High impedance - LG V40 Questions & Answers

Anyone found any tricks for force enabling high impedance mode similar to the tricks used on the LG v30 and v20?

This thread seems to be searching for the same question.

Whoops sorry, admins delete this thread if any rules have been broken. I didnt realize that thread was specifically hunting for ways to trigger high impedance on the fly.

[Q] Why is everyone posting into the Development section?
it's so extremely annoying, having to filter through tons of junk posts that should be in Q&A or General instead of actual Development question
if this goes one might suggest to enable the option "By Invite Only"
so that only Dev people will can access it, and other XDA members can access it only if invited by a Dev.
The answer to your question is several fold:
- First, some people don't read and/or don't care where they post.
- Second, there are some that think that the Development section is the only place to get answers to questions when that section is for Rom Development only and any closely linked technical conversations revolving around that topic.
- Third, which appears to applies to new users in particular, they google externally to the XDA site for an answer to a problem, their search results drop them straight into the Rom Development forum, they don't quite find what they are looking for and then proceed to post a question where it does not belong.
Our moderators work very hard to keep the fora tidy; however if people will not support that activity by posting in the right place then we end up fighting a losing battle.
I have 3 suggestions to help improve the situation:
- First, that you report any threads that are in the wrong fora so we can move them.
- Second, you all take time out to educate offenders yourselves, especially repeat offenders, on the benefits of posting in the right place.
- Third, people get into the habit of posting in the right fora first time and, whenever required, use google search to see if their question has already been posted and resolved BEFORE posting another thread.
I hope this is helpful.
Kind regards,
WB (XDA Moderating Team)
Do we have enough moderators or need more. I moderate on another forum and would be happy to throw my towel in if needed.
same, previously Mod of the now defund mytreo.net and, legit FlyFF USA MMORPG and some other lesser known forums.
the only problem of being a Mod, you have less time for everything else
Gents/Ladies,
Good quality people with a mature, adult approach to life, good decision making skills,an open mind, conflict management skills, a proven track record of positive help and support of this community and, above all, a great deal of common sense, are always welcome.
We have over 2 million users on here and an awful lot of fora so think carefully before you commit yourselves. However if I have failed to frighten you off please feel free to pm me and we can take it from there.
We have a defined process that we go through. Please be aware that an application does not guarantee that you will be accepted.
WB
PS: We undertook a massive cleaning exercise yesterday in the development forum. You should find it a lot cleaner than it was yesterday.
We still need your help to spot items that should not be in there and report them. We also need you to help implement the suggestions in my post above.

[Q] Deleted Thread?

Earlier today I created a new thread about the volume level on my phone being low and if there was a way to fix it. Within a few hours I came back to see if anybody had replied with any suggestions, the entire thread was deleted!!
Who decides which threads get to live and which ones die? And by what criteria is this decision made? I have a real problem and asked an honest question. Why was my thread deleted? I didnt get a message stating why or anything. Poof, the thread was just gone. I've been a long time member of this message board and have answered and posted many good posts. I think it was a raw deal that when I had a real problem and needed help, some power-hungry jerk just deleted my thread with no explanation what's so ever.
Only mods can delete threads. In the future, you should search better before opening a new thread. Mods are strictly enforcing the rules more (operation Iron Fist).
Yea, I always try to search first. Even when I'm typing the topic of the new thread the forum auto searches for you.
I did search and didnt really find anything that was 100% dead-on what I was asking about.
I guess since the Captivate forum has a new moderator, he's feeling powerful; deleting posts/threads at the drop of a hat.

[OFFICIAL] "Original Cellphones" Thread

Wait... what's a smartphone? My Samsung Fliptop is now an outdated piece of tech
Have you ever thought of the fact that before smartphones, there were flip tops, normal cellphones and pocket PDAs?!
Well then this is the thread for you minority of people, including myself! In this thread, us minority can all discuss what ACTUALLY was considered "an awesome phone" before smart touch screen devices were made!
Ahh, I still rememb-... I'll stop there.
Post your photos of old phones, discuss what cell phones were like before smartphones, and have fun!
(In my opinion, a pocket PDA isn't a smart phone )
Thread already exists.

I don't think there's anything wrong with posting the link to the already-existing thread. That actually serves a useful purpose whereas the IB4L people are just boosting their post count. Closed.

4k 60fps video looks blurry

I have figured out that the recorded video in 4k 60fps using main camera looks more blurry than any other resolution in 30 fps? It's upsetting me, is it normal?
I don't have blurry videos on my s20 FE snapdragon. Details looks fine here.

Do you have Snapdragon or Exynos variant?
Given that the original question was asked a hundred days ago, it is possible that in the 2 or 3 updates that have taken place in the meantime, Samsung may have improved this functionality

People must stop pretending / relying on updates as a magic fix. Usually, what you see in the release product is never fixed (only marginally, if not). For the 4k 60 fps, maybe it is upscaled 4k (they usually do this because the chipset can't handle true 4k at 60 fps, although it should be able to).

Hi @Daaeboss03, welcome to XDA! We are glad to have you here. I noticed that the topic of your thread already has a dedicated thread here. I would suggest moving your discussion over there to avoid multiple threads on the same topic. Also, please take some time to read our XDA Forum Rules. I will lock this thread for now. Please feel free to reach out to me if you intend to use this thread for a different topic to reopen it.
