Sony Xperia E1 (D2005) Failed Philz Recovery. Stuck in bootloop with no recovery!!! - Sony Xperia E1

Hello everyone. I am in real trouble here and I will explain why. I have recently tried to get the custom recovery with a locked bootloader (philz touch) on my device by following a thread. As far as I know I followed the guide properly but when my device rebooted it bootlooped 10x and then when my device booted it froze at the lock screen and restarted. now my device bootloops several times before boot and once it boots I get 1min at the most before it freezes and restarts. Also sometimes it fails to boot at all and it gets stuck in an infinate bootloop and I have to pull the battery. when I connect it to my laptop with a usb cable it is only recognised if the device boots but I only have a few seconds because the phone reboots and disconnects when I try and enter recovery or download mode my screen goes black and the only way to get of this is to pull the battery. I have also tried to connect to my laptop when on this black screen but i have had no success. If I turn the phone off and connect it to my laptop via usb when I am on the "battery charging screen" it appears on my computer as a unknown usb device. i do have all the drivers ect. my device is rooted with baidu root if that helps. ive heard of a little device called a usb jig would that be useful to me? sorry if this is not worded very well or looks like a book. Im not a idiot but not quite "tech savy" i would like to think i am somewhere in the middle. I have been using this site for years for various devices and always managed to succeed. help would be apprecited. Thanks
UPDATE: I have tried to factory reset from the settings but for some reason the button is greyed out and it wont let me press it! also I cannot connect to wifi or mobile data these are greyed out aswell and when I try to connect via the sliders in the settings menu they are also greyed out!!!

Hi, you need an unlocked bootloader for it to work properly. You can find how to unlock the bootloader by going to Sony's website and see where it says to unlock the bootloader or just look for it on Google. To get back to the stock rom (Android 4.4.2 KitKat), you will need Flashtool and the stock rom. You can find the rom on Google by just typing "sony xperia e1 d2005 stock rom". To get the recovery just try looking for it on XDA. And USB Jig will not work for Sony devices. USB Jig is only designed to work with Samsung devices.

bricked my lg o4x.... please Help...

Hello,
i was trying to unlock my bootloader...i tried everything... my lg is euro-xxx
after a hundred attempts there was an error message every time i tried to boot from the bootloader ; [security error] boot image signature..
i tried to fix it flashing the original bootloader from the ''all in one tool''.. nothing happened.. and because i am a stupid noob i thought that a factory reset might re-wright this and restore it to its previous state... and guess what.. it didn't! and now my phone is dead. Even when i connect it via usb (it doesn't matter if it is the wall charger or the pc) the phone keeps looping to that error message....
please help me, i am desperate....:crying:
just after the first post there was a very fortunate turn of events!!!...at least that's what i think... when i connected my phone to the pc the loop in the bootloader stopped and there is a charging indicator instead.. is there anyone who can tell me if there is a way to fix my poor lg? i only have it for a week.......

Did you root your phone first?
The same problem happened to me when i tried unlocking the bootloader however i just kept on restarting my device and it worked for me; try to turn on the phone by only using the charger. Also keep tapping the power button while the phone is turning on (try everything, i dont know if it will work for you but it just worked for me).
If you manged to turn on your phone use the LG PC Suite to do an Emergency recovery, this will reset your phone. Then i unlocked the boot loader first before rooting the phone use cmd instead of the all in one program.
there are yt videos on how to do this but i am a new user iam not able to post them

Have I hard-bricked my device?

Please excuse me if I'm repeating a prior question but it seems far too specific to trawl through pages of related threads to make sure.
I decided I was going to sit down and root my Xperia Z1....
Steps:
1. I installed ADB and Fastboot via the latest windows Android SDK (r23-.0.2), in fact I had to source a sony version of the fastboot driver in order to get it working but once I'd done that all went ahead as planned.
2. Generally followed this guide (wont let me post a link but google "honami cyanogenmod" and it's the 2nd result)
3. All was going swimmingly, I entered fastboot mode absolutely fine, flashed CWM using fastboot which all loaded up absolutely fine.
3. At this stage ADB was not picking up my device at all, tried different cables, ports, all of the usual. What I didn't do was make a backup, and then I wiped all of the things that it's possible to wipe thinking to myself that I was going to get Cyanogenmod on there so all would be fine...
4. Finally I (quite stupidly) restored from memory card (which had already been wiped) from inside CWM, the device restarted and now I am getting no response AT ALL.
5. Sometimes it will load the Sony 'splash' logo that first appears but sometimes not, when plugged in the device is recognised and ADB actually sees the device but lists it as offline... Interestingly at this stage windows device installer actually installs Sony ADB driver for me automatically.
6. All I'm getting at the moment is a red flashing LED although when I plug in via USB the device is again recognised when I type adb devices but again is offline...
If any more information is needed please, I will be more than happy to give a quick reply.
Thank you in advance

Were you trying to root your phone or install cyanogenmod? You followed a guide to install cyanogenmod on xperia Z1.

