How to prevent System Update from 6.0.1 to 7.1.1? - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Need help!
I just factory reset my Nexus 6, root it and found in About phone - System update - "System update downloaded and... (restart now)".
I am definitely not want to update from 6.0.1 to 7.1.1, so I am going to Google play service and clean all data. And found that System update start downloading immediately again with only options "Pause downloading", so I pause it for now. I am also found this topic https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/help/how-to-stop-update-downloaded-t3157232 , but it about 5.1.1 and the answer is wrong, because there is no "Automatic System Updates toggle" in 6.0.1 Nexus 6 (this option came in 7.0). I am also installed Disable services app, and disable SystemUpdateService in Google Play Services and Google Services Framework, but it not work.
I am also try another method - Rename /system/etc/security/otacerts.zip to otacerts_bak.zip , but its also didnt work for me
So, how to prevent it, cos I am afraid to reboot my phone?

It's been forever long since MM. I think things were different then, but some ideas;
Long press the notification and a settings gear/cog should be available. From Settings select "Turn off notifications update"
Go to settings -> apps -> Google Play services (not store - you may need to "show system apps") then uncheck the notification box.
Settings -> about device -> software update -> check for updates
There might be an toggle in developer options (tap on build number 7 times to enable developer options)

I try most of those ideas in start topic. Notification not a problem, I am already blocked it - problem with downloading.
And, as I said, Developer options didnt have it in 6.0, only from 7.0

Hmm, maybe I found solution for my question:
Not enough to kill SystemUpdateService, but when I killed SystemUpdateService Activity receiver, System Update options just disappear from menu "About".
Can somebody confirm it?

Screen overlay detected

After updating my Huawei Mate S to Android Marshmallow EMUI 4.0.1 (CRR-L09C432B361) I am having screen overlay issue. Sorry, I can't give screenshot. Gallery, facebook upload, Gmail etc. are not working properly. I am getting a message like this- "Screen overlay detected- To change this permission setting you first have to turn off the screen overlay from Settings > Apps". When I click on Settings tab, it takes me to a settings section named "Draw over other apps". When I click on the relevant app, I find some of their permissions denied, which I can't turn on. I did some googling and found some other related posts mostly indicating to disable some kind of screen filtering apps or clean master which I don't have. Tried resetting, then wiping cache data, didn't fix. Tried disabling developer options, didn't work. Can anyone help to solve this issue.
As you probably know by now & as I understand it, this is a security measure, which will trigger Marshmallow to pop-up 'Screen overlay detected...' warnings each time you try to change an app's permissions (i.e. for the apps that are affected by this 'drawing over other apps' feature).
There are 2 ways to get around this so you are allowed to freely change apps' permissions (do one or the other - whichever is more convenient for you):
1. Go to Settings > Apps > access 'Advanced' (near the bottom) > under 'Advanced' subsection, access 'Draw over other apps'. Here, individually change the settings of ALL the apps to 'No' (in other words, disable 'Permit drawing over other apps' for every app). Once done, you can freely change apps' permissions in Settings > Apps > [name of app] > 'Permissions' without the annoying 'Screen overlay detected...' warning popping-up every time. Once you have correctly changed the permissions (for every app that's not working properly), you should return to individually change each of the apps' settings to 'Yes' in the 'Draw over other apps' section (in other words, re-enable 'Permit drawing over other apps' for every app).
or (easier for me)
2. Reboot your phone into Safe Mode (click here if you need to know how). Once in Safe Mode, you can freely change apps' permissions in Settings > Apps > [name of app] > Permissions without the annoying 'Screen overlay detected...' warning popping-up every time. Once you have correctly changed the permissions (for every app that's not working properly), restart the phone as normal.
For both of the above & If you prefer, all changeable apps' permissions can also be easily done via Settings > Apps > access 'Advanced' (near the bottom) > access 'App permissions'.
If some apps are still not working as they should, check to see that the affected apps have 'Yes' below their name in the Apps > Advanced > 'Draw over other apps' section, AND they have ALL their permissions enabled under the Settings > Apps > [name of app] > 'Permissions' section.

Don't you need the phone to be rooted to do that?
I suspect most users would have an unrooted phone.

Will this also work on Nougat? Running resurrection remix 5.8 on Mi max Hydrogen. Running LMT Pie launcher prevents me from granting any permissions or sideloading any APKs. Is this specifically for the Mate S?
If it's safe to flash on nougat on the Mi Max, I could try it on Mi Max.

New Option : 'force allow apps on external'

So running latest B378 nougat stock rom, I saw in Developer Settings a new Option called : 'force allow apps on external'.
But I canĀ“t toggle this option.
So what have I to do to use Nougats new Option`????

