He's just trying to tell you you're wrong. And no they will never do an OTA to 64 bit. It would not help any of those games anyways. The CPU just cannot play those game, has nothing to do with 64 bit.

It may take tremendous interest and development. Not likely, but possible. Still won't help your games.

How to cook up a rom?

What do I need to get started? (Programs to download, etc.)
Any good readings on the particular subject?
Do I need to know any programming languages? (C++, etc.)
How do I know which SPL and radio are required?
How could I fix bugs?
Most importatnly, what are the detailed steps in creating a ROM?
Before I get the unoriginal e-rage phrase: "USE THE SEARCH BUTTON HEH HEH HEH HEH," I have. But when I do, the results are really broad, and I'm not willing to go through 12 pages of non-related threads. And yes, I did use google. Same thing. Androidspin only teaches the basic first parts to creating a ROM, and in my opinion, doesn't really get into it. I'm experienced when it comes to flashing, as I have done it for a while now. I'm not a complete noob as I know what basic terms are when it comes to rooting and flashing. These are the questions I need answered and I would really appreciate it if I had a lending hand to help me get started.
Regards,
well i guess i should ask what OS you're using.

Woops didn't mean to double post. So I should get another partition with linux?
-EDIT-
I'm working on getting ubuntu now..
Well, if we want to build from source (who doesn't), you'll need linux or os x. File moving can be done on any os.

http://ctso.me/2010/01/building-an-android-rom-part-1/ <-- it helps to follow on twitter. you'll be surprised what you'll find.
I was wondering how to do so as well. Could I cook up a rom in os x? Or should I do it in linux in virtualbox?

But it's Microsoft's fault! Trust me Google would rather have the largest Operating System out there be able to build from source, but they CAN'T.

[Q]Ubuntu Phone OS on Xperia V

Hi all,
I'm thinking of buying the Xperia V. Do you think it will be possible to install Ubuntu for Phone after the release and some development? The minimum requirements are met, but I would like to be sure.
There's a boot loader menu for the Xperia S and I would like to know if something like this will be ported to the V. Also, is there any chance the Ubuntu OS could be stripped/customized to a custom Debian rom.
Last question, will we see custom kernels based on Ubuntu for the Xperia?
Thanks in advance!

Untill someone does it then maybe, once its done then yes, however, there seems to be more dev involvement in the xperia T, so if you are into dev then the Tmay be a better option for you.

It may be possible, but it depends if anyone actually wants to do it to see if it will be done.

2018. No news on custom roms for our LG Q6?

I would like to know if we will have some custom Rom in the future. I know the device is relatively newly released, but is there anything stopping it?

Has anyone tried booting the Android Q GSI on the G6 yet?

Would be interesting to know if it even works. Although IIRC the G6 doesn't have 64 Bit support.

It won't work. 64bit is the problem. There is a way to get 64bit working, but the guy who figured it out, took down the information and I can't find it anywhere. I can find the thread about it just fine, but the links he posted are all dead. Essentially all that needs to be done is,
*Make an arm64 compatible twrp.
*Modify some system processes to always run as arm32. (Vendor edits I think.)
*Add some Motorola specific 64bit libs.
I've been wanting to work on this for awhile now. I just need more information.

Sure, here you go. https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/development/dev-64bits-t3708091/
I did get a response from Vache about it. He said all the G5 Plus trees are 64bit now and that I can find the changes in any of them. I looked, and they are all 64bit, but it hasn't helped me find the changes that were needed in the first place. So, I'm still at a loss right now.

There sure is! You can get Android 13 with this build of Lineage OS. If you want to flash it, let me know and I'll be glad to help you, as I have some experience with flashing.
