/devs/cdesai/cm
What doesn't work:
Dual SIM (Single SIM operation is fine)
FM Radio (no audio)
All major hardware features are mostly working just fine, unless mentioned above.
Installation:
Backup your data
Install it from recovery
Optionally install the Google Addon
Reporting Bugs:
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread. Note that this is a preview release and non-device specific bugs will not be accepted. Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the build again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved.

The newer version that shipped with the latest OTA doesn't work.

Could you release the device sources so that we could have a look at them and try solving those Phone UI problems.. I know you are concerned about people cooking various roms with unfinished sources.. but is there a way you can provide sources to the devs who wanna help?

you are wiping /data only. i was talking about wiping /data/media too as the file system might be getting corrupt resulting in boot loop.
for best result i suggest you fastboot to stock rom and try again. this is more of a sure shot but long cut method.

cdesai, can you please list out what's working and what's not..?
I know that you had already posted that info i this thread, but i read issues like baseband not working, after installing some of the user got erased their IMEI numbers and problems in outgoing calls as well.
So help me clearing my queries.
If i install the rom what would be the effect i.e. Internal Memory Erased along with photos and installed apps,Root access removed etc.
Thank you in advanced....
Nothing wrong will happen, just flash the rom and flash the 5 dec baseband (google it)and pa lollipop gapps, or better wait for the official update which is rolling on 26 as per the news.

I created this for users who want to develop using this as base for their development and of course if they just needed with all the bloatware but that's not the real purpose of this release.

I wonder if anyone could extract the stock camera app (including dependencies) and build a flashable zip for CM.

According to the download page, the ROM upload time is on 2016-12-13, is it the most update Version of this ROM? Any source of this ROM? Have you test the ROM before post in here?
What Chinese site did you get this from ?
Link to website please, I will upload it to AFH when I get it done downloading. But a mirror to the ops thread would be a good gesture to the developer.
This ROM based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow? Correct?
I'm sorry, but you are not the creator of this rom. In the last couple of days you asked some respected developers like fevax and jesec to release a MIUI-rom, and they showed no interest in doing so. Which is also very understandable, because they need to get a solid bugfree base first.
Now you create this thread, without any useful information (like bug info, android version).
MIUI V8 Beta 1: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767130077
Looks like they used arora note 7 to make it, thats what the build.prop is telling me.
It's MM but we need a link the the official site or something close, if you want to maintain the thread I suggest get the authors permission. Dude you did this with my LegionOS builds and you created a ton of trouble for me with users *****ing when I knew damn well what the issues are. If you do this again, I am pretty damn sure you will be banned from XDA because you will piss off the main developers to where they end their projects. So before you get on anyone else's ****list besides mine think twice.

Please do your homework FIRST, and be sure what you're doing to your device is safe.
This post should be deleted. This apparently doesn't work with merlin and I can confirm it screws up system ui on osprey too. So it's essentially useless and the op seems completely unwilling to make improvements towards something that does work.

I have not mentioned that it works on merlin. As for osprey I had few testers with positive results but your feedback about osprey is first and single in this thread.
I will post rather full SystemUI.apk in flashable zip that includes the fix. I think it'll solve all issues.
Sorry for troubles.
P.S. If you want to fix merlin why not to post your SystemUI here? I will help you with pleasure.