Anyone updated to 7.0 from L09C432B180 yet?

As title says, anyone done it?
I had lots of troubles with my phone when I got it. ****ty battery and lag. Found a thread here and manually updated to 180, and all the problems where gone. But I have since not gotten any updates. And it says nothing in the phones update notes for the update I manually installed(Probably normal after a manual update). Just worried that now I won't get any OTA for newer updates. It's a Norwegian phone. No phones here are branded.
Hi.

FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS
I already posted those instructions on another thread.
- Make sure that you're on VIE-L09C432B181
- Make sure that you have more than 60% battery
- Now make a backup from your PC with HiSuite
- Now install Firmware Finder from Play Store (link)
- Now go to the Settings -> Advanced settings ->Security -> Device administration ->> NOW activate "Unknown sources"
- Now open Firmware Finder and select your model (ex: VIE-L09C432)
- Now click on "GET FIRMWARE LIST"
- Now go to the Settings of Firmware Finder & activate "Installation via system update"
- You will see a pop up "Huawei Firmware Finder Proxy" click "DOWNLOAD ADDON"
- When download is finished, install in on your mobile & open it
- Re open settings of Firmware finder & check if "Installation via system update" activated, if not activate it for the 2nd time
-- Now on Firmware Finder and select your model as VIE-L09C432 (only if your model is this)
- Now click on "GET FIRMWARE LIST" & select first one where you see "VIE-L09C432B360" date:03.03.2017 TypeTA Size:1.334GB
- When you selected "VIE-L09C432B360" now you'll see an option "SEND FIRMWARE TO UPDATER" click on it
- Now it will automatically open a page "Firmware Finder Proxy"
- Now go to the Wi-Fi & connect to one Wi-Fi and now "Modify network" then "Show advanced options" now select "Proxy" as "Manuel"
- On write on Proxy hostname: localhost
- On write on Proxy port: 8080
- Now go to Settings -> System update & now click on "CHECK FOR UPDATES"
- Now you'll gonna see an update name "VIE-L09C432B360VIE-L09C432B360 -1430186368,00 B" don't download this one ! this one is not the correct one !
- Back to System update & you'll still this the wrong update, don't worry, click on "MENU" & click on "Download latest full package"
- Now you'll see the correct update "VIE-L09C432B360 2,39 GB" now just click on "Quick update"
- It will not download, don't worry, just go to the Wi-Fi settings and disable "Proxy"
- Go again to System update and click on pause & resume
- Wait till the end of the download & after your mobile will install automatically the update you downloaded
If you followed my instructions, it will install successfully B360.

Found here
I've tried that and can't get it to show me a 2+GB version. It still sticks to 1.3nGB, downloads and fails when doing the pre-install check.
Only difference is I'm on B180 not B181 (EVA-L09C432B180).
hi care app and huawei id. in hicare is operating system section, where you need to be able to sign up for nuget!
Update: Tried again. Downloaded and installed, but I lost a number of apps (camera, system update etc) and doing a reset, I'm now stuck on NRD90M test keys as a build.
What's most annoying is that the default keyboard is gone, so I can only enter text using Google voice (and that doesn't let me log in to Google) so the phone is as good as bricked until I can figure out if I want to waste time trying to side load a keyboard etc.
Can't even do a full download/restore as that fails.
What the heck happened? The advice from gamingprod02 seemed solid, but can cause big problems!
Install full b136 by dload... No choice I guess..

It sounds like the control center blur on your Oneplus 5 phone may be a graphical glitch caused by the November security patch. Here are a few things you can try to fix this issue:
Restart your phone: Sometimes, simply restarting your phone can fix minor graphical glitches and other issues.
Check for updates: Make sure that you have the latest version of the Set Edit app and any other apps that you are using. Updating to the latest version may fix the control center blur issue.
Clear the cache: Clearing the cache of the Set Edit app and any other apps that you are using may help to fix the issue. To do this, go to "Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Set Edit > Storage > Clear cache."
Reset the app: If clearing the cache does not fix the issue, you can try resetting the Set Edit app. To do this, go to "Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Set Edit > Storage > Clear data."
Factory reset: If none of the above steps work, you may need to factory reset your phone. Please note that this will erase all data on your phone, so make sure to back up any important files before proceeding. To factory reset your phone, go to "Settings > System > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset)."
I hope these suggestions help to fix the control center blur issue on your Oneplus 5 phone. If you continue to have problems, you may want to consider reaching out to the developers of the Set Edit app or contacting Oneplus customer support for further assistance.
