Any answers please

apps probably compress it since it's not for storage its for posting on the internet. just take a picture from the camera app then using your social media app upload from local storage.
if from the phones gallery the picture is good but in the social app its trash then look no further.
social media is always to be blamed in any type of situation.

[Q] How to share higher resolution pictures

Is there a way to share higher resolution pictures on apps such as Facebook or Twitter from the Camera program? When I take a picture and want to share it I click on the menu button -> Share and select Facebook or Twitter. Problem is the picture that's shared is TINY even though I'm taking a 5MP picture and you can't even make out anything. Is there a setting for this anywhere where I can adjust the resolution it's sent out at?
How are you trying to share the photo? Using AllShare?
All default options such as Google mail, Bluetooth, etc shares complete pic.

I'm sharing it directly from the Camera app. Ie I take the picture and when it shows the preview there is a Share button. I like the button and a list pops up of ways to share it which includes Facebook and Twitter. The problem I have is that what it uploads is a tiny resolution (320x240) picture that can barely be made out. Is there a way to change the resolution that is uploaded to these sites?
Bump...anyone know how to do this?

[Q] Camera Having to Rescan Media?

Anyone else annoyed by this? When I take photos with the default 2.2 camera app, they don't show up in the gallery. I have to install and run the "rescan media root" application. Kind of annoying when you want to share a photo quickly.
This problem is especially bad with the Camera Magic application, which is a great little free app, and has a gallery button, but never shows the pictures in the gallery until I have run rescan media root.
Please move to Q&A if you want, I thought this forum was the best place for this.

The default camera shouldnt be doing that. The 3rd party camera on the other hand... only real solution to that would be write the app devs.

Nice one... Will surely test this
Loved the camera app. There's a noticeable difference in pictures taken.
Nice, thanks.
A couple of points, though:
- the camera app does not want to save pictures on my phone (nor on my wife's) unless I also install the gallery app
- the panorama function does not seem to work no matter what
Edit: OK, panorama works on my wife's Moto G 3gen. It does not work on my OnePlus One.
:good::good: Cool, I should follow you and do the same thing. Hope it's great.
Hey thanks for sharing, does this improve photos quality?
Doenst have an option to save the pictures and videos on SDcard, just save on internal memory
Thanks for sharing.. Really good camera app.. Use it as my default and even freeze the default one comes with ROMs.. The only problem I have is Flash light.. Sometimes it failed even though it is in on mode. Otherwise really good camera.
It is certainly a great app, however, I wonder why it doesn't allow to change the iso values. Thanks a lot!

As you said that the camera app does not want to save pictures on your phone, you need to check your file manager. The pictures taken from HTC Camera doesn't show up in the stock gallery, so to view this pictures you need to use HTC Gallery or any other file manager.:good:
Thanks a lot for sharing needful content, I was really aware of some of the points mentioned above.

pictures and videos lag

hi there, i got me a oneplus 3t and i love it. one problem that i am having is that when i open the gallery and chose one big file like whatsapp videos or photos it takes a very long time to show the pics of videos on the screen. my old samsung S6 was way faster in doing that.
i tried another program QuickPic but i am having the same problem.
i know this is not normal but how can i fix it.
thank you
I have a lag also when i enter a folder that contain a lot of videos
so it is a normal thing?!

Galaxy note 8 ( N950F ) camera app

Hi guys.
I have a problem with note 8 camera app.
in the note 8 camera app, can access to all images and videos in gallery.
in other brands, camera app just can access to images and videos that took by phone camera.
anyone can solve this problem?
or any report to samsung development team?
I'd like a solution to this too
it doesn't make sense for it to show pictures from other folders
You are right, it is annoying
It's so annoying to see what's app and telegram images in there . I agree.

Why not just go to albums and then the camera folder for that?
This seems like a feature, not a bug.

what OP meant was when you're using the camera
the preview circle at the bottom right of the camera app
it does not display pictures taken only from camera app but from every other folder as well
which is not appropriate as pictures coming from whatsapp may sometimes not be suitable while sharing with your friends and they accidentally swiped an extra swipe and the camera app revealed the devil trapped inside you for god knows why you have such/receiving such photos