I was trying to end up with a rooted device running Cyanogenmod, I've been putting it off and off looking into the whole rooting scene and mistakenly dived in a little too quick without knowing what I was doing.
after that you move cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-honami.zip to your sd card. Now you have flashed boot.img you can't move zip to your sd card using z1 you had to do that before using fastboot. use some sd card adapter and do it. then put the sd card back in your phone. turn it on then enter the cwm recovery pressing Vol+ for a few seconds when the sony logo shows up. select full wipe data. then install from zip. choose cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-honami.zip. reboot. ADB won't work until you have installed cyanogenmod zip. You have only installed cyanogenmod kernel and custom recovery when you flashed the boot.img.

Firstly AkiraProject thank you for your time on this.
I do realise that in my stupidity I could have loaded the cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-honami.zip to my SD card (if I'd had one or waited and gotten one).
What I did however was wipe everything I possibly could, and then hit restore from sdcard/0/ I believe - it may have been a different directory.
I believe what I have done is restored to a blank image......
WHen not plugged into usb I get a red blinking LED when just pressing the power button once.
When holding volume-up + Power the phone vibrates as if it is trying to boot but is unable to
If I leave it plugged into USB AND then press , the device shows the sony Logo and then proceeds to display a backlit but plain black screen, Sony PC Companion recognises the device as connected but is unable to interact with it. The output of "adb devices" shows my device but says "unauthorized" and windows is attempting to install MTB driver....
The behaviour doesnt seem to be quite the same every time.
I believe the device is soft bricked.... is this likely to be a case of a wiped partition table? Or at least loss of the boot partition?
If I leave the device plugged in via USB it periodically reboots itself, shows the Sony logo, remains on a bank screen then shuts itself down.
Shows in device manager as "USB Input Device" on win 7 x64 pro
Thanks in advance
Pretty certain it's not hard bricked, there will be instructions here you can follow:

I have done quite a lot of reading etc on the subject....
according to This thread, Sony Xperias have the bootloader in non-writable mask ROM... so you should always be able to access Fastboot or Flash Mode?
The problem I am having is that I don't seem to be able to activate EITHER Fastboot OR Flash mode in order to flash some new firmware onto my device....
My device is recognized as a "USB Input Device" on Device Manager and windows tries to install MTP driver. I'm going to have a go at the process with a fresh install of windows 7 x64 and 'windows auto-install drivers' turned off.
What is the maximum damage I could have done here?
Thanks
Update
Hard reset (red button inside of the sim-card slot) resets the phone with three vibrates and it restarts.
The phone powers on and displays Sony splash screen and then displays a back-lit black screen.
The phone gets much hotter than normal and powers on to the blank back-lit screen when on charge.
I have NO ACCESS to flash mode or fast boot. Any combination of buttons leads to the same outcome: single vibrate, red LED and the phone shows the Sony splash screen then blank screen, as if the button combinations are just ignored...
Flashtool DOES NOT recognize the device, although it is recognized as C6903 in device manager (I have Sony adb driver installed and have disabled the MTP driver that windows recommends).
Flashtool gives me the red error text about making sure drivers are installed and making sure the device isn't in MTP mode.
I'm at an absolute loss as to what to try next, can somebody shed any light on this? There are plenty of guides but they all seem to rely on EITHER fastboot or flash mode and I can access neither although the phone powers on!
Thanks in advance!
Maybe the partition was corrupted when you flash "blank" image..........
So....JTAG....or send to Sony service....
Shutdown with power+vol up (will vibrate thrice) and see if it doesn't turn on automatically.
If it didn't turn on now check your task manager on windows, go to process tab, kill adb.exe (every adb.exe)
Back on phone connect usb holding down the vol down button (phone have to be off before you connect usb), if green led turns on and doesn't turn off you are on flashmode.
Check on flashtool or flashtool64 (for 64bits) and see if flashtool detects your device. If it detects and recognizes your phone flash the FTF for your device and let it do its job.
As you messed the phone Sony will charge for repairs.

