[Q] Cyanogen 6 GApps

Using Clockwork, I was able to get Cyan6 on my phone but whenever I opted to include Froyo GApps in the download ROM part, I got "corrupt zip" error multiple times. Now I am running Cyan6 just fine , minus the Market et al. Any ideas?
You can get the current version of the Gapps add-on here:
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/files/file/119-google-addon-hdpi-20101008/
Flash the downloaded zip either from ROM Manager or from custom recovery.

Click to collapse
ROM Manager / Custom Recovery, unable to recognize zip. Says (bad). However, on going back to ROM Manager, was able to download and flash. Thanks for the lead though
I did notice that reboots .... haphazard I should say are happening on device now. It's fast too, {compared to stock} esp when I try to download certain apps from market....will download fine, but when the installing dialogue appears on the menu bar, it reboots. Thoughts..
No idea, sounds like something is amiss. Is it possible you have an HBOOT version that isn't playing nice with the method you used to flash custom recovery and CM6? Are you running a Froyo radio version that is compatible with CM6?
OH - and I almost forgot - did you wipe data/cache when you installed CM6? If you didn't then you may find that CM6 boots up but acts very strange and would give you a world of problems.
Wiped data and cache and that did it. Thanks.

[Q] [ROM][GTi9305][XXUENE4][JB4.3][19.7.2014] camera stoped

first, i love that rom, but i flashed many version of this rom ,the camera did not work all the time, please help me out!
Welcome here . May you forgot say how the Rom called, but in any Rom are Install instructions or Notes where is described solving for Camera issue.
Perhaps it's that camera problem on custom kernels....
There is a solution on boeffla kernel thread....
Install stock kernel zip (I think it is available at one of the last pages of boeffla kernel thread)
After the boot, go and take pictures with the camera, them after some minutes verify the folders on system data/cfw, there will be a file, which is the camera file... now backup that file in your sdcard... and everytime you install a custom rom just put this file inside the data/cfw......

[Q] JB flash player

[Q] Viper4Android + FXP 331 = Fail?!

Hey guys, I installed Viper4Android today on the latest FXP CM11.
Installed the drivers and rebooted but when I opened Google Play Music it didn't work.
Then I uninstalled the drivers and rebooted. Done that I went and uninstalled the app.
My music wasn't working yet. So I rebooted in recovery and flashed CM11 zip again.
The installation failed and it got me into a bootloop.
Rebooted again in recovery, flashed the FXP zip again, wiped cache and rebooted.
Take a long time. I though it wasn't going to work so I began to write this post.
Now is working fine, even the sound.
Back to the real question. How can I install correctly Viper4Android and use it with Google Play Music in CM11?
Thanks, :silly:
Viper4Android or V4A for short has some issues with staying active. On my older device the Samsung Galaxy S Plus it only worked on a Stock (Gingerbread 2.3.6) ROM..
In V4A you can try the other settings or mode too:
- Compatible mode
(-Safe mode?)
And try again..
If that does not seem to work you best contact the V4A thread/developer and ask there

Youtube has no sound and is laggy after restoring stock rom from ressurection remix

I just restored stock miui, but now youtube is laggy and has no sound. the music player has no sound either, and doesnt play any music. flashing rr rom did not have this issue. i have tried flashing the firmware update linked in rr rom thread, but it did not work. anyone know how i fix this?
things i've tried:
uninstall and reinstall youtube
flash firmware update
reflash arm64 6.0 pico gapps
solved: had to abandon my twrp backup and clean install miui 8.5.5.0 stable
Known issue with restoring backups, although the cause is somewhat unknown.
Most people work around it by keeping the ROM zip along with the backup and dirty flashing on top of their system after restoring the backup.
