I don't use Z, so I'll be dumping my question here.
My father's Z is telling him to update firmware for the third time in the past few days, did Sony just pumped out that many firmwares in such a short period of time? Or did he didn't install it properly, and I should just snatch the phone from and update for him?

Yup in the past few days xperia z has recieved two firmware updates (one is .569 and other .101)
You should update the phone as it offers many new features and better stanby time
I saw from PTCRB website that a new update is coming and that is is 769. Is it true? Does sony acknowledge the issues regarding 757? Its so frustrating that i bought a new phone 1 week ago and started to posting about bugs in this group. Bravo sony -

we might not get that update just because its certitfied does not mean we will get it but i hope we do ,its over a month now and no update of yet,
It seems that OPO users start recieving cos13 ota 1 hour ago. Any news for ZUK?

CM13 snapshot/stable version is available since long. try that. no idea about COS 13 though.

OPPO and 1+1 received cos 13 last days, so I'm sure, that zuk receive it soon.

I don't remember but I'm pretty sure it's a joint effort.
Having said that I'm pretty disappointed that the ZUK Z1 (so far the latest COS flagship) is late compared to OPO.
The lack of communication from both ZUK and Cyngn is even worse. When I had the OPO the communication via their blog was good, here we are left in the middle of nowhere.....

I think they were referring to ZUI and not COS 13. I've never heard anything official about COS MM update........ but I can be wrong.

Indeed, Zuk should not be considered some cheap cell company but the fact is that they are acting like it. They've been anouncing COS 13 for a few month now and still nothing.
About the tweet, it's just another Zuk Z1 giveaway in andro4all youtube channel sponsored by zuk.. So, not about the update we're all waiting unfortunetely..

Oh, this isn't good. I thought buying a phone officially supported by Cyanogen means getting next to nexus quick updates but I guess I was wrong. At least we have CM13 roms. My previous device was Sony Z2 and the funny thing is that even that device has been officially updated to MM and yet Z1 has not received the latest Android.

1.MM anouncement from december its about ZUI ROM în witch case they kept their word.
2. I do not think that the tweet its about a cheap giveaway on youtube... If it is about that, it means that ZUK marketing team is full of idiots and monkeys. Hope is not so.

Hey , We can get some prompted at this Time , I exampled and get Informations about Mali T624 or T628 GPU , When another Device with Another User Interface can , What For Huawei Can't !?
Wasted time for Xiaomi Mi 1S or Low Level Phones with cheap Price yeah , But 500$ phones at old no !!!

I think it's a pretty good idea to port MIUI to Huawei p8. It should be possible.
There's already a port for P7 and P9.
I think Miui 8 should be good.
So I think this can be done

My only thing is, that I can start this work with begin on January.
Until the end of the year 2017 I have a lot of things to do.
First my regular job and I planed to make two new Roms similar than MagicArrow for P8 and P9 before Christmas.
But next year I can help you to do porting MIUI.

Sorry , But when you paid 500$ for a Phone at 2 Years Ago (For Example)
Now can Buy For Example Again (OnePlus 5 or Mi 6) Both of Them are Latest and Strongest Android Phones at Any Where !
If you wanna 1000$ from 4 Years and now , can Do it !

I hope they will take time and finally polish out the bugs that are in there!
i think i'm seeing a pattern with security updates, they usually release on the second working week of each month. (i assume they beta test the first week)
so for feb it should be this week as first week of feb was holiday. we'll see i guess, i agree, nice to have good stable updates rather then buggy rushed ones. sure, it's nice to have security patches on time but android one devices are miles ahead of the pack anyway so couple weeks after pixels sounds good.
edit: ok, there's definetly a pattern, second working friday each month - will confirm over the next months...

For the A1, I don't have screenshot, but a few members of a Facebook group (created for a1, a2, a2 lite owners) posted they received it.
that looks promising, 240mb maybe they fixed some bugs in addition to the security patch

Hi, I have just updated my Xiaomi A2 with the Februari update. After installing, the phone is in normal operation mode. Then it said that I had to restart the phone.
After restarting, the phone keeps hanging in the white Android One start screen. Even the screen keeps on for minutes. I can't do anything. Also no hard reset or something else.
Do you do have any ideas?

mine seemed to stay a bit too long on the android one screen too after the restart, but couple of minutes later when i picked it up it was fully booted...