[Q] How to unbrick my 4X - a question of life and death!

I have half-bricked P880. Bought just a week ago.
My ROM is stock V10C. I’m trying to get rid of that crap ROM, but so far without success.
I have rooted the phone but flashify is the only app saing that the phone is not rooted. Every other app which requires root is normally working. I can’t unlock the bootloader because phone can’t be recognized by any computer, using different Windows, USB cables etc. It just shows charging but PC doesn’t see any connected device. Nor the phone shows any connection option when I connect it to PC by USB.
I’ve tried to install TWRP (without success) and CWM (successfully) but the phone can’t be load into bootloader. Just an LG logo will appear and this error message:
[LGE_SECURITY ERROR] boot image signature
Critical failure: Unable to start kernel
Unrecoverable bootloader error (0x00000002)
I think it’s still locked.
This method hasn’t help either…
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251407
What’s more, the error message appears almost every time I try to turn on the phone. Sometimes it takes 10 attempts until the phone will finally boot into Android.
Yes I’ve tried basic things like playing with USB debug mode, LG PC suite option/USB tethering… please don’t respond to my question by that kind of suggestions, I’m no rookie in flashing roms and Android problems.
Only hope for me is to flash kdz file via PC (when the phone is off and battery out). BUT I’m unable to do that, due to problem that the phone is again NOT RECOGNIZED by PC. Of course I've tried every kind of LG driver but the problem is in the phone, because the PC won’t even notify by sound that a phone has been connected to it. So I need to change the corrupted bootloader… somehow.
I’ve already searched everything to this issue on XDA and elsewhere - without any solution. So I’m 95% the phone is half-bricked without any chance to flash new ROM.
If none of those things that you said doesnt work, as last resort you should try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-4x-hd/general/s-stuck-rescue-ultimate-rescue-guide-t3012444
Thank you for a quick reply! However the autor of the method says:
i mean when you get stucked with S/W screen, and you can't flash the device in any way

In my case I can't say that I'm stuck with S/W screen. Because I don't even get in there. Any PC in my home (XP/Windows 7) don't even recognize that a mobile has been connected to it. So there is no S/W screen. The only way I can get in S/W screen is to keep the battery in, but it doesn't solve anything. Because the phone remains unrecognized to PC. Therefore I'm unable to flash anything. A simple explanation in here arose: the USB port in my phone is faulty. BUT, how that can be, when the USB charging works fine and even S/W screen appears while the battery is in?
Either way I'll keep your suggestion as the final solution(since I'm very skeptical of it and also dont have screwdriver small enought to take out those tine srews) if there will be no other responce to my problem.
I'm not very experienced in things like this, but when I was flashing kdz to my phone, my computer wasn't able to recognize the phone with battery out, so I did whole process with battery in (and it worked)
anyway if you want to unlock the bootloader you have to update to official JB (just flash JB kdz and then wipe data in LG recovery to prevent bootloop)
so first you have to connect somehow your phone in sw mode to computer
then flash JB kdz and wipe data in LG recovery (it should be back even if you've flashed twrp)
and finally root JB and unlock bootloader (for example this way I found by two clicks here at xda, just browse Optimus 4x general category: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251407 )
I hope I helped you a bit
I agree with you SuperLamic. Especially with this:
so first you have to connect somehow your phone in sw mode to computer
Click to collapse
My only hope is to flash kdz file using fastboot mode. However after days of searching on XDA, installing all kinds of drivers, trying different methods etc., I'm still unable to connect my phone to PC.
Any PC I tryied so far haven't even made a sound while pluging my LG to it. Nor it's vissible in the list of connected USB devices.
So now I'm sure that a USB port on my phone is faulty There is no other possible explanation. But thank you all for your suggestions anyway.
P.S.
There is maybe a tiny chance for workaround by unlocking the bootloader without PC. But this method doesn't work. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251407 With unlocked bootloader I woud be able to solve the problem without PC. Right now I can't install TWRP nor CWM because they require bootloader to be unlocked. CWM in ROM Manager always says that installation was successful but actualy, it wasn't. Since there is always this error when I try to load recowery mod...
[LGE_SECURITY ERROR] boot image signature
Critical failure: Unable to start kernel
Unrecoverable bootloader error (0x00000002)
EDIT:
So I find out that only JB ROMs can be unlocked. It's not possible with my stock ICS. So there is really only one solution: repair my USB port on LG to flash kdz. But I'm afraid that these days a repair will cost more than the phone itself :[

