Google Apps:
https://opengapps.org/ <- untested, i never used gapps. Please leave a review which one are the best.
Bugs:
You tell...
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", enable develper settings and enable it.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Reboot and set up your device.

Thanks so much for this ROM. I have been using the AICP and Pie beta Roms but for a long time they had issues were my speakerphone wouldnt work for calls any longer. Your rom finally got it to work again and everything else works fine so I am staying on this one for a long time now.
Excellent!

yes, this is the message wich i have after trying to instal the version for 611 :

okay, its easy, next rom will work without this workaround.
just unpack the zip, edit META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script and delete
every line ABOVE ui_print("Target: Sony....
then zip the files again and it will flash.
or you wait for the next release, should come later this day.
edit: new build is uploaded, please test.

you are using the right twrp?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=27997 with this the same problem?

Thx, every thing for now work pretty good.
yes my fault i was on TWRP 3.0.2.0.
Thanks for your help

Just made a clean installation, installed Gapps, Magisk and Xperia Keyboard. Worked fine, but the entire system is sooo slow. Feels like something is hogging the cpu big time?
[EDIT] After a reboot and wiping cache and dalvik it seems to run smoother

Successful dirty flash from the unofficial LOS 14.1 build to this one, using nano gapps 8.1
Thanks!

More feedback from this ROM.
REALLY liking this ROM so far more than the AICP builds. Everything seems to just work fine. The only thing that I wish it had was the Night mode option under Display instead of having to use a 3rd party app.
But if that is all I wish was different, you can tell this is one great rom.

It was my favourite ROM in the "old time" since IceCreamSandwich.
I'm really exited in testing this, when it becomes more stable

The camera does not work
Wohoo! Finally a marshmallow rom appeared next to aosp!
I don't want to test formatting my sd card inside the rom, but can you confirm that the "SD-Card format hard brick bug" is not there (like in AOSP)?

In AOSP it's already fixed in v20
What's the point of installing it when it doesn't have camera working
Just installed the rom. I can report the following things:
- Clean install worked fine, setting up worked fine too
- Phone loses date and time at startup (whatsapp error)
- Cam not working
- Performance is bad (its like energy saving mode in cm12.1, no smooth animations and scrolling)
- pre installed mGerrit app is very unstable (force closing many times)
- Wifi and Mobile data working fine. Didn't test bluetooth yet.
- SD Card gets detected
No daily driver for me, cause of bad performance. (have this bad performance on AOSP too. Vanir has very good performance, but last build is from 1801...)

That is fast! Great job!
Once it attains usable status.. I will install it.. Nice work ashishkotnala29..
Very smooth and fast operation. Only faults so far are small ones.
Ambient sensor not waking up phone as in RR. (is it supposed to?)
Status bar clock and battery modifications not working properly.
Otherwise everything ok so far.
Who would have thought 7 on our note 4g.
Well done to all the brilliant devs involved and thanks for your time and hard work.
Couldn't get past the wizard screen..
I installed both rom and gapps..
Will camera be available in the upcoming updates???
Error Gapps
I've got error flashing gapps pico....
Any advice..? Thx
Any changes to it???? I am using the other version..

What's yoru error code?
Thaaank you all developers! Finally the N comes!
Well though it comes with tiny problems... I believe they're fixed soon
Wish I could help...
And by the way I can only flash the OpenGapps Pico package, maybe /system should be a little larger?
works like charm !!
Though experimental, the ROM is so smooth ! Few bugs but nothing much bothering. You people totally nailed it !
Small question : will a ROM directly built from google's source code be more stable than cyanogen's. No intention to hurt but if so why don't you make one , though features sacrifised we will get a stable one . Thank you

From Android MM 6.0 onwards, you need to flash Gapps right after CM zip.
Correct flash:
1. Flash CM zip
2. Flahs Gapps zip
3. Wipe & Reboot
Wrong flash:
1. Flash CM zip
2. Wipe & Reboot
3. Flash Gapps zip
4. Wipe & Reboot

Well, since last 2 Days I am using it without a single Random Reboot. Which surely means that you guys are doing something wrong.
Install Firmware + ROM + Gapps + Magisk Together .
And if you are installing any other modules or kernels I don't know what's wrong. Stay on stock.
I hear that random reboots, then I say that flash it as I say, then user says that I did the same. Then why not a single Random Reboot on my phone?????????

Can't flash latest TWRP
I have TWRP 3.0 and this will not flash the crDroid. I've already wiped the system - how do I upgrade to 3.2? I have both Odin and ADB - can't figure out how to get it done! Help?

Install using twrp, switch to image install and select twrp.img install to recovery partition
I think the problem is my unit is not compatible: SM-T210R. Can I assume your ROM won't work either? Thanks!
What's the best ROM for this unit? No bloatware, etc.
@thearne3 probably not, but you are welcome to try, but i highly recommend that you be comfortable in recovering from brick. make sure you have all the means to do so, or are ok with a paperweight.
@DarkFrenzy permission to pull source and port?
With exception of camera, everything works very well, including Freedompop service via Sprint data network. Thanks, @DarkFrenzy!
I have a question...
Will it work on SM-T210?
I think they are both 7" and I don't think they have any differences in hardware.
I will be happy if someone will respond

Working just fine for me (minus the mention known issues) on my Sprint SM-T217, in terms of anything crashing.
SafteyNet will NOT pass on this rom! It's something to do with the kernel or the boot image I think I'm not sure.
Basic Integrity is failing which signifies an OS level problem, not a Magisk problem.
Strangly though, disabling and enabling MagiskHide on each boot causes the SafteyNet to pass. Any ideas OP?
Hopefully the dev can look into this.

DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Get TWRP (Official is recommended)
Flash latest Firmware, followed by ROM zip, magisk (optional) should be flashed after booting into the system once (again, don't report bugs if you can't reproduce them with just ROM zip)
Reboot into the system, and enjoy the DerpFest!

Probably the recovery you are using is LR team recovery, which you cant use for flashing android 11 roms.. use the latest mauronofrio twrp recovery and follow the normal flashing instructions for that rom along with formatting the data.. you should be good to go..