Phone locked at logo boot, usb debugging disabled

Hi all,
I rooted my phone and unclocked bootloader.
My rom is a stock rom.
I managed to install CWM recovery using lg-optimus-4xhd-recovery-v1.0.apk but something happened.
I rebooted my phone in recovery mode and it is always locked to LG logo.
Pressing Volume up and power I can see normal android system recovery, wiping cache and factory reset don't work.
I haven't usb debugging enable so my computer can't see the phone connected with usb cable, and it's impossible for me flashing the phone with kdz rom methods.
What can I do?
Thx in advance for your answers
No one can help me?
Flashing with kdz results in "phone was not found", is there a way to resolve? I've tried with ubuntu, OS (adb) only see my phone if usb debugging is enabled and it isn't, and with a laptop running win8, installing LG drivers and so on, nothing works.
This is salvagable
If you can get the stock recovery mode, all is not lost, all of the important bits are still functioning.
Power down. Hold VolDn and insert the USB cable. If you get the Software Update screen with a green icon you CAN recover the phone. It may require a battle with Windows to get it to play nice, Windows and USB is always a hit or miss affair; but the phone is ok if that screen appears. Do not use the VolUP + Power LG Recovery mode, there isn't a known tool for that in the wild.
I don't normally run Windows and the couple of times I have booted it to do this it required some hassle and usually skipping the nice way since I had never installed the bundled LG Desktop stuff before things went wrong. So just do what I did, pick the Emergency mode that requires inputting the IMEI instead of letting it detect your phone and then let it fix things for you.

Many thanks for your answer, I resolved the problem late at night, yes, after a hard battle with windows.
I installed windows 7 32 bit, I tried a lot of Lg drivers, 3.8.1 maybe the best, after inserting the USB cable with SW Update screen some LG peripherals were recognized but the result in KDZ_FW_UPD was always "phone was not found", then I tried connecting USB cable with the Phone in Android recovery mode ( power & Vol up), and OS added a couple more peripherals, and attempting again with SW Upgrade mode worked.

Phone bricked, please help.

I tried researching for information on this but wasn't able to resolve it. Basically, i have the same problem as here; Flashed a ROM, but after flashing it I found out I did it for the wrong model (5833 instead of 5803). When flashing the rom I wiped Dalvik, Cache, Data and System, and now I'm stuck at the Sony startup screen. It won't let me go into recovery mode.
I too tried to flash stock using flashtools, but it tells me "INFO - Device Status: NOT FOUND". I tried using the Sony PC companion restore function but I get the same problem, telling me there's no phone/device connected.
EDIT: I tried following the steps from this post, but I'm still stuck at the Sony loading screen.
Is there anything to do?
Have you tried the following with the sony companion?
Shut down the phone completely by pressing power and vol+ until the red led lights up and it vibrates a few times.
Now without connecting the phone you go to pc companion, update > repair my phone > select the model > check the boxes and go forward in the menue until it promts you to connect the phone. Your internet connection of your pc should be working for this.
Make sure you have the original cable or another high quality cable, blow into the micro sd slot on the phone in case there is some dirt in it. Might also check it with a light for some foreign partikels stuck in there.
Oke, assuming there is no actual crap in the micro sd slot, when pc companion prompts you to conntect the phone you do as it says, you press vol- and connect the phone to the pc at the same time.
The process takes a very long time so be patient or do something else while its repairing. If its not working try one more time.
If its still not working try to get it shipped in for sony warranty repair by calling the hotline and lying about your abuse of the phone and just say it suddenly stopped working.
Other options are to pay for repair at a phone repair shop or sell the brick.

First see if fastboot devices command gives your phone serial no. or not. If yes then it's a good news, flash recovery again, boot into recovery, flash rom and boot system.
If not, you may need to update your device driver in PC.
First possibility: your fastboot driver in pc needs to be updated.
2nd possibility: Some phones have EDL mode (emergency download) , google if your phone has it. Then you can probably use some tool to restore your phone from this mode.
